The first tolter of my 'horse breeds' theme!
And of course it is, who most people would call the ancestor of all horse breeds, the Arabian!
This tolter will have a custom halter made when the winner has been chosen.

Each breed I do I will provide some basic and fun facts about the breed.
So here's some facts about the Arabian!


Good-natured - Quick to learn - Willing to please

The Arabian is known to be one of the oldest
breeds with archaeological evidence of horses
that resemble modern Arabians in the Middle East,
dating back 4,500 years. The Arabian horses have
spread all around the world by both war and trade
and has been used to improve a ton of other
breeds by adding speed, endurance, refinement
and strong bone. Today you can find Arabian
bloodlines in almost every modern breed of riding
horse.

The breed originated on the Arabian Peninsula.
It was developed in a desert climate which is why all
Arabians, no matter their coat color, have black skin.
The black skin provided protection from the intense
desert sun.

Short facts!

Coat Colors: They come in Bay, Gray, Chestnut and Black.
Black is less common.
Markings: Classic roan gene doesn't appear to exist in
Arabians. Instead, roan-like features usually come from the
rabicano gene or sometimes sabino patterns with roan features.
Distinguishing features: Finely chiseled bone structure,
concave profile, arched neck, comparatively level croup,
high-carried tail.
Height: 14.1hh - 15.1hh (57 - 61 inches, 145 - 155 cm)
Fun fact: "Some Arabians, though not all, have 5 lumbar
vertebrae instead of the usual 6, and 17 pairs of ribs
rather than 18."

Name meaning, which language: it means Beetle in Arabic
Gender: mare
Tell me about your first tolter: I actually have two 'first' Tolters. One of them is Chromia, a chestnut splash mare who I got via an FCFS, and the second is a swirl army mare named Dreamy. While Chromia is my 'official' first tolter, Dreamy is the one that brought me properly into the community. Dreamy, being the crazy somatic that she is, had people hounding me for slots, so I gave a good bit away. She also helped me start my tolter herd, since her babies were my first ever breedings. She's really the 'foundation' mare of my herd, and a good chunk of my horses are descended from her. The sad fact is I've actually never bred Chromia, but she holds enough sentimental value for me to keep loving on her. She's the thing that led to me adopting Dreamy, as after I got her I started looking through Tolters and found my chocolate swirl girl, where I then entered at pretty much the last minute. To this day I'm not sure what kind of luck found me when i got both of those horses, but I know I was introduced to a bunch of new people.

Tell me about your first tolter: My very first tolter was a lovely rose grey mare, Lilac. I'd been so desperate for a tolter, and that day soo many FCFS were released - i tried for all of them, but over and over wound up seconds too late. Finally, I was able to catch Lilac. I think it might have been that no one else wanted her, didn't see her as 'pretty enough', but to me she's absolutely gorgeous. I was just thinking about how far I've come, actually. I've nearly sixty tolters, sixty, but I still remember my humble beginnings with my little Lilac <3

Tell me about your first tolter:
Well my first tolter was Shadow. I got him through a FCFS because I was new and I was afraid to try out for an adopt, so I kept an eye out for any FCFS.
The thing that makes Shadow special is that he is a little bit of me, he is the representation of my shyness and quiet demeanor. He is a little nugget of cuteness and who could resist those big green eyes!
The thing I love about shadow is that he doesn't fight for titles, yes he was the beginner or my herd but he hates being known for it, so he tends to hang out with my other stallions who could care less about being lead stallion. He's quirky in his own special way cx
I still own him and frankly, I don't see myself getting rid of him anytime soon. He is my first baby and I love him to bits, even if I don't talk about him much.

Tell me about your first tolter: my first Toltec was a FCFS by potato, his name is Game on and he is still one of my favourites! He is described as the leader or 'boss stallion' in my stable and is mates with my second Toltec Carnival act. Game On is special those me because he has parking spot that make him look like he is grinning which makes him notoriously handsome! Game On and Carnival Act were also the first tolt des I bred to get my third Tolter; Why So Serious who has both his mummy's tear markings and his daddy's grin so I based him off of the joker from Batman. I still own all three of them.

Tell me about your first tolter: that would be Kai. a good number of my current herd members were descendants of him, such as Shady (one of the few I still own), but I recently gifted away a good number of my tolters who I didn't connect to... Including Kai. It was extremely difficult for me to give him up, and I regret it every now and again, but I gave him to a home where I'm sure he'll be loved. He know lives on gator's tolter estate, and I know he couldn't ask for a better home. And I'm so thankful for bears posted on that tolter, at teh exact moment she did. If I'd never seen her post, and won that tolter, I never would've met this community. So, even if he's not mine anymore, I will always have a special place in my heart for my first tolter; Kai.

Tell me about your first tolter: My first tolter was a black snowflake leopard mare made by Khaos0 which I won just under a year ago! She has a quiet and shy personality and I won her because Khaos thought her name and her personality fit. She is called Midnight Foxtrot and she has some beautiful foals and is now a great grandmother, I believe! I have tracked her foals and their foals and so on and her linage is so big and all the foals from her are gorgeous which include my favourite tolter, Pete. She will always be a permanent fixture in my barn and I am very fond of her.
