LOC ANNIVERSARY EVENT - Mysterious Stranger CLOSED

Postby starry--knight » Fri Dec 25, 2015 3:06 pm

Unlike the other cubs...who's frail bodies crashed against the prides shores, this Lion was born somewhere else. Somewhere...Darker.
He was born a man, not a boy in the reaches of the unknown lands. Spat out from the muck and the filth that tainted the streams of the Lake of Eternity. And, instead of a warm gathering and a comfy place to rest his head, he came face to face with what could only be the epitome of Hell.

Dark and shifting figures, a handful at that stood over top the newcomer, red eyes gleaming. And as the male struggled to pull his body from the muck and filth, these lions plotted. They quickly took advantage of his weakness....and dragged his limp self into a dark cave.......

This was the lion who appeared during the time of Giddeon. The lion he spotted as a cub.....but who himself was born again into what could only be described as a nightmare.

WINNER FOR THIS LOC IS.........
Charboo <3 Congrats!

All thoughts and final judging's to be added tomorrow~

Since I didn't win him XD, Ill code this so the page isn't so long.

Code: Select all
They say that Life is "precious" that everyone only has "Once" to do their tasks and set upon world with their paws. From birth, to death, they fight for their claim and name to be remembered. Its easy to assume that its so simple, so, basic. So basic is what everyone sets their eyes on, sets their paws to follow their destined track in life. They're wrong, for I have seen far more." ~ Odysseus

Odysseus(Ὀδυσσεύς)
Name Pronunciation:
o-DIS-ee-ehs (English)
Behind the name:
Greek myth name of the central character in Homer's Odyssey, and a major character in the Iliad, best remembered for his ten-year return home from the Trojan War, probably derived from the Greek verb odyssao/odyssomai, meaning "to be angry, to hate," in reference to his hatred of the Gods who caused all the misfortunes of his long journey home.

Gender:
Male - How can I be anything else. Its not like
one can change who they are. You have to be
stupid to think you can be who you are not.

Sexual Orientation:
You have to be kidding me? asking me such a
question of COURSE I'm straight, just the thought
of a male even touching me in another way
other then a fight gives me the chills.

Body Size
Odysseus is quite thin and sleek, not bearing
much muscle mass in his body to call himself
strong. He still is able to throw a hefty clawed
punch. Because of this he relies on speed
more then anything, beings swift in his kills.

Height:
Odysseus stands about 10 feet tall, from the foot to
tip of ears. His size though is a bit of a
hindrance to his task that he has set forth.

Length:
From head to tail tip he sits at around 20
feet in length. His tail about half of the
length alone. His length without his tail
is around 10 feet.

Fur Thickness:
Real slick and thin. His fur if compared to a
real world animal is very similar to that of an
otter. Water slides off his sides with little to no
hindrance and he rarely stays wet for more then
twenty or so minutes.

Element(s):

While everything has its strengths, there also must be a weakness to exploit. Odysseus's magic has that.  Being both extremely powerful, but this power being degrading on his own thin body. Over use of any of his powers can cause the magic to backlash at him, creeping into his body, and could potentially kill him. Though, it wasn't always this way.

Darkness -
The partial or total absence of light.
Wickedness or evil.

Smog - A massive enveloping cloud of
shadows seeps from the ground, crawling,
worming its way to its victim, crawls its way
down its victims trachea drowning them in a
choking fog, and eventually death.

Shadow Bending - Bending the shadows
of the area around him, Odysseus can hide in
plain sight. Shadows have to be present though,
otherwise this ability won't work. However, there
are always shadows,as long as there is light.

Shadow Jumping - The ability to pass
through one shadow, and come out of another.
However, to use this power, Odysseus must
be able to see the other shadow, and cant
randomly appear out of any. In addition the
area around the exit shadow must be clear
enough so that his entire body can fit within
the exit point..

