Personality ;
Sol is a truly lost sole. He doesn't know where he comes from or where he is going so instead he focuses on the present and touching the lives of those who he meets. He is a sweet gentle creature with a heart of gold that he easily gives to everyone he meets. He has a way of lighting up everyones life no matter how much heart ache they are experiencing. But poor Sol does not feel the same warmth as others get from him. He feels constantly alone and completely isolated from everyone else. Although he has spent along time with a herd and seen families being formed and bonds being made, he just feels like an outside looking in.
Sol tries to always look upbeat and happy but on the inside he feels cold and purposeless.When he is alone Sol turns into a different kind of horse completely. He is moody and self loathing. He gets frustrated with himself that he can't remember the first five years of his life and will loose his temper with himself. He is not self confident because he is always taring himself down and upset with himself. But one thing that never leaves his sole no matter how unconfident he is his nature to be self sacrificing. He is always throwing himself in front of danger for others in an effort to save those he knows have people who care for them. he does not fear dying or leaving anyone behind but he always loves the feeling of knowing he did something good for someone else.
Meeting Kenya ;
Kenya was brought as a foal to Africa
to become a work horse for a farmer
there, He was wealthy compared to
all others there. But the little foal
who was only a few months old
managed to escape. But Africa is a
deadly place. Sol saw the foal
wandering the plains alone, he also
saw her sharp toothed followers and
knew their intentions. Sol saw him-
self in the little filly, alone in and
unfamiliar place with no family to be
seen. So he fought off a pride of
lions to save the little filly and tried
to raise her. To his horror he found
that the filly still needed a miracle
liquid called milk. He had to rely on
the assistance of a zebra who had
lost her foal to raise little Kenya.
Sol loves Kenya and cared for her till
she was big like him but she calls him
brother as they both know nether of
them are actually family.__________________
History ;
Everyone is born not made, right? So where are his parents? Why does he not know foal hood? How did he not know anything before his fifth birthday? Sol can not answer any of these questions. His first memories are of blinding light and searing heat. He awoke in the parched lands of The Namib desert. All around him there was sand and sun. He was a full grown stallion but he fumbled like a new born foal to stand. His legs were foreign to him and it took him a very long time to learn to stand. There seemed to be a depression in the sand around him as though something had fallen from heaven. He walked for days under the relentlessly hot sun, but he never grew thirsty or weak, Instead the sun seemed to make him feel stronger. Soon he was running like a king of the desert who had known these lands for millions of years, he seemed to know where he was going but not knowing why.
For a whole year he lived in the wilds, learning what animals where safe and what animals were not. Even so he had several close encounters that nearly ended his short, yet not short life. Sol found himself puzzled by the creatures around them. He saw youngsters who where never left without the side of a mother to lean against. It was heart breaking to him because no matter what he did he could not even picture what his mother might look like if he even had one. He lived among a heard of Zebras for a time but they were
all the same to him, personality-less and regimented. But even there he saw foals raised by their mothers and protected by their fathers. He was sickened by the unfairness of his absence of memories. In fact at first he didn't know what a foal was. He witnessed birth and death out on the savannah but could not explain his own existence. Thats when he met Kenya and it all changed.
After Saving the foal Sol got a female zebra who'd lost her foal to sickness to raise the foal. Kenya grew with the herd and soon was fully grown. She stuck with Sol though because she too knew she did not belong in these lands. So for a time Sol and Kenya lived alone together. They treat one another like siblings, watching out for one another and keeping one another company. But Kenya speaks of her real mother once in awhile and this makes Sol sad too because he knows that no matter how close to Kenya he is they are still different, she has a family, he doesn't. He will never know how he ended up in that desert or where he came from before but he is content with looking forward and not back.
