She catches flies to let go in front of people to prove that she’s harmless. As she took the expression “Couldn’t hurt a fly” literally, she believes this will prove to others that she is harmless and sweet. Although she is often confused by their almost disgusted looks when she does this, not understanding how it grosses people out instead of showing them how harmless she is. But none the less she has grown quite skillful in catches flies, being able to snatch them out of the air to show people then let go, however she is not always successful when she tries to catch them.

Smile. Caine, most surprisingly, has the sweetest smile. Once Caine smiles, other plumerians can clearly see the true personality of Caine.

what do they do to convince others that they are harmless?; helios carries a small satchel to almost every new place he visits. Although it does have the necessities, water, wallet, and things like that, he also carries flowers. It seems extremely uncommon that a plumerian who looks like him would carry around a bag full of flowers, but he does it to try to get people to trust him. His appearance isn't exactly a pocket full of rainbows, so whenever he meets or sees someone shoot him an uncertain glance, he hands them a flower. The flowers are grown in his garden, and each day they are freshly picked. They range in a variety of colors, but most often they are daisies, the simplest of flowers.

This probably isn't the best way, but Vera will try to guilt trip them. She really doesn't care what others think of her, but she gets irritated beyond belief knowing they're judging her because of how she looks. So, whenever someone happens to show some kind of discomfort towards her, she'll state in a fake, timid voice, "you're scared of me aren't you? That's okay, I'm used to it" or "huh, of course, most people are scared of me, I don't know why I expected you to be any different" and go back to doing what she was doing(most likely reading a book). She just does this to get back at them for judging her when they know nothing about her. This works and tends to ease others discomforts, but of course will make them feel guilty and awkward. Typically, when the plumie apologizes or tries to convince her that they aren't scared of her at all, she'll either continue with this facade or if she sees that they are genuinely sorry and not just embarrassed and attempting to be polite, she'll open up and start a genuine conversation. Of course she'll slip in a few comments like "you don't have to keep talking to me if you don't want to.." just to make it more convincing.