Death -
The action or fact of dying or being killed;
the permanent ending of processes in a
cell or tissue. The end of the life of a person
or organism.
Decay - Life around him starts to die,
starting at his paws, then eventually his target.
It slowly engulfs his victim, it starts at their
paws, turning the victim grey, their fur begins
to fall out, their eyes droop, and their legs weaken.
Once completely grey, the LOC will just keel
over dead.

Deaths touch - Just as the name suggests,
he has the ability to kill one by touching them,
his magic flowing through their body, reaching
for their heart, and eventually stopping it.
However he prefers killing without the use of
magic.

Rot - This attack is specific to rotting
away the flesh of his opponent. It starts at the
strike point, slowly killing the cells within the
skin, leaving the skin to slowly peel off. However,
this attack does NOT effect the muscle tissue,
or bones near the area of attack.

Personality:

Every being can be defined by their core personality traits. positive, negative and neutral emotions and traits define who we are. One who is without them, is empty, soulless, forever lost to be nothing within the expanse of the world we all live in. Though not all are good, not all are bad. Some, are even both if taken in the right way. This, is who I am, who I will be till the end of time. ~ Odysseus

Positive Traits
• Brave •  Determined • Tactful • Patient • Trustworthy •
Neutral Traits
• Lost • Confused • Outspoken •
Negative Traits
• Angry • Resentful • Callous • Abrasive •
Brave - possessing or exhibiting courage or courageous endurance. making a fine appearance. Archaic. excellent; fine; admirable.
To achieve what one wants, especially Odysseus, you would need courage and endurance to bear with it. Odysseus stands in the face of danger every day. Whether it be a simple fight, or against a hoard of warriors defending cub. He is determined to face it with his tail held high and his lips curled back in a roar. He will never back down, never intentionally. He pushes his limits ever day facing more and more dangers in a push to achieve his one and only goal in life.
Determined - resolute; staunch, decided; settled; resolved. having made a firm decision and being resolved not to change it.
Left at his own means, Odysseus is determined to complete what he set his paws out for. Along with being brave, he could be seen as a one target one goal type of Lion. Nothing will stand between him and the death of the cubs who betrayed him, left him to die. He constantly pushes towards his goal, bring others in to assist him in the task. He will not fail, or so he believes.
Tactful - a keen sense of what to say or do to avoid giving offense; skill in dealing with difficult or delicate situations.
All he has is himself most of the time, so Odysseus improvises. He convinces others to give him information, sways them to allow him past of even manages to slip a few kind words in his speech to get his way. If he is found out though, he quickly is able to catch his ground and counter their accusations with positive words, calming them and eventually leaving them to their own means. However, he never lies, everything he speaks of is true in his eyes.
Patient - able to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.
Slow and steady wins the race as they always say. Odysseus knows he has time to complete his task, and he gets all the information he needs before finally taking act. Waiting is hard for anyone who is determined to complete their work, but in turn it also makes that determination drive one to gain more information to actually complete their task. Odysseus manages carefully. Setting his paws only on a path when he is quite ready to face what is ahead.
Trustworthy - able to be relied on as honest or truthful.
Left and forgotten, Odysseus refuses to betray those around him. He has one to many times felt what it was like, that hot fiery feeling deep in ones chest. So in turn, he's more trustworthy then even the most loyal of lions within the kingdom. He will not lie, in fact sometimes this even gets him in trouble. However, one has to know him well to gain his trust, too many have broken it.

