Aquila is a constellation in the northern sky. Its name is Latin for 'eagle' and it represents the bird who carried Zeus/Jupiter's thunderbolts in Greco-Roman mythology.

Altair is the brightest star in this constellation and one of the closest naked-eye stars to Earth at a distance of 17 light-years. Its name comes from the Arabic phrase "al-nasr al-tair", meaning "the flying eagle".

Introverted - Intuitive - Feeling - Perceiving

INFPs never seem to lose their sense of wonder. One might say they see life through rose-colored glasses. It's as though they live at the edge of a looking-glass world where mundane objects come to life, where flora and fauna take on near-human qualities. INFPs have the ability to see good in almost anyone or anything. Even for the most unlovable the INFP is wont to have pity.

"What do you want for your birthday?"

    Image

"For my birthday? That's easy! I want my whole family to be together and eat lots of cake together! You mean an object...? Hmm... OH! Paper! I could always use some more paper! Colored paper, textured paper, sparklie paper, all kinds! Or snow globes! Or music boxes! Or feathers! LOTS of feathers!! Can I really have anything...? Then I wanna jump over the moon! Or a fancy telescope to look at the stars with! or better yet... You should just buy me NASA! All of it, but especially all the fancy telescopes and rocket ships. While you're at it, make them tell me about the aliens!"

"From the stars I can fashion,
an object holding all my passion.
Snatch a star from the sky,
hold it fast,
don't let it fly.
Weave it throughout the cloth;
Starlight is ever so soft.
Watch it ripple,
see it glow.
In this simple scarf it flows.
Wrap it 'round your neck,
and feel the warmth my starlight has brought forth.
Whether North or South,
East or West,
clutch my starlight,
let it fill your chest."

Aquila often gets lost in her daydreams of flying cranes and quiet chimes of music boxes. She has a love for the arts, along with other things of course. But above anything else, Aquila loves making paper cranes. Big ones, small ones, ones with patterns, even glow in the dark ones! Aquila will make several of them at a time and string them to make mobiles. Though they don't last as long as Aquila hopes, as she often leaves them around the house for Comet and Cyril to step on, or sometimes for Lo to snack on.She loves origami and often makes gifts for her friends and family, to which usually end up piled up in a cluttered corner along with Aquila's other 'offerings'.
Aquila is also fascinated by music boxes and snow globes, even better if the two are combined! Everywhere she goes, she tries to visit the souvenir shop in hopes of finding another snow globe to add to her 'hoard' of a collection. As kind as she is, Aquila is very protective of her cranes, snow globes and music boxes around her room.

Aquila and Comet are very close. Aquila is a bit of a daddies-girl
towards Comet, and he doesn't mind it one bit. Aquila loves
making paper cranes and small crafts for him, and he
doesn't have the heart to get rid of any of her gifts, so
they remain in a special drawer. That is until someone
comes along and mistakes them for a hoard and moves
them to the attic, in which restarts the hoarding process!

Comet, being the worrisome dad he is, is very concerned
for Aquila. He only want's the best for her, and hates to see
her cuts and scrapes from all the crafts she makes. Aquila
doesn't mind all the band-aids though, as long as they're
bright! Battle wounds, she calls them, and flaunts
around showing off the pretty band-aids her dad put on.
She always has at least two band-aids on her somewhere.

Aquila sometimes sits quietly and watches her dad as he
tries to get things done, and Aquila is always happy to jump
in and offer to help under his feet! She also wishes that
he would take her off on his wanderings and stargazing
adventures, but he is hesitant to agree to her request, as
he would be heartbroken if anything were to happen to
her under his watch.
While not being as close to Cyril as she is to
Comet, Aquila is still very close to her video
game nerd dad. Aquila herself is interested in
video games, and will often try to watch over
Cyril's shoulder when she thinks he won't notice.
He does notice, most of the time, and doesn't
mind it. Aquila has picked up on some of the
games that Cyril plays, not his actual games of
course, just the series, and is actually quite
attached to the Pokemon games, and her
favorite being the Mystery Dungeon series.

