Hello, it's Captain Chomp here and I am currently the owner of one Plumerian, but
am working hard for a second one which I hope will be this guy. My form is
mostly centered around writing as I couldn't find people willing to do art for prices
I could afford, but I do have some pieces. Enjoy, I had a ton of fun developing what I have
here and want to do so much more.

Randall appears to be quite the optimistic Plumerian and in such a way he actually is, but that's because he can't really find a good way for him to express his emotions and that skill tends to be on the low side of things while being the perfectionist he is will commonly lead him into a spiral mess of imperfections. Right now we'll focus on the upper side of things, he's seemingly always has a smile on his face with a little life in each step he takes, embracing his disabilities like there was nothing wrong with him in the first place. Even the hard things in life tend to give him a little knock down, though most barely notice, at least so in his later years. Time itself can change someone and how they act. That would be the case with Randall. For most of his life up until late-high school he was easily detected as being upset or angry with himself or the ones around him, but lack of decent communication skills made it difficult to get the whole story of things, looking back Randall is seen as a somewhat childish male. Looking for the fun in what goes on in the world around him, but everything is slow. Rushing is by a long stretch not his style, nor is just laying down and waving a white flag. Giving up has gotten him nowhere in life and it's no doubt he's taken a notice to that.

When it comes to being alone Randall can't stand it, always being a deep, nagging fear inside him is that thought of just being alone no matter what he does. It's driven him to earn the trait of clingy, yet not in the same sense most would think. He can be perfectly fine sitting alone with no one that close, so long as there's just a presence there like a friend doing something in the other room.

History;
General overview
Randall grew up in a simple home with not much going for him. His family wasn’t always able to have money for extra things and it always was the bare necessities in the family of six, which consisted of his father, his girlfriend, baby sister, and two older brothers, and himself. His biological mother wasn’t in his life, for what reasons Randall never would find out. His life isn’t a pity party and isn’t as bad as it could be. Family dinners consisted of cheap, home cooked and rather healthy ingredients and they always spent Thursday nights watching old western shows in the living room while Fridays was their special, night out. They’d go do anything they could afford or usually it just consisted of trips to the beach, a park, or most other outdoor/free activates. The only thing was since birth it had been determined Randall Darwin, was deaf and therefore mute as well. The obstacles thrown at Randall were tedious and never ending and gave a large impact in the way Randall would develop over time and how he’d grow to embrace it.

Childhood 5-9 years old
This was the time Randall would truly face the true beginning of his genetic obstacles, at age five he was ready to start kindergarten a stressful time for the young boy as he’d be away from his family and in with strange kids and a teacher, and a translator that would help him communicate with everyone. He had one advantage going for him, he was already used to having to write, knowing the ABCs, being able to communicate in poorly structured sentences and phrases, but it was time to learn ASL, something he’d never be good at no matter how hard he tried. Making friends was hard, most of the kids would easily grow frustrated when Randall would not answer them or even seem to notice them when they spoke, but there was always those few kids that could just sit with him and try to communicate in hand movements or poorly written scribbles they called writing. Randall appreciated the kind kids, though he’d become a bit closed in on himself and allow those frail relationships to rust and chip away and he’d end up right back where he started.

Approaching the age of nine, Randall and his family saw a break from years of living off the little income they made. His father got a promotion, his eldest brother got a job, and money was coming in with extra to spare. From their small home they moved down to Florida for his dad’s promotion and life seemed to give them a break for the better.

Teenage years 14-18
The time of wonderful high-school. You know that time in life that people say are the best years of your life? That’s not how Randall saw them at all, his physical hurdles didn’t help him fit in with most and the four years would be one of the worst times in his life. His communication skills had truly excelled in the subjects of writing and art, while sign language got a sliver better, but things would easily be miscommunicated by Randall to his translator and those would be even more lost when communicated to the primary receiver, this resulted in misunderstandings and fights that didn’t exactly help the already sarcastic teen. It was around sophomore year that the sheltered life came to a new chapter. Randall got himself a date, nothing ground breaking, but for a kid like Randall it was something new to him. All had been going well for a few months between the two before the wires connecting Randall to society had been clipped. His family’s good luck ran dry, living on the bare minimal was the quote of the Darwin family. The boy cut all ties off in the relationship and retreating to his sheltered life. If it wasn’t for this dark time though in his life, Randall wouldn’t be certain if he would have ever found his escape to the blank canvas, ready to be used. With his father’s job laying him off they lived off unemployment and his eldest brother’s pay Randall kept tucked behind the door to his room. His pent of emotions and stress were poured onto the pages of sketch book pages, characters free of disabilities that kept them grounded, racing to the rescue. This darkness brought a new light to his life there, holding his hand and leading him to make the best of his family’s misfortunes, helping him to reconnect with his family.

Young Adult years 19-26
He took off for college soon after graduating, set out to become a marine biologist and a new outside casing of happiness, though after “easily” discovering that after three years of college, he wasn’t cut out to be a marine biologist so he dropped out. In the decently sized town Randall now called home, he took up becoming a graphic novel creator, spending countless hours in the local library and up until the unruly hours of the night to work his heart out. At the time, only months after having moved there he took a job at the aquatic store which specialized in a gargantuan variety of fish types from fresh to salt water and other water living animals. It wasn’t until he was twenty-one years old the young adult now was feel lonely, but romantic relationships were out of the question, he wasn’t ready to focus on that yet, but a pet was the perfect remedy. Having the perks of working at the aquatics shop for three years he already had a ruby red crown tail beta fish named Stanza, but a fish as wonderful as Randall thought where just wasn’t enough to fill the lonely hole growing inside him. He did countless amounts of time researching and surfing the web for the perfect companion. It took longer than he had planned and just when his hope was dimming of finding the right one for him, the local shelter had received an older two-face calico cat by the name of Sally. Two weeks later he brought Sally home with him and her name became Captain Sally Cat Commander. She's been his constant companion whenever he's working on his next book idea and sharing the happy times with him to the current date.

but he still does it for a special treat sometimes.