Lost - Confused, bewildered, or helpless.  Unable to be found or recovered.  Unable to find one's way or ascertain one's whereabouts.
Odysseus feels out of place, like his paws should not be walking upon the soil of the land where mortals tread. He remembers his last death, as well as slight shadows a death before his past life. The constant confusion of the double memories leaving him feeling as though he's lost and without a place or peace.
Confused - Unable to think clearly; bewildered, showing bewilderment, or not in possession of all one's mental faculties.
Odysseus is overwhelmed by his confusion of his world. He doesn't understand why he's back, why he was able to return once more into the world of flesh and blood. This confusion sometimes overwhelms him sending him into a blind rage, attacking anything he sees. Once he calms, he enters a state of denial in regards to any actions he may have done or committed in his rage
Outspoken - frank in stating one's opinions, especially if they are critical or controversial.
There are many who are against what Odysseus has set his paws forth in. He cares not, he lets any know what he is set on. He speaks his own mind, and no one else's. He wont let others break what he believes in. Those that try quickly find themselves on the other end of either his tail blade, or his claws.

Angry - Feeling or expressing annoyance, animosity, or resentment; enraged.
Odysseus is strongly powered by his anger at the world and the LOC that reside within it. His confusing phantom memories drive this anger, because he just doesn't understand "why." He in turn is angry that he himself is even back in the world, mentally thinking why? What did I do wrong? Why am I back?
Resentful - Feeling or expressing bitterness or indignation at having been treated unfairly or showing a feeling of anger or displeasure about someone or something unfair. Caused or marked by resentment.
One would have to be resentful of the world if they themselves were thrown back into it with no explanation. Odysseus constantly is in search of "why," but resents the flesh he bears, or the flesh many call his own. He shouldn't have it, shouldn't be back in this delicate world.
Callous - Showing or having an insensitive and cruel disregard for others, being hardened and thickened, feeling or showing no sympathy for others, hard-hearted.
The hardships of the world and the shadow memories of his previous life have left Odysseus callous. He feels no emotions such as compassion, love, sadness. he feels they will only pull him away from his task in this life. And in his mind, the cubs are his task, to take their lives. One can not show feelings of regret with this task set at paw.
Abrasive - showing little concern for the feelings of others; harsh., causing irritation
Quite often Odysseus will cause another disdain, pain, or even cause them to suffer from his actions. He kills any who stand in his way, usually in a horrific manner. Once the act is complete, he just leaves, no explanation, no emotion towards his act. He only has one mind, and its to kill those he feels betrayed him.

Relationships/Acquaintances:
Odysseus himself has no "relationships" as many see, rather he has acquaintances that he can refer back to when asked questions of those he knows. However, he cares not for any of these Lions. His only goal, and he will complete it, is to dispose of the cubs who betrayed him. How he will do it, no one really knows.

Giddeon - The o so valiant warrior who brought peace into the LOC world. Odysseus is conflicted mentally in his view of this Lion. He wants to respect the grandeur of the actions in which this lion had to take to achieve the peace that now overshadows the realm of LOC. He felt Giddeon was a father figure to him, that the only reason he lived was Giddeon. However, it was these actions of peace that brought Odysseus's death. He can only question what he would feel now, since everything left is so confusing.

The story of how we met is a simple one, however I can only personally remember, shadows of it. I was young then, fresh from the water with fiery light in my eyes. Before me stood Giddeon, the legend himself. A massive warrior in size, I was scared at first, but I would not be fazed. I spat at him as he neared me, his fangs closing around my neck. I was done for, I thought for sure. But, that was not what this brute was doing. He lifted me from the waters that lapped at my tail, and carried me away from the cold within it. I watched in fear as observed the world, amazed by its massive size and elegance. I was carried for some time, the hot breath of Giddeon flowing over my fur. I remained quiet, watching everything around me with amazed eyes. How could a world be so big? was it like the water? so many questions came over my mind. I was dropped at the side of a lioness, her eyes obviously doubtful as she looked me over. But Giddeon spoke, his voice strong, filled with wisdom. "This one is born from the lake, he will need a mothers care. ". She looked me over, then nodded. I was pawed by Giddeon towards her belly, I squeaked as this occurred. This wasn't the last time me and Giddeon spoke though. We met many times, grew to be friends, perhaps I even felt he was like a father to me. However much is forgotten, It is.. hard to remember anything through the webs that protect me from harm.

