What are Ryuami's? wrote:
A Ryuami is a hybrid between a dragon and a wolf; they vary in size. They can be as small as a mouse or a bit larger then a car. They have soft wolf fur, with a patch of dragon scales on their back. They have wolf ears, the left one is pierced with feather earrings when they are born. Each earring feather is different. They have glow on their long soft tail and their legs. This glow allows them to hover, but they can't go any higher then when the tops of trees. Ryu's have long sharp claws, mainly used for hunting or defending themselves. Ryuami's lives in forests, which they protect and watch over. They are intelligent and know many languages; given to them by their dragon DNA. Ryuami's are fascinated by humans and usually choose to share their souls with one, help them get close and understand humans more. This does not mean they are bound to you, a Ryuami can not be held down, it just means they bonded with you and you share their soul. Ryuami's live for thousands of years but are not immortal, but when a Ryuami dies the last of them lives in you as long as you live and passes down through your family. Sharing a soul with a Ryuami, is an honor.
Ryuami are connected to the earth and nature, they are magical, intelligent, creatures with passions and personality's but not all Ryuami's are bright and colorful. There are Ryuami out there that hate and refuse to care, these Ryuami only care about themselves, but will share their souls with humans as dark and as wicked as them. These Ryuami have more dragon like eyes, instead of wolf like eyes. Ryuami's also come in different rarities, from common, uncommon, rare, very rare, and obber rare. They can have different horns, ears, manes, nose tendrils, and very rarely do they ever have wings, more than two horns, and more than two feathers.
These creatures are harmless to humans unless they try to harm them. Ryu's love baby's and have soft spot for them. They eat meat, but stick to deer, elk, or other wildly populated animals around them. They protect forest and fill children's dreams with wonder. Ryuami's are not real ^^

Personality ⋙ Eito was a very loyal, very brave Ryuami. He stood up for his peers no matter what. He was also a seasoned warrior, he was very strong. Eito usually guarded royalty.
Other than that, he can be quite a sap. One of the things that can bring this brave creature down are cats. For some reason they remind him of himself, tigers especially. The stripes, obviously, but also how bold, cautious, and graceful they were. More often than not, whenever he's not around with friends or doing his job, he would be seen helping a mother feline with her kits.
He also really liked sakura blossoms. They were his favorite flower, and his home is decorated to the brim with them. The pink trees also grew in his backyard, as a forest of some sort. It was paradise to him.█He was really addicted to ramen. Especially shrimp flavored ramen. It was one of the only things he ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with the occasion of a different snack if he was (god forbid), out of ramen. He would usually go out searching for a restaurant that serves the noodles, in that case. If he was busy or not feeling up to it, he would get something different.

Backstory
Eito was born into a very poor family. They barely made do with the little food they salvaged.
It was ironic, Eito's name meant wealth. Yet they were about as poor as dirt.
The Ryuami decided to make a goal. He wanted to bring fortune to his family. And to do this, he thought he must become a brave warrior. Eito usually practiced on trees and other plants in the forest next to their house, slowly but surely learning some skills, but just training on foliage wasn't enough.
One day, an elderly Ryuami was strolling through the same forest that Eito was training in. He saw potential in the young creature- the determination in his eyes, the burning passion. He decided to take him under his belt, and train him himself. The old Ryuami cooked his poor family dinners after tiring training sessions, much to their gratitude. This was how Eito found his love for ramen.
Having the elder as his tutor definitely boosted his fighting skills. As he got older, his skills became better and better- and once he finally beat his teacher in a friendly spar he set off. A royal family had heard of his mastery, and hired him to guard them, which he did. They paid a good coin for his loyal services, which he immediately sent off to his family.
Eito hates spending money. He was taught to 'get as much as you can with as little as you have' by his parents, and the rule stuck to him firmly. His home is decorated with homemade items, just about none of it was bought.
The Ryuami finally gathered enough money to move his family into a safer home, in a better place. He still regularly sends them money to help out, he loved his family afterall.