While Aquila loves venturing outside and
exploring her surroundings, she often stays
inside just to hang out with Cyril. She fully
knows that her nerdy dad will not go outside
for the life of him, and she doesn't try to get
him outside. Instead Aquila brings him gifts
from the outside- mostly 'cool looking' rocks,
leaves and flowers, and he happily accepts
them from her.

Her favorite thing about gathering flowers for
her dad is balancing them on his head when
he's in the middle of a game, Aquila giggles
when they float to the side without even the
slightest glance from her dad.

Aquila and Devastis are very close, not just in the terms of being
twins, but they're best friends. They fit together like puzzle pieces,
glued to never come apart. Maybe not that close, but may as well
be! Aquila and Devastis are always getting into trouble, be it from
staying out too late looking at the sky or accidentally misplacing
their 'adventure map' with their dads video game strategy guide!

Image
Aquila isn't too sure about her sister, but she does enjoy her
presence. Venus is usually with her mate, Warren, but when
she has some free time she doesn't mind Aquila jumping around
and sharing her crafts with her. Venus is protective over her
children, and Aquila likes to make faces at them and tease them,
much to Venus's distaste. Though she does love her sister dearly,
and Aquila loves to wrap up in a blanket and have Venus read to
her- Harry Potter is her favorite at the moment, or until Venus
introduces her to a new series!

Image
Like her relationship with Venus, Aquila isn't too sure about her older
brother. She wants to do everything she can to make him comfortable,
but Aquila hasn't had much luck so far. She wishes that she could give
him every thing the world has to offer and more, but something inside
her tells her that even that wouldn't be enough. Aquila isn't old enough
to fully understand his situation yet, but she is very careful around him
and always showers him with all the love she has in her small body.

Despite being a happy-go-lucky child, Aquila isn't too popular among her age group. She doesn't have many friends, besides her sister and the rest of her family. It's not that she's too shy to make friends, but actually quite the opposite. She comes off as loud and obnoxious most of the time, but she's just trying to share her 'knowledge' and passion of art and space to the world. This results in most plumes turning away from her, as most her age are spending their time with everything but making paper cranes and exploring night skies. Aquila doesn't mind much, she prefers listening to her own thoughts and songs over a game of tag. Don't get her wrong though, she's always up for a good game of tag, but most of the time she's too busy in her own world to notice the games around her.

Music is very important to Aquila. She is almost always seen with at least one ear bud in, and she has a very wide variety in music. She doesn't really have a favorite genre, but simply likes what she can relate to or what she could 'jam to'. Aquila loves to sing along, though her family doesn't necessarily love listening to her screeching all the time.

Not just music on the radio or on her ipod, but she particularly loves music boxes. She can't quite pin why, but the way they move so gracefully and sound as if angels themselves were playing them, she just can't get enough of them. Aquila has tried to build them before, but quickly gave up after her dad took away her sharp metal pieces to work with. So she makes do with the few she has arranged nearly on her desk.

Her room is pretty cluttered, but not in a messy way. It's more or less stacks of things 'organized' to her mindset. That being said, there are NASA posters hanging on almost every wall, and a glow-in-the dark star mobile hanging from the ceiling, along with dozens of glow-in-the-dark stars and planets taped to the ceiling. Various other 'art' materials are scattered around her room, but in an 'artistic' way, in which her fathers don't understand.

Image

"Hurry! We're gonna miss it!" Aquila hurried outside, nearly dragging her twin sister in tow. Devastis huffed and stuck out her tongue, but did increase her pace to keep up with her lighter furred sister. Not as much as Aquila wanted though, but enough. It was a cool evening, leaves just beginning to fall from their branches and scatter across the empty ground. A few crunched underfoot as the pair ran through the field, towards an unknown destination. Night was just beginning to creep across the sky, and as the moments passed the sun was slowly pulled under the horizon.

After a seemingly never ending trip, Aquila looked back at her sister and grinned before dashing to a steep hill top. Confused, Devastis hurried after her. She nearly crashed into her, but she caught herself and merely ruffled against her fur. Aquila chuckled and stretched out her sore muscles from the long run, and Devastis just rolled her eyes and shot her sister a look that could kill, "Why drag me all the way out here? There are plenty of hills closer to home, and it's almost dark. Dad doesn't like us staying out so late, you know that".