Hyperion - Hyperion intrigues Odysseus, the massive brute seeming to hold the strength to obtain what he seeks. Yet, it always seems to fall short of the males grasp. However, Since Hyperion is so focused on the obtaining of leadership, Odysseus has grown a distaste for him. Preferring to not be anywhere near him if politics are involved. No one lion should rule, rather, a council of lions all equal in rank is what Odysseus feels is ideal.

It was a quiet day, one could say. That is if one hadn't just ripped themselves free of the caustic tar that plagues the world in which we lions call home. I was wandering along the streams after having killed the dark lion, his blood still on my paws. This, is when I first met Hyperion. His massive size caught me by surprise as he growled from the shadows. He came at me, snapping his teeth inches from my neck. However I stood my ground, not even flinching as I looked at him. My face was as calm as it was before he arrived. Finally I spoke, breaking the silent stare we had between each other "I'm sure if you had meant to kill me, you would have already." He chuckled, obviously accepting that I was not an enemy at this time. We spoke for some time, answering each others questions before parting ways. Occasionally I still bump into this brute, his massive size still a little overwhelming, perhaps its just the wings. However I still don't like his goal he has set his paws to. The kingdom should not be ruled by one lion, one lion is too weak to hold the balance of time in his paws.

Kilan - Odysseus despises this being, just as much as he despises everyone else. However, he finds the powers Kilan possesses could be useful. Perhaps with time he could sway this gatherer of items to his side, and turn the tides on the current king. But for now, Odysseus keeps his distance, careful not to end up on the wrong side of Kilan's bull like horns.

The border of the boneyard is where I first encountered Kilan. His massive size cast a shadow upon everything he walked past. I was curious, so I met him. I regret that now however. When we met, at first there was no hostility. As we spoke though, Kilan's face started to scrunch back into a snarl. Finally, he came at me. His massive paw slamming down in the soil where I had just been. I snapped at him, but found just how powerful this brute truly was. My fangs didn't even make contact, in fact my face came in contact with a hard invisible wall. For his size, Kilan knew how to move, his body twisting and his horn hooking under my chest. Of course my eyes few wide as he rose off his paws and sent me flying though the air with one large thrust of his head. I landed hard, clattering beneath a old bone pile of a large creature. I knew not what it was, didn't care, there was a fight to be had. I went to break free of the bones, but soon found my tail was lodged deeply in the pile. It took me quite some time to break myself free. When I finally did, Kilan was gone. I only found out later who he was, his power, his might. Useless in one who is so focused on frivolous things. Maybe he will sway, but it would take quite some time.

Diana - Odysseus doesn't despise this lioness, but rather is curious of her past. In his life he has never known one born outside of the peace brought by Giddeon. However, he finds she is too dependent on her brother, a similar lion like her. He wonders what she would be capable of if she didn't have her brother weighing her down.

I first met Dianna not far from a totem of Kilan's making. Crafty really, how the sticks, stones, hide, string and taxon horns all worked together to mark the border of the outlands. However it wasn't about to deter me from entering. It was a thunder filled night, I was determined to find those cubs. I knew they were located in the pride lands, and I was going to feel their blood between my toes. The thunder above clasped as I stepped my paw into the lands most outlanders didn't even dare tread. I was soon met by a lioness. She roared, blocking my path, demanding my name. I growled, a little surprised to see a border guard. But, I obliged, speaking my name, and of course giving a reasonable reason of why I was there. She questioned me, her ears back the entire time. However, instead of chasing me off she turned me away, using her body to slowly push me away from the pride lands. It had been a long time since I had felt another's fur by my side, it was.. different. It was as though she knew I had ill intent for one within the lands she was protecting. However, I didn't fight her, sensing that she wasn't alone. I was right, for after I was away, I noticed another, similar to her walk by her side. I growled, ears back, was this jealousy? HA I cant feel that! I turned my back to this and walked away. Though, I sometimes return to that spot and wait by the border, unsure why I do, its not like she will come... will she?

