There is something special about thunderstorms. You always know when they are approaching. The air gets humid, the smell of rain lingers. Then the skies turn to a frightening shade of blue or green. The wind may start to howl, and the dark clouds roll in like they are running the last stretch of a race. You can seek shelter, hide from the anger of mother nature, or sit and watch her wrath unravel before you. Either way, any preparation or precautions you take wont ever prepare you for the main event. It manages to sneak up on you and engulf every sense you have. There is something special about thunderstorms. They don't bring the feeling of fear, but a shiver sends itself down your spine every time one approaches. I can't explain how it makes me feel to have the wind tangle itself in my mane or the lightning excite my heart. Only one word comes close to describe this feeling: electrifying.
