companion: Her pretty companion is... a dog! Not the unique companion, I know, but this is a special dog. 'Star,' as they call her, was the Star in Aileen's life. Even though Star is blind, she has other good senses, such as good hearing, smell, and feeling. Even though she has really thick fur, she can feel the smallest touch if it hits her skin. So fleas are terrible for her.
The point is, that as a filly she was abused and orphaned, so she had to run away. The same thing happened to Star, and they met in a dark forest. Star couldn't see, but she could tell that the filly was injured, and took her in as if she was her own. They came to another stable, this one, and became inseparable. Aileen looking out for Star, and vice versa....

When it was time for Nix's release, Adelis found herself wishing the fox could stay, and Nix, found herself wishing she could. In the end, Nix knew she had to return to her home in the forest, but she still comes and visit Adelis frequently and sometimes you can see them, standing together outside, watching the sun set or chasing fireflies. Their unique personalities and differences bring balance to their friendship, making them the best of friends.

If Réalta let them stay in the barn, she could chose one of her eggs and keep the duckling as her own. Réalta agreed, and they waited the short time for Pickles hatching.