Likes
1. The taste of blood
Odysseus savors the taste of his kills. Constantly
licking his lips to draw as much blood into his
mouth as possible. In addition he likes organs
with the most blood within them.
2. Death
He likes death, its a necessary part of the cycle
of the world. Without it, the world would become
too populated and eventually die from the sheer
mass of the population.
3. Precision
When it comes down to making a kill, Odysseus
is keep that precision is the key to being
successful. One quick slice to a vital artery
is the end of any creature whether cub, or adult
4. Darkness
He prefers the darkness, its shadows making
his powers stronger. He is most often seen
in the shadows of the darkness plotting
his methods in which he will enact his
revenge on those who betrayed him
5. Strength
Though Odysseus lacks it, he enjoys
the idea of being able to strike once
and end it all. He wishes he had it
but it something he was born without
from day one.
6. Watching others
Watching others helps one learn.
without it, one is reckless to continue
on a path that has steep edges.
Odysseus watches those around him to
learn quickly where, and what his targets
might be. one could say hes an assassin.

Dislikes
1. Betrayal
Betrayed more then once, Odysseus
absolutely despises those who would
betray another for self gain, or personal
reason.
2. The Unknown
The unknown, board in its meaning. He
doesn't like not knowing, the lack of
knowledge leaving him even know lost
in a world he finds confusing and chaotic.
3. Tar
Thick, pulling, drawing you down into its
depths. Odysseus refuses to like this thick
stuff like many within the out lands have
come to reason its existence.
4. Lake of Eternity
A magical end for the life of any lion who
treads within its waves. Odysseus was born
from it once. He remembers that, but not
the life he lived after. He doesn't fear it like
he should, instead just dislikes the idea that
such a body of water exists.
5. Death
As much as he likes it, he fears his own.
Hes died once before, twice, though he cant
remember his first death. He doesn't wish
to feel its cold embrace again. Instead
he would much rather inflict it on others
in an attempt to prolong his own.
6. Being Lost
The absolute sense of lack of direction
He doesn't want to be lost, he wants to remain
focused on his path he set forth. If he wavers
from it, he fears he will lose himself
to the sense of being wrong.

A Story, from our eyes you see
Strong, yet forgotten
But a story of the olden times
Not all have forgot
A tale of one that remembers
But not the same as he once was
Long long ago, when the planet first began. When the first civil war broke out, things were far from peaceful. The sky grew sour and spilled with yellow and blackened clouds. The lands groaned and the grasses were swept into nothing more than ashes. Even the Sea of Eternity had lost its glorious starry glimmer and faded into a blackened muddy pool. For over 300 years this civil war took place, on the side of bad stood Kilo, leading the rebellious ones, on the side of good stood Giddeon, leading the traditionalists. With his final strike, Kilo was killed and peace reigned within the lands for the first time. Not long after Giddeon's victory, a ceremony was held in his honor and in the honor of peace.

Text above created by Starry for the Games of Giddeon from v4, Credit to her, with little mods by me.

During those dark times, the one shining light that remained was the lake of eternity. Its glorious starry covered surface gleaming into the darkened night sky. Though the war had come to an end with the death of Kilo, but the damage caused by it remained. Giddeon stood before its shores, his eyes looking upon the starry surface, watching as it lapped at its shores. As he sat, the water seemed to swell, churn, reach farther onto the shore. Its waves grew larger, more aggressive, the wind picked up tearing at the fur of those around, Giddeon assumed he was under attack.

He hissed at the water as it seemed to reach for his paws, this was the first time he had felt the fire of the water, feeling how others felt for a brief moment. It reached for his paws grasping at him, searing into the skin, but no damage was done. He backed away hissing in distrust, his snarl echoing off the walls that surrounded the lakes sides. The water surged high, crashing onto the shore before him, washing past him, yet not touching him as it raced by his paws. Wide eyed his stood there, shocked that he was still alive. As he went to move, was when he noticed the small form curled by his paws. Its striped pelt still and lifeless. His eyes narrowed, this had to be a trick.

