Val admires Sparta's strength and warrior's spirit-- but isn't really the fighting type herself. When she asked Sparta whether he'd be her valetine, at first he seemed quite puzzled by the idea-- though he did agree, he didn't seem to catch the meaning of it. Val drug him around all day showing him nice sights, cute things and overall breaking him from the environment of harshness and fighting he was comfortable with. Taken out of his comfort zone-- Sparta lightened up a bit and had a fantastic day with Valen. From then on they've been good friends-- even though Val might still harbor a small crush.
