hmm...
I've decided that I will help one person (whom I decide has an interesting idea) with one of their extras - be it art, a story - whatever.
PM me with your ideas and what sort of extra you'd want help with, and I'll choose one person to help.
Now that the existential crisis has passed, I'm not leaving! Sorry for the momentary scare, folks!

my jbd hangouts;; very plain, since i dont have a jbd yet ^^
my two extras are - the art(I ordered more but it didn't come in in time) and the diary entry.
name; columbus christopher flint
nickname(s); colie, colby, chris
gender; male
sexuality; slightly bi-curious
age; eleven years
themesong; curiosity by carly rae jepson
fears; claustrophobia(tight/enclosed spaces), homophobia(blood), hypnophobia(dreams/sleeping/nightmares)
bedroom; click (by nymeria)
room description;
walking first into the room, there are two things that stand out above all else. first is the extension of colby's obvious dreamcatcher obsession. they are absolutely everyone. hanging form the bed, the window, the wall; he even had a massive dreamcatcher rug on the carpet. the second thing that stands out is the wall of pictures. he takes pictures of everything; somehow someway they seem to keep his adventurous, curious nature at a relatively calm point. moving along, you notice the bed on the left side of the room. it's a simple white metal trundle with pale purple sheets and a dark purple pillowcase. a dreamcatcher hangs from each of the four bedposts (surprise surprise). on the side of the bed is a large window, that seems to easily open up into the backyard, which goes straight into a garden, that leads into a forest. on side of the room that has the wall covered in pictures, there is also a small wooden desk. on top of the desk are random, undecipherable scribbles that only colby seems to be able to decode. on top of the desk itself there is his camera, computer, and photo printer. the floor itself is a soft lavender/purple color, and the walls are a light cream. along top of each wall is elegant hand writing. one side says "curiosity killed the cat" and the other says satisfaction brought it back"

dear diary,
"it was dark. cold. moist. the air was thick and heavy, draping down. the ground was hard. the air had a chill. I woke up startled by the freeze given off in the air surrounding me, expecting to find myself in my bed, perhaps with the window blown open. but no. I was in a tiny, dark space. the ground and the walls were both stone of some sort, although what type I could not tell, due to the lack of light. stumbling around in the darkness, I felt around for a way out; all I found were spiderwebs. I squeaked as they covered by paws, my fingers sticking together with the pale webs. I managed to rip them all off, using my teeth, but I must have dug too deeply; I felt wetness upon my paws, and upon sniffing one, for I still couldn't hardly see, I recognized the metallic undertone of blood. I felt myself get queasy; blood had always been something that made me ill. but I somehow managed to force myself to push that to the back of my mind. this was something I could deal with later. for now, I had to get out of this dark place, figure out where I was, and somehow get myself home. after stumbling around in dead silence for a bit longer, I managed to find a tiny opening in one of the walls. well, I say tiny; technically, it was only slightly smaller than I was. but it was my only option of escape. and so, I forced my breathing to calm, trying to forget about my claustrophobia as I began to squeeze myself through. I managed to get my head, neck, and shoulders through before I got stuck; my ribcage was too large. oh dear lord. but I had no other options. so I forced myself through, biting so harsh on my lip that I drew blood; not that I felt it. forcing myself through the opening, it took everything in me not to let out an ear piercing scream as I felt, and heard, my ribs crack from the pressure. it was excruciating. the worst pain I'd ever felt. it hurt to breath; scratch that, it was nearly impossible to breath. and yet somehow I managed to drag myself to my paws and creep through the corridor infront of me. every step jostled my ribs, every breath felt like I was nearing death. but I pushed on. my family. I had to see my family again. I would not die with them having no clue where I was. my parents, my brothers, my sisters.. no. I would not die. finally, this hallway, this never ending corridor, came to an end. there was a door; a simple door. it was a dark gray, and there was no hint of light from the otherside. but it was my only option. so I opened it and instantly, a cold breeze ran through my fur. but I was outside. thank goodness. but I was in a forest; and not the one near my home. I didn't recognize this place. the trees, the grass, the bushes.. everything was dead and black. and when I turned around to face the door I had come out of, it was no longer there. there was no building, no hint it had ever existed. I was so confused.. and now, the freezing cold air made my breathing even harder than before. that's when I heard it. the shrieking. the wailing. it sounded like the dead was coming up out of the ground. I closed my eyes, trying to block it out, and when I reopened them; the sounds were louder than ever, and I was no longer in a forest, but a cemetery. and the dead were rising. skeletons were clawing out of their graves, coming towards me. I tried to run, but with my injuries I barely made It a few yards before I was surrounded. they began to attack me, piling on me.. everything faded to black..."
that was the dream I had every night. the nightmare I woke up to, drenched in my own cold sweat. the first few nights I woke up crying. since then I awoke screaming. I knew my family worried. but none of us knew what to do to stop the terrors that faced me in my sleep. this went on for months, and then my miracle came, my savior. of course, it was a mere accident. I was on google, trying to figure out how to use photoshop (I was a child, I knew nothing okay?) and I stumbled across a picture of a dreamcatcher. for some reason, the object caught and held my attention. I couldn't get it off my mind. so I began to do research into the spiritual object. I convinced my parents to let me get one. the nightmare came that night, but it was far less severe, less scary, less horrifying. I snuck a second dream catcher into the house, and again, the nightmare came, but it was even less fear-inducing. I got a third dream catcher, and that night I didn't get the dream at all. and ever since then, I have increased my collection of dreamcatchers. they are the only thing that allows me to get any rest at night. many believe I am just being superstitious, that it's all in my mind. but no one will ever be able to convince me of anything else but this; I know that dream catchers truly work. for they saved me.

