She does not come across the flower often as the woods is no place for a lily. It is only when she ventures out of the trees that she finds the lily. The Kwanzaa Day Lily brings a sense of comfort to this lonely doll.

favorite plant?: the yellow water lily because of how pretty the vibrant colour of its petals are and the many uses for the whole plant.
I didn't know until human biology that you could use the leaves of the lily for staunching wounds, stopping bleeding and swelling. The seeds can be dried and ground into flour or popped like popcorn. The petals can be used for tea as well so I was very intrigued with this plant.
