Now what? Following the wolves into the tunnel, Apotheosis does their best to brighten the way with their glow. 'Where does this lead?' they ponder, plunging deeper into the darkness. 'Whatever happens, we need to head back to the village. It is the only destination we have.'

What do you see at the end of the tunnel? // Apotheosis does their best to help lead everyone down the tunnels using their glow to light the way. Every now and again soil falls from the low ceiling, dirtying their fur and making them sneeze, but still they press on. After a while, Apotheosis' eyes catch sight of a distant glow. 'The outside!' Feeling a small wave of relief after being cramped inside the tunnels for what feels like ages, they are the first to reach the exit. With the sight of nothing but trees and snow before them, a vision that they were excited to behold, the moment before Apotheosis can step paw outside, something suddenly shimmies from above them. Startled, Apotheosis stumbles back in uncharacteristic surprise, fully expecting another dreadful monster. However, they blink in confusion at what they see now, and merely stare into the round, dark eyes of a rabbit. Now, normally this would be all fine and dandy, but Apotheosis couldn't help feeling a slight wariness about the fluffy creature, especially considering that it's over five feet tall, as stark white as the snow behind it, and dons a very impressive set of brown antlers. Now Apotheosis had never even heard of a Jackalope before, nevertheless SEEN one, so needless to say they are in too much shock to move.

Running at the front of the pack, Maximis attempted to lead the pack back to the town. At least there the locals knew what was in these woods(or did they really?) when suddenly he saw a light at the end of the tunnel. "I see a light! Keep going!" He shouted. As Max approached the end of the tunnel, he was surprised to see a large shadow forming in front of the light source. He stopped in his tracks, shaking in his boots. "M...m..maybe we should go back?" He said to his packmates

Day Twelve //
After seeing the shadow creature and having a small flashback of the 1970's and Todd Rundgren, the pack stops in their tracks. You silently watch it for a while, you hear Maximis pipe in. It's better to be safe than sorry. Everyone shuffles around and comes out the opposite end of the tunnel in a big clot. You don't seem to see any danger or the creatures. Now what?

Now what? Castion snuck out from the den, low to the ground and wary. He put aside his normal gun-ho attitude in light of the creatures out in these woods. "It seems clear, I say at this point we regroup in town and learn more about these creeps; maybe these woods and some history about this place as well" he mentioned as he led the group from the bolt hole and towards the bright lights in the distance.

Now what?
Tropica paws at the snow blocking the tunnel exit. It's really packed in, but... they gotta get out somehow right!? " I propose everyone start digging! We'll be stuck here until spring at this rate! That is, if the monster doesn't get us first! I dunno about you guys, but I miss my beach house. ;-;" The wolf says with a few tears in her eyes as she sets to work digging a small dent in the snow.

Now what? At this point it became quite clear to Maximus and the pack that perhaps the safest place was indeed the town center. At least there the citizens (presumably) knew how to deal with and live among these shadow monsters. Continuing at full speed, Max yelled back to the pack "This way, toward the village!" and motioned towards some faint light rays through the trees. He thought to himself, "I don't trust the mayor, but no way could he be any more dangerous than these monsters!"

Now what? I roll my eyes. "C'mon. There's a tunnel we passed on the way here that smelled like candy canes. I don't like the mayor of that wacky town, but I'd rather deal with him than the shadow beasts out here. Let's go back down this way and take that tunnel. I'm sure it'll lead us back to the city."

As soon as everyone got out of the hole, Edminwend blinked tiredly and whispers to the kind rpw earlier something "I suggest- we go to the village. And, ask the mayor." he says, pausing from time to time before falling into a deep slumber as if he was drunk or shot with a tranquilizer. The RPW nudged the corgi to wake him up meanwhile, that was what Edminwend asked them to do.

Now what? Growing rather impatient with the pack, she frowned and growled in a rather irritated manner, "Let's just get back to the town already! This isn't safe!" She flapped her wings a little, and glanced warily around them. This whole place - town included - gave her the creeps. She really should've just chosen to stay home, although that would've been admitting she was afraid.