But it was no trick, a cub had emerged from the lakes waters. Its tiny form clinging to Giddeon's leg in fear of the world around it. What was he to do? Its not like it was alive or anything. But that changed quickly as a light suddenly burst from the water, its searing light seeping deep into the furs of anyone who happened to be present. The cub was lifted from its position, hanging in the air as it began to hum. The sound soon became unbearable, bringing Giddeon to a crouched position, his paws over his ears. Suddenly it clapped, a wave pulsing from it expanding not only over the cub, but over the lands of LOC itself. The grass grew strong once more, the leaves a vibrant green. The clouds parted to reveal the moon above, and the muddied water seemed to recede. When the light faded, Giddeon opened his eyes. Before him stood the small cub, its shining blue eyes watching him curiously. It chirped, before lightly licking the LOC before him.

They stayed staring at each other for a long time, the cubs eyes still searing hot white from the force from the lake. Finally the glow faded and with that Giddeon stood to his paws. He looked upon the cub for a few moments before picking it up and taking it from the shores. This cub was to become a legend, a tale told by hundreds. The cub grey, its strong muscles allowing its heroic feats. Because of his birth, cubs and adults feared him just as much as they praised him. Just as much as they made him a legend. There were those who felt he was a threat to the very nature of the peace before them. So in turn, they turned on him. Leading Odysseus to a a distant land, still scarred by the blood of war. They took him to a distant pool, its water long corrupted by the taint of the war. "The cub, it fell down there, can you see it?" they said. Odysseus knelled by the edge, extending his head over to look.

That's when he felt the pain, fangs like white hot fire piercing his hide. He turned to strike the offender and he was struck again, the searing pain piercing though his eye. He turned to see those he once trusted attacking him. They pushed him back, closer to the edge until his paws slipped. He gripped the ledge, his claws digging in, scraping for what land there was. He looked at the Lions before him in terror. How could they? Why? why would they do this. "Finish him Tevon" One spoke, her eyes glowing red. A male stepped forward and one by one, plucked Odysseus's toes away from the ground until he fell. He fell for what felt like hours, plummeting towards the water bellow. His paws swiped at the air grasping for something, anything. But nothing came, his eyes flew wide, whites showing as he sunk into the water. The Lions above stepped back in horror as Odysseus's screams slashed though the air. It was agonizing, the water itself almost seemed to come alive as Odysseus struggled to break free. Its waves crawling threw his fur, consuming him, seeping into his body tearing the flesh away. The last thing seen was his paw, as it sunk beneath the dark waves and bubbles that followed. Odysseus however could see still as he sank deeper, deeper into the darkness. Soon, it was as though nothing happened.

Lost, hurt, betrayed, but not yet broken
"Finish him...Finish him...Finish him...Finish him...Finish him...Finish him..." These words echoed in the mind of what was once the legendary Odysseus. They were the first words he heard when the world became heavy once more. A cold breeze danced between each individual fur on his body, seemingly tearing at his skin sending chills though his being. The wold seemed to speak, whispering to him to wake up. Reluctantly he slowly opened his eyes, blinking as the light threaded its way into his pupils. He groaned, curling his lip slightly as he rose to his paws. The weight of his head pulling down on his shoulder. He struggled to lift it, feeling like a newborn cub trying to strengthen their muscles to see the world. He slowly raised it, narrowing his eyes as the light became more intense. He tried to see, where he was. Why was he here? He couldn't grasp it. He knows he had died, that the darkness had consumed him. But, why was he here? Perhaps this was the afterlife, but it felt wrong. Something was not right. He looked around, seeing what appeared to be an ocean.

