Lysithea picked up these bells a long time ago from beside a bin, discarded. The inside object of these bells which made their chiming sound had fallen out through the slots, possibly due to a dint in the metal. Being the fuss pot she is Lysithea restored the bells and has spent years searching for the right item to place inside for the perfect sound. Normally they jingle in an inharmonious manner meaning they have not yet found their own chimes. This is probably due to the fact that she tries all sorts of materials, from rocks, to crystals, to small random objects she finds.
