What are Ryuami's? wrote:
A Ryuami is a hybrid between a dragon and a wolf; they vary in size. They can be as small as a mouse or a bit larger then a car. They have soft wolf fur, with a patch of dragon scales on their back. They have wolf ears, the left one is pierced with feather earrings when they are born. Each earring feather is different. They have glow on their long soft tail and their legs. This glow allows them to hover, but they can't go any higher then when the tops of trees. Ryu's have long sharp claws, mainly used for hunting or defending themselves. Ryuami's lives in forests, which they protect and watch over. They are intelligent and know many languages; given to them by their dragon DNA. Ryuami's are fascinated by humans and usually choose to share their souls with one, help them get close and understand humans more. This does not mean they are bound to you, a Ryuami can not be held down, it just means they bonded with you and you share their soul. Ryuami's live for thousands of years but are not immortal, but when a Ryuami dies the last of them lives in you as long as you live and passes down through your family. Sharing a soul with a Ryuami, is an honor.
Ryuami are connected to the earth and nature, they are magical, intelligent, creatures with passions and personality's but not all Ryuami's are bright and colorful. There are Ryuami out there that hate and refuse to care, these Ryuami only care about themselves, but will share their souls with humans as dark and as wicked as them. These Ryuami have more dragon like eyes, instead of wolf like eyes. Ryuami's also come in different rarities, from common, uncommon, rare, very rare, and obber rare. They can have different horns, ears, manes, nose tendrils, and very rarely do they ever have wings, more than two horns, and more than two feathers.
These creatures are harmless to humans unless they try to harm them. Ryu's love baby's and have soft spot for them. They eat meat, but stick to deer, elk, or other wildly populated animals around them. They protect forest and fill children's dreams with wonder. Ryuami's are not real ^^

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────
The Good
-Hades is fairly self-reliant, individualistic,
and just overall an independent Ryuami.
As early as just out of his infant stage,
he has never needed much help in life.
He's always had a particularly strong
mindset, and if he ever desired anything,
he usually tried or got it himself before
looking to another person. He comes off
reserved because of this, which is true
since he prefers to keep to himself.
Yet, Hades is highly perceptive to the
emotions and actions of others,
which lends to his ability to placate a
room and put others at ease.
Hades has little to no passionate goals.
He is, however, ambitious in the sense
that he protects his own at all costs.
The Sad
-He's lonely, to sum it up, though he'd
rather be left to his own devices. Nothing
has ever been particularly stable for him,
so times of peace stresses him out when
he's left to stew. He doesn't expect much
genuine good to happen to him, so he's
oddly fatalistic and insecure in that regard.
The Hidden
-Hades secretly wishes for a good human to
share his soul with. Since his mere presence is
jarring, he only attracts the selfish and immoral
and the righteous subconsciously avoid him at
first. He wants a family to protect and dote on,
and he is surprisingly generous and affectionate,
in his own odd way. To anyone close to him, he'd
sooner give and give some more than take from
him or her. Even if he is scared of stability, he
constantly craves it.

The Bad
-Hades is, hah, not nice. Well, not genuinely.
He has to physically concentrate on being
tactful to others, otherwise his directness
shows through and he becomes blunt, harsh,
and unforgiving in his words and actions.
He can come off pretty aggressive because
he doesn't enjoy being the follower of anything
or anyone. His temperament isn't short, but his
stubbornness and sometimes impulsive nature
is difficult to deal with or placate. He's a Ryuami
of few words if you get to know him, so he'd be
quicker to kill you than to start a yelling match.
He's also somewhat bitter due to the family he
never talks to (when he thinks of them- they shun
him, but that's a different story altogether), so he's
often too serious and stiff, so it takes him a while
to relax on his own without a catalyst.
The Ugly
-He uses his ability to perceive others acutely for nefarious
purposes. Time and time again, he fakely offers to
share his souls with weak-minded and selfish/evil
humans but screws over each one. To this day,
he's never bound his soul to a human. He lures in
the same types if they have something to offer him
(mineral wealth, life essence, money, etc.) and
then casts them off once they become useless. He
continues to become more powerful magically each
time he does this, but the cost to himself is great.
He turns further and further away from the light
each time he does this. He's also fairly rich because
of the money he leeches off these people.
And The Odd
-Hades loves shiny and pretty things like precious
minerals and rocks. Money he honestly cares little
for, but like a dragon, he's likely to hoard precious
stones because he thinks it looks pretty.
-Black cows are sacred to him so he doesn't eat beef.
He nursed from a black cow when very little that
decided to let him nurse along with her own baby
since Hade's real mother left him to die multiple
times. His real mother thought he was a bad omen.
His whole family did.
-He also loves the beach at night, peppermint tea,
and narcissus flowers.

Hobby
Card Manipulator || Practitioner in the Art of Suggestion || Swindler || Environmentalist
-He runs a magic shop around humans!
Hades isn't a fortune teller per-say, but he
does use playing cards to do pseudo-magic
tricks for people who enjoy illusions. It does
bring in revenue, after all. He also uses his
special type of tarot cards, but for those he
actually uses his own spiritual magic. He can't
truthfully predict anyone's future, but what he
does instead is he channels his magic into his
cards and performs a sort of indirect influence.
-He "predicts" an outcome for a person, and once
they touch a tarot card, his energy is transferred
onto them. Then, that person leaves and whenever
he or she comes into contact with others, Hades'
magic subtly influences those people to create
that "predicted" scenario. Each time he does this,
his energy transfers back to himself tenfold because
of the life essence that his magic leeches off from
the multiple people that one person came into
contact with.

-Coupled with the process that he goes through
with his "fortune telling" and his ability to perceive
others and their emotions, He also uses the art of
suggestion to swindle others in any way he can.
It's to be expected that when you enter his shop,
your pockets and bank account will come out
significantly lighter. And you'll find yourself
in debt to him as well, for some reason or another.
-He also advocates for the environment,
would you believe. All that money he swindles
goes into protecting the environment, planting
new forests, and reintroducing species. He's
actually a ghost funder for some of the largest
projects around the world, and sometimes even
uses his magic of influence to prevent other projects
that would be detrimental to the environment.
-His bandanna is made of pure cotton and silk. (silk on the
inside, and not visible when he wears it) Doesn't
make much of a difference, but he doesn't wear polyester
'cause they make it from petroleum. It's... very picky
of him, surprisingly.

His Forest
-When he's not running his shop in the human realm, he guards over a sort of enchanted dark forest with a huge live-oak type tree in the middle of it all. All who reside in the forest are under his strict protection, but he isn't hesitant to kill those with evil intentions specific to his forest.-Peppermint, pomegranate, and daffodils grow naturally in his forest, as well as poisonous stuff like foxglove, aconite, foxfire fungi, and mistletoe. Ponds and streams run through his forest and the bodies of water contain freshwater jellyfish.
-Eating from the pomegranate trees (the seeds specifically) traps a person/Ryuami in his forest until he gives his spoken permission that he or she can leave. If he actually gives you a pomegranate and you eat the seeds, it means you have full access to his territory. He's never done this for anyone.
-Melanistic deer are common in his forest, as well as red-winged blackbirds and lark buntings. He has good relations with both types of birds, and the males act as his eyes in the skies. The females of both species tend to be a bit more ground-dwelling and hang out in lower branches because of the scarcity of predators. He sometimes uses his horns to help them build their nests. Predators bigger than squirrels don't actually reside in his forest because he chases them off or kills them. His feathers are seasonal gifts from the male larks, but the blackbirds don't like to share their feathers. The telltale flash of their bright shoulders warns of Hades' coming.
