Orn stared at the sky as a strange white substance fell from it. For the longest time he hadn't experienced the cold or dark. As the pond near where he decided to call his new home froze over, Orn felt as if he would freeze too. Why had he gotten so comfortable again? It certainly was lonely outside alone. "Maybe I could-" he started to bargain with himself before shaking his head. "No! I'll never go back. Humans are trouble." he curled up and sighed to himself as the wind blew harder and colder. Orn came very close to giving up, when an oddly delightful scent came. "what is that?" he murmured to himself, cautiously slipping out of the pit he had curled up in. Following the delightfully sweet aroma, Orn found a nearby cottage. Peeking in the window he saw a girl with short brown hair. She was sitting in a chair talking to many strange creatures around her. The sweet smell was coming from in there for certain. But Orn had promised himself he'd never- Oh, what the heck. He was starving! As long as he didn't stay too long, he wouldn't get too attached. Without a sound Orn crept into the house and made his way to a cup of hot chocolate that the girl had set down. Seemingly right as he came in. But he was too tired and cold to reconsider. As the girl turned away he leaned into the cup and slurped up some of the delicious brown liquid. Dissi smiled to herself as she saw the odd creature drink the hot cocoa, she had seen him out of the corner of her eye. And like any of the others in her cottage, She'd welcome him. Even if he didn't trust her. Quietly Dissi went into the kitchen and made some toast, spreading a bit of peanutbutter on it before bringing it back out to her new guest. "Hi there." she said gently. Orn jumped, accidentally knocking the hot cocoa over onto himself he growled loudly at Dissi. "Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything." Dissi said very softly gently setting the toast down. "I hope this doesn't make you sick." she murmured to herself considering that it might not have been the best idea to give a wild animal chocolate and bread with peanutbutter.
Orn hesitated and reached quickly snatching the toast and eating some of it. The peanutbutter on top was some of the best stuff he'd ever tasted! Well, maybe one more human wouldn't be too bad. He reached more slowly and took the other piece of toast from Dissi and watched her warily. She set the plate down and smiled a bit, sitting down to let Orn finish. Orn tilted his head..Yeah, it couldn't hurt. he walked over to Dissi and hesitantly set his head in her lap. She smiled and pet him gently. "Hey there." she hummed
