Why they love winter: Alaska loves winter because she loves all the things that come with it. She loves the lights people put up on their houses and she loves the silly decorations they put on their cars to make them look like reindeer. She loves the smells of baking food, especially cookies, and she loves the smell of hot chocolate. The image of a fire in winter, to her, is a cozy thing to picture and it makes her look forward this season every year. But probably the reason she loves it most is because of the holidays that winter brings, and with them the feeling of joy that seems to start spreading. People act differently around this time of year, sure they gripe and whine about the snow and the cold, but most people seem to show care towards others. Even the ones who didn't seem to ever care. And that is her favorite thing about winter, seeing people come together who normally wouldn't, and seeing people help one another out.

Why they love winter: Grayson loves winter because... well... what's not to love? You can go outside and bounce around in the snow, inspecting all of the individual snowflakes, and then go inside to a warm pint of hot cocoa and blankets. Plus with the weather you can bundle up under blankets and be wonderfully cozy, whereas in the summer you can't just keep taking off layers. But most of all she loves how beautiful freshly fallen, untouched snow is, like a layer of clouds on the earth.

Why they love winter: Avery's favorite holiday is definitely winter.
You'll barely find her stuck inside, drinking hot cocoa by the fireplace
or whatever. No, she's almost always outside. Whether she's making
snow angels, having a snowball fight, or sledding. Sledding has got
to be her favorite activity, though. On the left is a photograph of her,
and it's one of her best memories. Avery loves the feel of the wind as
she sleds down a hill. Her tail whipping back and forth behind her, and
the howl of the wind all at the same time is just mesmerizing.