Best Memory;
It was when Randall was only sixteen years old that he experienced the best memory to his date for him was when with some saved up money for a birthday gift his family took him on a trip. They drove to Orlando, Florida and surprised the growing male with a visit to Sea World to see their Orcas, something that he’d always wished to see. Having been his favorite animal since he’d gotten a book on animals on his 6th birthday and then only strengthened when on his 10th birthday he got a huge Orca plush. He’d been watching the show when the birthday surprise only got better when he was able to go meet one of them. Until something tops that day, he’s not going to be forgetting it anytime soon, it even inspired him to write two ideas for a graphic novel series.



Education;
Graduated from high-school, took three years of college to be a marine biologist, and dropped out to follow something else he was better at, thinking about going back.

Career;
Graphic Novel writer/creator/artist [It’s his escape to create the person he wants to be, to tell his story without anyone knowing. He goes by the pen name, Walsden Rag, but why did he choose this career out of everything he could've been? It’s an escape to a different universe where his story can be shared without people knowing or writing and creating a character that isn’t flawed, yet is made a hero or even a villain by what they must live with. Also writes smaller things to try and help others understand and cope with disabilities or tough times.

Part-time Job;
Yes, on top of his bust career, Randall works a part time job at a local aquatics store since his full time job doesn't always bring in enough money to live off of.

Other Things;
While not busy, Randall is taking a speech therapy class to help him learn to speak even if it could just be a simple hello to people that sounds even more broken than a thin mirror dropped on cement from sixty stories up. Even though he doesn't like having to go there, he'll continue to go until he achieves that big milestone in his life.



Jex [Owned by Orange Juice];

"Jex's relationship with Randall]Jex really loves having Randall as a friend. Even though he can’t express emotions as well because of his disability, he can be very fun to hang around with. Jex prefers when they can hang out in the library he works out because it’s a quiet environment for the two where Jex can understand what Randall is trying to say better.
Even though they get along so well, they do have their awkward moments where there is a sudden silence which they don’t know how to end. Ending up stumbling on his own words, Jex will flush bright red and look in the opposite direction, only daring to make eye contact with Randall is he is confident enough.
When bored, Jex will often suggest playing a game of charades, which can be quite interesting when Randall is acting out the phrase or scene! He will blurt out the first thing that comes to his mind which can be completely ridiculous at times which leads to them either snickering or even crying with laughter.

Jex is someone Randall adores hanging around and makes sure the other Plumerian knows it, not wishing to accidentally let him slip away and lose yet another friend. The charades are something he'll cherish in his memories for as long as he can since it's a game Randall is a bit decent at winning.


Human Appearance;
Randall stands at a height of 5’7” with a warm brown skin tone, freckles dot his face, upper back and shoulders while he has wavy almost curled chocolate brown hair and can often be found to be wearing tan/khaki jeans with a simple cotton long sleeved shirt or a short sleeve with usually a character or saying on them and for shoes a dark purple pair of converse. He’s got a few faded scars on his knees and elbows. An interesting birthmark he has is a small shape resembling a star a bit above his left ear. Has a tattoo of a small group of stars on his right wrist

An Interesting Tidbit;
Randall is the type of guy who’ll randomly stop in about anything he’s doing to just sketch something into this character concept book. Despite even himself putting book on the front of it, Randall refers to it as a journal. Besides that little factoid, whatever he sketches on the unused page could be as simple as a generic item with a couple words and he can sketch up a character with ideas surrounding the sketch in the free, white spaces once he’s been given some spare time to further the idea. Over the time since he really got into graphic novel creation and character concepts he has filled over ten medium to large sketchbook journals with these character ideas, though most will often collect dust from never having been needed. To Randall, each book he adorn with Volume, followed by the number it is which started when he’d been taught series of books were not simply just called a series, which he learned from his older brothers. From the small, simple sketches he makes up, Randall can jog his memories and be able to make the character he had thought of at the time, even if the sketch has absolutely no relation to the idea.

End Note; First off I would like to say, thank you for reading through my form and creating such a heart string pulling design. I would like to include why I would like to own this Plumerian and why I think I would be a great home for this one. On October 17th, 2015 I lost my mother to stage four lung cancer, and my dad and I have been having some really rough times. I remember having some great times with my mother and it really hurts to not have her with me, because I know she'd be proud of how I'm doing. Seeing this design made me remember some of these things when I really needed them the most simply because I owe my love of mint chocolate chip ice cream to my mother. It was her favorite and I had asked her if I could try a bite. It was on a day we went out for ice cream a few years back. I have fallen in love with the feeling seeing this Plumerian brings me and the character I have created. I'd love to be able to call it my own so I can always have that pick-me up when I need it.

As for why I would make a great owner is I wouldn't just throw this Plumerian out there for relationships to get babies, or let him collect dust. I'd spoil him in writing, art, develop him even more as the time goes shaping him more and more. I want to make new friends and make a character I can always cherish no matter what.