The waves crashed on the shore, grasping at the white sand beach that stood before it. The sand swirled in the wind, the small amount of grass scraped together. It was, very calm, serine, beautiful. This had to be the afterlife, but, was it? Odysseus tread confused along the shore, the water lapping at his paws as he walked. He paused looking down in the waves. Even though the water was moving, he was able to see himself. But, not as the adult he had become, but the cub he once was. He sighed, slashing his paw across the water. That was the past, he was here to relax yes? But, where was everyone? why was he so alone, so cold.

Laughter, suddenly laughter made Odysseus's head shoot up, his ears forward. Before him lay 8 cubs, playing, tumbling around as though nothing was amiss. It was a sight to see, the careless nature of the cubs made Odysseus smile. Perhaps he wasn't alone, this was the peace he was seeking. But it didn't last. The earth quaked, roaring as it split the ground beneath them all. They plunged down and hit the water beneath with a splash, water flying everywhere. It was so dark, so, cold. Odysseus could hear the cubs screaming, but couldn't reach them. He screamed as the darkness beneath him seemed to grow limbs, grasping around him, pulling him deeper. He struggled, his paws thrashing in the water trying to break free from the grasp. Then, a light appeared, the cubs swimming towards it. Odysseus tried, struggled but the darkness pulled him down. He called, but they didn't turn, they just kept swimming. "Don't leave me! Don't..don't leave me..." His voice faded as he saw they disappear above the water. He himself, kept falling, kept sinking into the darkness until only the glow of his eyes could be seen.

Time passed, what seemed like forever as Odysseus fell further and further into the darkness that had consumed him. His eyes closed, his mind adrift lost to the darkness. Something reach for him, pulling its way through the darkness pushing it back. A paw, the claws digging into his shoulder and leg. He let out a silent scream, his eyes flying open in shock. However, nothing was there, only the wounds it left in its wake. Confused he looked around, seeing nothing but darkness around him. But wait? Was that a light? Someone was showing him a way out? The lion of light looked back at him before, turning away and moving forward. Odysseus panicked, slashing his paws through the water to try and catch up to the lion. He didn't want to be left alone. With a strength pulled from the depths of his heart, Odysseus climbed his way to the light. The figure disappeared above it, Odysseus struggled, seeming to get harder and harder as he neared the surface. Finally his claws broke free, thick, hot, sickly tar clinging to his paw. He pulled, struggled, yanked. He wanted to live, that is what he was focused on right now. His claws slashed though the air, grasping at anything solid. Finally, his head broke free, then his shoulders, half his body now standing above the sickly tar that bogged him down. He struggled with every breath of his being to drag himself to shore, but he made it. Solid ground, his claws sank in. Soon he would be free, but for what? Before he could think of an answer, he felt his eyes become heavy, shadowy lions slowly making their way towards him. He would have snarled, but he couldn't as he suddenly felt the darkness overtake him once again.

GASP! his eyes flew open, searing pain on his back leg shocking him back into reality. The ground so cold, so empty, lonely. He gasped for air, closing his eyes tight, his lungs feeling on fire. He could feel the sickly tar clinging to his fur. He blinked a few times, remembering pulling himself out of the dark pit where he had died before. The sensation of the fiery water washing over him once more. He shook his head "No.. not again.." he spoke. His eyes dilated into slits he growled, the sound rolling off the walls around him. He released his claws into the rocks beneath him. His memories drifted to the cubs, even if they were innocent, they left him to the ravages of the darkness.

Betrayed again, left alone to die in agony. He finally opened his eyes once again. Determined, but glazed with hatred that could sear the flesh of any who looked into them. He let out a roar that echoed off the walls, breaking some of the rocks, and made the ground shake. He would get these cubs back, they would pay for his pain. They would not be safe from him. At that he began to leave, only to have his path blocked by a massive black Lion. The lions glowing red eyes seeming to have intent, but also wisdom beyond what he should bear. The lion spoke, his voice deep, gruff, old. "Tell me, what is your name lion?"