Aquila knew she was referring to Comet, their motherly and overprotective dad who wouldn't let anyone or anything harm any of his children. But Aquila just returned her sister's gaze, her expression contrasting her twins. "You'll see!" was all she said, and turned her attention towards the vast rolling field in front of them. Grumbling, Devastis sat in the cool grass and followed her sister's gaze to the sinking horizon. The sun had almost fully set by now, making room for the expanding darkness and small twinkling of stars.

Devastis's breath caught in her throat, her eyes widened at the sight. The full moon had illuminated everything it touched, and in that moment they were both sure they had never seen anything quite as beautiful than what was spread in front of them now. It was a clear night with a chilling breeze, rustling the distant tree tops and making their fur wave softly. Though neither of them noticed the wind seeping into their thin pelts, they were too busy taking in the nebula above. It almost looked unreal, like stained glass with speckles splattered across its canvas. Just then, a shooting star flashed across the sky and disappeared as quickly as it appeared. And then another one, and another. Tonight was a meteor shower, and the two sisters had the best seats in the house.

"How did you-" Devastis began, but was cut off by her sister, "Isn't it beautiful, Devastis? Oh, what mysteries the universe holds." She thought for a moment before quickly adding, "Don't tell our dads though~". Devastis could only nod, thinking about the trouble they'd be in if they were found out. They had sneaked out of their home right after dinner, Aquila seemed more excited than usual and Devastis was hesitant to follow her sister on one of her 'adventures'. Though this was well worth it, she thought.

The sparkling nebula slowly swirled in the sky, stars twinkling their distant light on them. Devastis was unable to speak for a few moments, but finally managed out a whisper, "How'd you find this place? Did you know about the meteor shower?" Aquila was hesitant to respond, as if she was deep in thought. "Dad told me about it a while ago, and I knew he wouldn't bring us here so I set off to find it myself", at this Aquila puffed out her chest and perked her ears, and Devastis couldn't help but laugh at her sister. She was right, Devastis thought, Dad would never let us adventure out, or even take us somewhere so far from home. Her sore muscles throbbed slightly as she thought about it, but she pushed the thought aside and glued her attention back to the glittering sky.

They were both living in the moment, and they felt alive. the present was indeed a gift to them. The pair lay on the hilltop for an hour or two, taking in the countless meteorites streaking through the darkness. The night seemed endless, but they hesitantly decided to head back. Of course they could have stayed out for a lot longer, but neither of them wanted to make their dads worry any more than they were at the moment. They sighed and slowly stood, the thought of their impending punishment hung heavy over them, and the mood around them seemed as dark as the sky. The two sisters slowly began their decent of the hill.

Out of nowhere, Aquila pounced on her sister's back, and Devastis let out a small yelp as she hit the cold ground. But before she could say anything, Aquila was bounding down the hill, looking over her shoulder with her tongue stuck out at her sister. Devastis grinned and took after her twin, bumping into and pushing each other home, forgetting about the punishment they were soon sure to face.

Comet and Cyril were pacing by the door, a worried look spread across both of their faces. Surely they hadn't run away, and they know better than to stay out this late. Or really leave without telling one of them where they were going. The whole night seemed to pass before the door slowly creaked open, and Comet and Cyril couldn't help but to smile at their efforts to remain undetected. Aquila and Devastis were doing their best 'ninja' technique, tiptoeing into the house and their bodies low to the floor.

Comet let out a coughed, letting them know that the pair had indeed been spotted. They stopped in their tracks, their eyes went wide and their ears flattened. But Comet wasn't having any of that, and only sternly asked, "What do you two think you were doing? You know better than to be out this late, you had us worried sick!" Comet glanced at his mate, who only shrugged in response. Turning his attention back to his daughters, Comet added, "You could have gotten lost. Or worse!"