Here's my bedroom
entry
(drew it then uploading it to Pintrest)
His name is Gelo (meaning 'ice' in Portuguese). He doesn't really like nicknames, either.
Gelo is a shy little bean who isn't one for socializing-except for with his reindeer plushie, Olki (ohl-key). Olki was given to him when he was born, and he takes it everywhere he goes. He takes great care of him, as well. They play together and build forts outside in the snow. Gelo never really had friends, but he discovered he doesn't really need them (for now). He likes playing on the computer and organizing his room since he has OCD. He's also got a cactus on his desk named...Cactus. So, yeah. Gelo=Reindeers and Cacti.
Gelo is a quiet little bean who enjoys spending his time in his room. He is a gamer, but you can only really tell on the computer. His room has fluffy, grey carpet with a light blue rug with a snowflake on it in the center of the room. He has a bunk bed type setup where a couch with fluffy cushions sits on the top. It has a perfect view of his flat screen on the opposite side of the room. Below the couch is his 'den' where he has his computer, his cactus plant, garbage can, yellow leather chair, and a window with a perfect view of his front yard. Next to the setup is his favorite dream catcher he received on a trip to a local Indian reserve. His bed is literally built into the wall with siding so he doesn't fall out of it. The siding has stickers and pictures of random kawaii things such as turtles, rainbows, and smilies. His bedspread is made up of multiple shades of blue, his favorite color. His passion for the winter and snow also shows in his room, as well. Snowflake stickers, paintings, and designs cover his room from top to bottom. Along with these things, he also has a secret obsession for...REINDEERS! <3
(requested from FoxerOwl); "It's snowing! It's snowing!" Gelo shouted happily, as he jumped up and down. Excitedly, he grabbed his reindeer plushie, Olki, and hugged him tight as he ran into the hall to put on his winter gear. After his right glove was properly secured, he ran outside and into the December snow, smiling brightly. He already knew what he and Olki were going to do, and immediately got to work. He began to pack the fluffy snow into a wall, and built more walls next to it. Gelo had always wanted to build a fort, and now was his time to shine! Olki sat atop the first wall built, standing guard as snowflakes fell onto his fur. Gelo was hard at work, making sure he had a secure fort. As he finished the walls, he decided to add a finishing touch. He dug around in the snow to find a frost-covered stick, and he removed his scarf to make a makeshift flag. Fastening the scarf onto the branch, he jabbed it into the front wall and grabbed Olki, holding him close. He was proud of his first fort, and it was fairly large. Gelo and Olki spent the day making snow angels and snowmen inside of Gelo's first ever built fort.
I am so thrilled that you're having this contest! You're so kind and generous <3 I've always wanted a JBD, so I hope you like my entry. I'm trying to get into art, so even if I don't win, feedback is appreciated. This bean is so precious! Backs away into a corner holding bean and hisses* My precious! Anyways, thanks
Much love,
~S❄ ❄ ❄