Odysseus growled, but himself was curious. "My.. My name.. I believe is..Ody..Odysseus" Odysseus snarled, bothered that he couldn't even say his name. Such a simple task, but he seemed to have to choke it out. The black lion narrowed his eyes before finally speaking "A heavy name to bear, one who is angry at the gods. But, you have a place, a purpose. I suggest you don't waste it chasing frivolous things. Join our cause, and you will be great again" Odysseus thought for a few, before smiling, his lips curling back in a snarl. "No.. I think I'll do this MY way!" At that he lunged, his claws sinking into the lions side. It was no contest, this lion was weak, he caved under Odysseus's weight. Odysseus laughed, his eyes glowing with rage and malice, slashing his claws deep. Tearing, ripping into the lions flesh as blood sprayed from every wound inflicted. He continued, until The lion moved no more, roaring triumphantly. Once the way was finally clear, Odysseus set out. This, was the start of a new beginning, but first, he had some unfinished business to deal with.

Strengths:
1. Sensitive - Odysseus
seems to have an oddly sensitive
sense of feeling in his paws.
Making him able to track his
prey easily.
2. Quick witted - Odysseus always
seems to know what to say when
needed. In addition, he also reacts
quickly to situations in which
benefit him in the end.
3. Slim/Quick - Odysseus is fast.
Not only in his power usage, but
his land speed as well. Able to turn
on a dime of needed to capture
or kill his designated target. Its also
useful for running from danger, being
as he is quite frail in form
4. Strong Willed - Nothing can break
Odysseus, even if his in the wrong.
He believes in what he's doing, his
acts upon the community in which he
wages his own personal war with.

Fears:
1. Being Completely Alone
2. Falling
3. Conformity
4. Tar, Doesn't want to die again
5. Being wrong, about the
task he set forth in this life

Favorite Precious Stone:
Garnet - He just likes how it shines.
In addition, the red color reminds him
of dried blood, or blood itself. Oddly
enough, its calming.

Favorite Food:
Taxon - The antelope of this world,
He eats because of living in the
out lands. Of these creatures
he enjoys the neck most,
digging in quickly after a kill
has been made.

Favorite Tree:
Weeping Willows - It seems to him
like these trees are crying for him.
Massive in size, their branches
grazing the ground. The bark eases
pain, and the leaves sounds seem
to calm his anxious mind and
set him back on a proper course.

Weaknesses"
1. Frail - Odysseus is indeed frail,
despite the front everyone sees. He
is thin, his bones sticking out most
of the time despite being well fed.
2. Stubborn - A personality trait that
dose not do him good. He is unwilling
to give into the ways of any other. Feels
his quest is the only thing he can do to
end his internal suffering.
3. Daylight - He actually has trouble
in the light of day preforming any task
he has set his paws on. His dark pelt
swelters under the sun, and his mind
becomes fuzzy and hazed. Glossy if
you could call it that.
4. Klutz - Yes, this big fearsome creature
is a klutz. He constantly trips over his
paws, his tail doing him no good. Despite
being good, he is constantly missing his
targets because of a trip up or a stepping
on stick. One could say hes overbalanced
in the terms of weight.

Favorite Weather(s):
Cloudy Nights - Perfect weather for
attacks. He enjoys the fear that comes
with it. In addition, it makes his attacks
less likely to be seen. It also, usually
is a pre-tense to rain. Where there is
clouds, there is rain.

Rain - He likes the cleansing feeling
rain seems to bring in its wake. The water
flowing off his fur with ease, cleaning
the blood and any other grime off him.
He quite often is more active in the rain.

Favorite Time of Day:
Nighttime - He likes this time
because its the best time for
his magic to be of use. Every
single thing is in shadow.
Leaving so many possibilities of
attack.

Favorite Flower
Blood Lotus - A flower that he likes
not only because of its name,
but because its a water flower
he's always been attracted to
the water. It being the one thing
in all his lives that has been
consistent.