Aquila and Devastis had no words, they could only hang their heads and mumble an occasional "sorry". After a few moments, Cyril stood and turned his gaze to his mate, "Comet," he began softly, but was cut off by the other male, "Why didn't you tell us?" Comet demanded, his soft voice rising ever slightly. "we're sorry-" Devastis began, but her sister cut her off, "I-it was my idea... You told me about the meteor shower and I wanted to see it, so I convinced her to come with me..." Aquila trailed off, tears threatening to fall from her glassy blue eyes.

Cyril stepped in at this, and looked over at Comet once again. He tried again, "You see? They didn't mean any harm. Can you really blame them?" "No... But if they had gotten hurt-" "But they didn't, they're home safe and sound." Cyril paused to glare at the twins, convincing them that he too was just as angry as his mate was. His voice lowered a little and added, "and now they know better than to do something like that again". The girls quickly nodded their heads, their tails twitching slightly.

Comet sighed and lowered his shoulders that he didn't even know were hunched. His eyes softened and he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath before reopening them. He carefully stepped over to his daughters and hugged them tight, and they hugged him just as tightly. Cyril chuckled a bit before striding over to join in the family hug, but accidentally tripped and it became a family dog pile instead. The rest of the night was spent huddled together on the couch, Aquila and Devastis telling stories about their most recent adventure, and the vast sky they had seen just hours before.

"ACHOO!" Aquila jumped at the sudden noise from her sister. Looking over, she took their current state. They were both wrapped in thick blankets in front of the fireplace. Aquila sniffed, they had gotten off easy last night, they both knew that. They welcomed a simple cold over the much worse punishment they thought they had coming to them. A cold chill went up her spine and quickly made her shake the thought from her mind. "Here I come!" A shout from the kitchen, and hurried shuffles could be heard from around the corner, and getting closer by the second.

From around the corner came Comet, carrying two large bowls of soup as best as he could, though some noodles and broth were still sloshing over the sides. Both sisters mumbled a 'thanks' before sipping their soups. Comet nuzzled their foreheads, checking for their fevers before sighing in relief. " 'Ya know girls, I thi-" "think that we're pretty lucky we got off with only a cold" the twins said together, resulting in a chuckle from their dad. The male shrugged and laid behind them before adding, "Exactly. Do tell one of us before you do something like that please? You both know very well that we worry very much about you two."

The pair had stopped slurping their soups and could only bow their heads and say nothing. They knew it was wrong, but they did it anyway. But was there any chance that they could have done that if they asked? Yeah, Aquila thought she would point that out. "W-would you have let us go out if we asked...?" Her voice came out much more shaky than she wanted it to. To her surprise, her father responded quickly. "Perhaps. I'm sure we could have worked something out, you girls aren't as young as you used to be." Comet stood up and padded slowly to the kitchen, he gave a quick smile over his shoulder at them before disappearing behind the wall.

The two were left in deep thought about their actions. They felt terrible, in more ways than one. "Yo!" They jumped at the sudden voice from behind them, and they turned to see their other dad mere inches from where they were sitting. When did he even get there? Neither of them answered him though, they just went back to sipping their soup. Cyril squeezed his way between them and asked, "What's got you two so down? A small cold has never stopped either of you" Cyril perked his ears.

Aquila and Devastis looked at each other before looking back at their dad. They both bowed their heads to nuzzle into his fur and mumbled a 'sorry'. Cyril let out a laugh and raised an eyebrow, "That's it? We already know you're sorry, girls". The twins looked up at their dads smiling face, and all their fears were seemingly gone in that instant. His smile was contagious and soon enough the three of them burst out into laughter. After their howling died down, Cyril got up and nudged them with his shoulder, "Up for a game?" the twins shot up and shouted back, "You're on!"

