His First Snow:
It was the coldest winter, well, maybe, but for this tiny colt, it would probably be remembered as the warmest, only because, as he got older, he moved to Alaska, then Iceland, and Greenland for farming purposes. But his first snow was very strange indeed, It began to shimmer of rain slightly in the afternoon, before leaps of wind, almost like reindeer themselves bounded over the thick forested land, and in result, ice sprung from the last beats of the winds hooves.
Of course, Vixen was out, bounding around the pasture with a few of his playmates, Dasher and Prancer for instance. They galloped, nicking each other and pulling tails and ears, until their mothers had enough. Vixen however, didn't see any fun in grazing, so He began to canter in his smooth gait, bucking and rearing all the way down till the cold, harsh wind picked up. he swore he could hear the thumps, the bells, everything, till the wind passed and he slid on the ice that had awakened from the sudden blast of chilliness.
He slowly looked up, reaching his small head to the big sky and he stumbled to get his long dwindling legs. it took him lots of effort, but he was rewarded with a small nudge from his mother. As soon as he got up, and standing by his mother, looked in the air. What was that?! It startled him and he tried to hide from it and ran behind his mother, slipping again, and ended up on the ground, his legs splayed. His mother had an amused eye one him as the white flurries slowly drifted through the foggy morning winter air.
Vixen starred at it for a long time before sticking out his tongue and letting it touch his tongue. it was cold and wet and he shook his head but it had a nice frosty feel to it. His mother helped him get to his small dainty hooves and he began to race around as the snow got heavier and before you knew it, a good 5 inches laid over the ground. Vixen was having fun bucking and trotting, throwing up lumps of snow into the other foals faces. And that is how Vixens first snow went;happy and cheerful after his small fright.
