Paint-Tailed Pythons(PTP) are a unique breed of pythons that have paint seeping from their tail tips. PTP tend to be slightly smaller than their close cousins, ball pythons, females being around 2-3 feet long and males 1-2 feet long. Hatchlings are dramatically smaller at only 5 inches long.
Pythons tend to be quite intelligent, and PTP are no exception. PTP tend to be quite shy when first introduced to their owners, but will warm up quickly and soon become inseparable. PTP have exceptionally long lifespans, and have been known to live for upwards of 60 years.
hello! this ptp was based off of a
snowy owl, but don't be confused, there aren't any real feathers on this snake! it's all just weird markings.
For the contest, I'd love if you could write me a short story. The story can be about anything as long as this snake is in it! Length can be anywhere inbetween 50-200 words, and the story won't be judged on length as long as it's within those parameters.
To try out for this PTP, use the form below:
- Code: Select all

PTP Rarity: Rare
Short Story:
Extras(art, stories, etc) aren't allowed. Form prettying is allowed. End date is 1/13/15, but will be extended upon request.

PTP Name:
Bronze
PTP Gender:
Female
PTP Rarity:
Rare
Short Story:
A soft snowfall hit the ground, the snakes cold blood could not handle this so slithering up to her favorite rocks she bathed in the sunlight.
Small snores of her breathing were sent out leaving small foggy breaths to fill the air, she woke up to her body drenched from melted snow on the sunning rocks.
Yet not everything had well, melted. As Bronze glanced over she saw her beautiful paint stuck to the sunning rocks, snow sparkling in her paint trail.
She slithered out of the hard little shell of paint. Leaving a subtle pretty snowflake design.
Snowflakes were hardened and caught in the paint leaving off a beautiful display she'd never forget.
Giving her the feeling, that snow was her favorite hobby then painting.

PTP Name:
Kakoro
PTP Gender:
Male
PTP Rarity:
Rare
Short Story:
Kakora sat upon a rock, basking in the sunlight as the snow fell from every direction, around this snake. Nothing bothered it, not even the howling from the nearby wolves. He slithered off the rock after a while, leaving a trail of paint before falling into the snow. He slithered into a burrow that protected him from the cold, and warmed him up as he curled up and fell asleep.
He woke up a little bit after, and slithered out. Everything was slightly melting, and it was warmer than yesterday. Disappointed, he made his way over to the river that was once frozen, and was now warm water, and looked at his reflection. He saw himself covered in snow n his reflection when he actually wasn't, but dealt with it anyway. He went back on to his rock and basked in the sun, waiting for more snow to fall.
Yet it never did, so he reminded himself with four words.
'Tomorrow is another day.'

PTP Name: Ottery
PTP Gender: Male
PTP Rarity: Rare
Short Story:
When Ottery had been but a little thing – barely longer than the average spaghetti noodle – he learned how easy it was to slip away from tanks and stands that his human friends supplied him with.
The first place he’d learned was the kitchen, with its vast (for him) stores of food and entertainment. And then the living room, the bedrooms, and the bathroom. But it was a little while before he finally passed the door into the most interesting place he’d seen yet, made even more fascinating because it had been forbidden; even under supervision, he wasn’t supposed to get in.
But with the still-warm fireplace, cozy chairs, elegant wooden furnishing and piles upon piles upon shelves that lined the wall, the mantle, even the far side of the great master’s desk, it was otherworldly. It was home.
Ottery was careful to not leave a paint trail over the glossy mahogany floors as he investigated one of the smaller book piles, admiring the worn leather, even if he didn’t understand the language. The aged paper had a unique smell to it, and it added to the lingering wood smoke scent.
He could get used to that.