"What's that? Still wanna know more about me? Well... Ok, If you insist...
I'm Aquila, but I think you already know that. I go by 'Quill' as a nickname, as 'Aquila' can be a pain to sign on all my artwork! My dream is to explore the world far and wide and see all the world has to offer! ... But my dads say that I should think of something more realistic... When I'm older, that's the first thing I'm gonna do! I'll be careful, you'll see! But for now I stay at home and create art pieces that my family just can't seem to understand. "What's that?" they say, "You spattered on the canvas...?" Yes, I did spatter on the canvas, it's a beautiful night scene with stars twinkling about, just like that one night Deva and I adventured out! I usually give my art to one of my dads, or my older sister and her husband. I know they just stash it in a corner, but they don't throw it away! The fact that they keep everything I make makes me feel happy, so I keep making stuff for them! Though recently they just sigh and smile when they accept something from me... Could they be tired of my stuff...? Nah! The more the merrier!! (Comet and Cyril sigh from a distance) Anyway! Here's everything you could ever want to know about me and more!

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
"Once I made this really big paper crane! It was half as big as me! My dads weren't as thrilled as I was though... I keep it in my closet, but don't tell them that! Other than that... That one night Deva and I snuck out and got away with it!"

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
"getting the whole family together and watching the stars! Maybe we could go camping and stay up late and make s'mores! Listening to music also makes me feel really happy!"

What is your current state of mind?
"Huh? Right now? I could really go for some cereal right about now..."

What is your favorite occupation?
"Arts of course!"

What is your most treasured possession?
"I have a moonstone necklace that my dad (Comet) gave me for my birthday last year! It's a real moonstone! From the moon and everything! I know because he said it is! I wear it everywhere and I feel weird without it."

What or who is the greatest love of your life?
"Music, art and astronomy is my life, but I really love my sisters and brother and my dads. They mean everything to me! I don't think I'll ever love anything more than them! Maybe in the future I'll meet the right one..."

What is your favorite journey?
"I can't pick one! I wander a lot and have lots of special adventures and missions on my own! Like that one time I flew to the moon in my cardboard rocket ship with Neptune, or when Devastis and I said across the ocean as pirates, or...."

When and where were you the happiest?
"Listening to my favorite songs, with my family, or looking at the sky at night. Or better yet, all at once!"

What is it that you most dislike?
"Coffee! Oh my gosh I don't understand how anyone can drink that stuff! Don't tell my dads, but I snuck a cup of coffee once just to try it and I nearly gagged! I left the cup in Deva's room."

What is your greatest fear?
"Spiders! All those legs and eyes and *shivers* I don't want to think about them! I also have a fear of being left alone."

What is your greatest extravagance?
"buying too much paper! I buy all sorts of paper with my allowance, usually more than I need... They're all so pretty though! Textured paper, paper with spots and swirls and squiggles and stripes and.... this one has glitter! "

What is your greatest regret?
"I'm not sure about this one, but if I had to pick I'd say leaving too early on that night on the hilltop with Deva. Though it was probably for the best that we left when we did..."

Which talent would you most like to have?
"I wish I could play the guitar or piano! I would really love to play the songs that I listen to every day so I can sing along to them and listen to them more! I should probably learn to sing too...."

Where would you like to live?
"In Alaska! It's cold and it's dark all the time! More time to look a the stars. And the sky and scenery is beautiful!"

What is the quality you most like in a man?
"He's gotta be as swift as the coursing river, with all the force of a great typhoon, have all the strength of a raging fire, and be as mysterious as the dark side of the moon~!" (She loves Mulan)

What is the quality you most like in a woman?
"S-she's gotta love music and art! I won't go out with someone who doesn't know how to make a paper crane!"

What do you most value in your friends?
"If I had more than 1 friend... I would want them to be fun! And I would want them to be honest and trustworthy!"

Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
"*puts on a mask* I AM IRON MAN! (She really likes Iron Man and admires his snarky and stuck up nature.)"

Whose are your heroes in real life?
"Does Iron Man not count?? *huffs* well... My dads! They do so much and don't have any awards to show! I guess I can make them awards later..."

Which plume do you most admire?
"My big brother Neptune! He's so strange and I don't really understand him, but he tries so hard and I really wanna see him live out his dream of being an astronaut!"

On what occasions do you lie?
"When I know I'll be in big trouble... I don't like doing it, but I feel like it's sometimes necessary to keep my dads sane..."

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
" 'Like', 'really' and 'actually' "

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
"I would be taller! I'm short!! Not just because I'm still young, but I'm actually short for my age... *sobs* I'm gonna be small forever..."

