favorite type of parties & why?Being a native of New Orleans, Lia naturally loves Mardi Gras. What could be more amazing then that? For starters, the parties her family throws at home. Lia has a large extended family, and everyone smushes into her small home for a day or two. These huge family get togethers are almost always hosted at Lia's parent's house, probably because they live right in the center of everyone and are easy to get to. Days before Mardi Gras, Lia helps her parent bake King Cakes, Chicken-Andouille Gumbos, New Orleans Beignets (N.O style donuts), Bayou Fried Shrimp, and so many more. Going out to see the floats the night of Mardi Gras with her sister and various cousins, then coming home to a warm and love filled home. Trading goodies caught from the floats and hoping to finally get that little porcelain baby her mother uses every year, Magnolia couldn't be happier. The family has a large dinner, all crowded around the small dinner table, the kids shoving each other around and battling for food. Then, sleeping in a bed full of young Viscets cuddled up, their spikes brushing each other and soft snores. Early up in the morning for a walk along the Mississippi river.
PersonalityMagnolia is a deep thinking teen, who sometimes digs herself into a pit trying to figure things out. She wouldn't say she is the best in school, often turning things in late and/or incomplete because she spent her entire time thinking and not writing, but she likes learning. Lia is a family loving Viscet, preferring to be at home arguing with her sister then with others in her class. She has a good relationship with her parents and extended family and when adults in the family are busy or something, the kids get traded around until everyone feels like they are parent and child. Lia makes quick decisions, not thinking much about the out come until after the fact. This has resulted in a many things, among them; inguries, Lia and her sister getting trapped on a roof, losing a few kids during a game of hide and seek, a case of food poisoning (owo) and a old shed getting knocked over. Usually Lia will spend the night after beating herself up about her mistakes and what she could have done. As Lia entered her teens, she began to work at this instead of just feeling bad about it, but is still having a hard time. Getting the kids in her family is weird situations turned into problems with social interactions. While being very comfortable at home, Lia hides herself under a slightly oblivious and introverted character at school. She finds it very hard to make new friends, so used to having them picked for her and not having to work at it.
(263 words)StoryHaru stared up at Lia with her large, grayish-purple eyes. The little Viscet had known something had changed in her older sister when she started high school. Haru had known middle school was hard, but high school was devastating Lia. Haru grasped for something funny to say, but couldn't. "Mama's making the cake now...'' was all she said.
Lia forced herself to smile a bit more then she wanted too.

Outline:
Lia helps make the cake, her mind on other things. A small mistake made by her gives Haru an idea how to cheat and get her sister the baby. Time skip to Lia getting the baby, then Haru spills beans. Story shows the love between them and personality.
