Personality Extremely quiet and spooky. Paris has very little interaction with the world in general. She's terrified of light and loud noises, which makes her impossible to ride. The blindness doesn't seem to effect her perception of light, though we don't know how... Other than her issues, Paris is a very curious horse who loves nothing more than new scents, textures, and flavors. She tends to get excited when she's offered something new.
Likes: Paris loves new things, whether is be a toy, food, texture, person, or animal. Anything she hasn;t smelled or felt before is bound to her her excited. Her favorite food is ginger, since the spicy punch gets her every time. Bedding wise, pine shavings are her favorite, since they smell pleasant and are mostly dust free, which is great since she's mildly allergic to dust.
Dislikes: Light, cold, dusty bedding, and boring situations. Paris needs near constant stimulation, since she gets agitated and aggressive when she becomes bored.
Halter: A dusky grey, like old stone and bones.


The Paris catacombs were a place where supposedly nothing could survive. One day in 1982, a mare was abandoned in the catacombs to die by her owners. This mare was a 20 year old cart horse who had gone lame in her left hind leg. She found bits of foliage in the small patches of sunlight from aboveground and also learned to feed off of whatever fungus she could in a constant search for water. The mare somehow found enough to feed herself and eventually she birthed a blue roan filly, completely blind. The filly grew not knowing what the touch of the sun felt like. She knew only the scent of dank stone, earth, and bones. The filly learned from her dam where to find food and water, as well as the layout of the catacombs by scent and touch.

Six years after the filly's birth, her dam laid down and died in the tunnels. The filly made such a racket in her grief that she was found by authorities and brought up. at the first touch of sunlight on her brilliant coat she went berserk, very nearly killing a few of the officers. She was sedated and brought from Paris to America by boat, where many have tried to tame her, but all have failed. She spent much of her time in a dark stall.

The mare was eventually brought to Helix Gardens where she could live in a safe environment. She was christened 'Paris' after her origin place and currently resides in a large, indoor arena without lighting. She's untrained and will remain that way, since with her behavior she is unfit for riding. However, she does enjoy interaction with things like music and toys. We've also discovered she's got an amazing memory for things like mazes, likely due to her past.