What are your favorite names?
"I love space names! Especially Nova, Star and Moon! And Aquila of course! Though I also think that Suki is really cute for a girl."

If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
"I would wanna be an alien! .... Why? So I could be in space forever! "

What is your motto?
""Don't stop. Keep walking."

"Another story? My greatest adventure? I already said, it was that time with Deva- not that one? Then probably-"

"I'll be back later!" Aquila's voice rang in the hallway as she bolted out the door, almost running into it completely. In her mad dash out she barely heard her fathers call of, "Make sure you're back before dinner!" Today was the day she was going to catch it, she was sure of it! A sight that can only be seen once, or it disappears forever! Quill rushed across a small field, towards the dark, confined forest that she has been warned to stay away from.

The forest wasn't far from her home, only a short walk away. Most stay clear of the densely wooded paths that wind aimlessly, though others see it as a challenge to make it through the dark paths to the other side. Not very many make it to the other side, and end up getting lost along the way. Though everyone who has entered the woods have told the same tale- something is in the woods, and its very presence sends chills up their spines. A 'forest spirit' of a sort, though such stories were merely children's tales at the end of the day.

The small silver bundle raced down the narrow forest path, twigs snapping lightly underfoot. She's been down this path before, but it still gives her goosebumps. Her sister had warned her of the forest spirit that haunts anyone who enters the woods, but Aquila had no other option. To get to the Highrock, the forest path was the only safe route.

Quill thought that if she ran as fast as she could, the forest spirit wouldn't catch her. So that's just what she did, that is until she lost her footing and crashed to the ground with a yelp. "ow...." Aquila brushed off the leaves and dust covering her now dirty fur. Se tried to sit up, only to immediately fall back to the ground. She had twisted her ankle during her fall, and it was throbbing with pain. Quill clenched her teeth and frantically looked around, afraid of being found by the forest spirit.

She carefully stood up, not putting any pressure on her injured hind leg, and stumbled over to lean against a large tree. She sighed, leaning over to assess her injured leg. Luckily nothing was broken, and after poking the joint a bit it seemed to be ok. Standing up, Aquila took a few careful steps back to the path, glaring daggers at the dip that had injured her.

But upon looking around, perhaps it was a good thing that she stopped when she did. Quill was completely lost, wasn't I on the right path? But she wasn't, and she limped a little farther down the path to confirm that she really had no idea where she was. Aquila sat down and leaned back, what was she going to do now? Should I just go home now?

Aquila jumped as a twig snapped behind her. Her head whipped around and her eyes went wide, only to come face to face with- ... nothing? But it sounded like someone was just behind me...? her fur flattened as she began to take in the area a bit more. The sides of the path were decorated with brightly colored flowers that smelled exotic, and the light shone through the trees just over the horizon. It was beautiful in a way, but more than anything it reeked of mystery and danger.

No matter how hard she thought about it, it seemed strange that such beautiful flowers had grown this deep in the woods, and without much light. SNAP. Her fur stood up again and she looked around once again. But this time she saw the source of the noise. A few feet away stood another plumerian, though it was much larger than Aquila was. Was it lost as well?

She stood and walked towards the other, and upon coming closer to the other she realized that it was much older than she was. Quill spoke out, though her voice small and little more than a whisper, "h-hello... are you lost as well?" The other plumerian didn't respond, but only began to walk towards her as well.

Stepping out into the light, Aquila noticed that the larger plumerian had a very distinct pattern on its pelt. Its head was as dark as the night sky, even the white in the eyes were colored that shade of inky darkness. Its eyes seemed to glow in the shadowy woods, icy and cold, and Aquila took a small step back. The other stopped in its tracks after seeing Aquila stepping back, and sat down where it stood.

"Are you lost, young one?" Quill was surprised when it spoke, its voice was very feminine and sounded like an angel. No, like the music boxes soft chimes that she loved so much. The moment the other female spoke, Aquila knew she was safe. She wasn't sure why, she just had the feeling . Quill shuffled her paws and looked at the dark earth, "y-yeah. I thought I was on the right path but I must have taken the wrong one..." Her voice trailed off, and her whole body began to shake.

