The hushed whisper of the wind draws you near to the edge of the forest. Something was almost alluring about the slender trees casting long shadows though the white plains. It called to you, just as it did everyone else in the village. However, those that knew too well of the dangers in this forest,kept their distance. Quiet voices always taunted those in the village, promising them that riches lay in the shrouded land. While they knew this to be true, that the forest did have riches, it also possessed incomparable terror. Do you dare brave this forest? Simply for a few riches?

Kadyn stared at the forest, feeling a bit better about here than the village despite the uneasiness surrounding the whole place. Without a sound she made a mark on the tree as a small habit of hers and bounded into the forest, every so often scratching up a tree in the shape of a K to show where she was going. I would rather not get lost. she thought brightly. It got a bit darker, however her night vision ability and glow helped her along the way.

Response -- Maximus couldn't seem to get the forest off of his mind. What was that awful scream? Was his pack in danger here? Max's curiosity and protective instinct look over, and in the middle of the night, he snuck away from his pack to enter the forest and see for himself what was lurking. The night, already dark, was made much darker once he had passed the treeline. Not even the light of the moon above could pierce the thick trees in the forest. Beginning to feel nervous, Max considered turning back. He pushed forwards anyhow, he had to figure out what was going on here!

Response -- Alrik came into the forest quietly, he had crept away from the rest of the group seeking the sound he had heard earlier. The forest seemed oddly familiar and saddening, like Alrik's past somehow. he shook off his memories and called out. "Hello there, are you well?"

the canine shook out her fur. "jeez." she muttered. "i should have brought my sweater." the chill of the winter wind sliced through her thick fur. vernice sighed. "i also forgot my phone... i could maybe have bars by now." vernice continued to rant. "god, i forgot a book too... goodness."

Response -- Apotheosis silently enters the forest, nothing but a ghost on the wind with nothing but the fluttering of their maroon garb fluttering in the chilling breeze. The scream they heard sent a bolt of energy through their body, surging them forward toward the sound. Apotheosis does not notice nor care that they are entering this strange wood alone; they have eyes and ears only for the sound of the scream up ahead.

Tribble cautiously enters the forest. Her tiny size quickly engulfing her in the snow. She is quickly covered in inches of snow, barely able to see above the snowline as she tries her best to push through, letting out vibrations and random calls of binging sounds.

Response -- She had wanted to explore the forest since she first heard it described. Some wolf had said something about it being mysterious and it sounded like a grand adventure to Jin-Dian. And so here she was, hopping through the snow between the trees with a watchful eye out for anything interesting.

Response -- Peering into the forest, the wolf shrugged. What harm could it do it to her? It was just a scream, after all. It could've been a bird or some rowdy kid. She stepped inside the forest, but kept a close eye on her surroundings.

Response -- He had sorta kinda just waddled/walked/limped (even) away from the group, the mayor actually coming off as a super creepy guy above anything. He had just wandered around a bit, lost, before coming to the forest.. it didn't seem like anything was stopping him from leaving to town into the forest... then again this is where the scream came from ? Er. He shook his ears around a bit, shifting his glasses on his face as he slowly padded into the woods. The scream couldn't have been anything too bad right ? Right. Besides, peering into a few passing bushes and trees he got curious and started to forget the fact he was freezing... maybe there was something (good) in these woods that could keep the thought of freezin' off his mind.