Seeing this, the older female slowly stepped forward to sit close to the other, their fur barely brushing. "There there, little one. I can help you get out if you need it?" Aquila looked up to the other female, and noticed that the plumerian wasn't just an inky black, but her fur slowly changed color to a light blue and even an icy white, star and spot markings scattered fur similar to her own, and Quill smiled.

"That would be great!" She tried to stand, but a pain shot through her once again and she stumbled, leaning against the other body. The larger female chuckled and smiled, "It seems like you're hurt?" "I lost my footing on a hole in the ground and twisted it a bit...". The dark head nodded in understanding and looked over to the path, knowing exactly where Quill was talking about. "You should be more careful, young one. Though youth doesn't last forever, so I can understand your hurry,"

The older stood up and looked down the path, though still supporting Aquila on her shoulder. "If you continue down this path, keep right and you should find your way out soon enough," Quill stood on her own now, her gaze wandered back to the beautiful flowers that had been carefully planted along the path. She couldn't help but ask about them, assuming the other female knew something about them?

Without thinking, Aquila spoke her mind, "How do these flowers grow in the middle of the woods like this? I thought-" the other plumerian cut her off, "Ah, you have much to learn. I plant them in various places and care for them. Beauty can bloom in even the darkest of places, young one." and with that, the stranger began to walk off, in the direction from which it came. Aquila, too, began to slowly continue along the forest path.

Doing just as the stranger had said, Aquila soon found herself at the edge of the forest. She had made it out! And safe! Looking around, she soon found what she was looking for. Just further down the path was the foot of a tall, rocky hill. Hurrying over to it, it looked as unstable as her sister had told her it would be. Though her sister had also dared her to climb it, so of course she had to! Taking light steps, Quill slowly made her ascend to the top.

After what seemed like an eternity, Quill pulled herself up onto the large flat rock that was the summit. Panting, she rolled onto her back and stared at the sky. It was mid day by now, the sun hung just above her and a few clouds slowly swirled across the blue sky. It looked like a painting, to be honest, but in that moment she wasn't the least bet concerned with the scenery. She had won the bet!

She couldn't wait to go home and tell Devastis about it! Though for now, she may as well take in her surroundings. Standing up again, she stood near the edge of the rock and looked out. There was a mountain range to the north, but that was for another days' adventure. She looked down, noticing just how high off the ground she was. She was far above the tree tops, and was unable to see anything through the dense leaves. Quill was hoping to see the other plumerian in the woods, but perhaps she had gone home?

Quill would have to tell her sister about the strange lady she had met in the woods as well, but after a few moments of thinking it over, perhaps she would keep that to herself. If her dads found out that she had talked to a stranger in the woods... It doesn't even sound good. What if she convinced them that it was actually the forest spirit that helped her? .... That still didn't sound good, so she decided it best to keep that part of her adventure a secret.

By now she had completely forgotten about her twisted ankle, the only pain in her body was the dull tiredness in her legs from climbing. Standing tall, Quill let the light wind softly rustle her fur as she look out over the horizon. And she thought that she could even see her house from way up there!

Though she would have loved to adventure out further, she was tired and her stomach was letting out low growls. Hesitantly, Aquila carefully climbed down the rocky hill and headed towards her home.

Walking in the door to her home, she let out a yell to her family, "I'm back!" "Oh good, you're on time today!" called her father, Comet, in which Cyril called shortly after, "And just in time for dinner!". With that, Aquila bounded into the kitchen and took her place at the table, practically wiggling with anticipation for her warm meal.

"Food!" Comet yelled down a hallway, and Devastis hurried into the kitchen shortly after. They all took their place at the table and began digging into their dinners. "So," Cyril began and looked over to Aquila, "Where did you run off to today?" Quill swallowed her food and looked up smiling, "I climbed some rocks today!" "Are you hurt? Where did you hurt yourself now?" Comet quickly questioned, but Cyril only laughed at Comet's rushed conclusions.

"So what did you really do today?" Cyril asked, to which Aquila just shrugged, "Oh, the usual," before continuing to scarf down her dinner.
