Hey, Pokechu12 here, a semi-active member of the JBD community. I recently got a JBD by the name of Phenex via gifting, who I used to explain Wendell's room as much as I could. I'm not the most active on the JBD Hangout, but I do regularly RP my JBD on CS and draw her both here and in RL. Before we begin and I introduce you to our main character, I'd like
to introduce myself. My personality, behaviors, and experiences have
heavily influenced our young hero, and as such it would be only appropriate
for me to introduce myself...

I'm AnnaROUaT, frequently known around the cyberspace as 'Anna', 'Ann', 'Annie',
'Hannah', or even 'Row'. Call me whatever you'd like, titles don't influence me as
much as they do Wendell. I frequent many websites, can be found on the JBD hangout
here, and am most usually online. I am a habitual reader, literate writer, roleplayer, and AP
student. I am a bit too friendly for my own good, so if you have any questions regarding myself,
this form or my current beans please don't hesitate to ask! I can provide Skype information
and other forms of contact [such as Kik] upon request.

I currently have two reasons to smile, er, Jellybean Dragons. I was fortunate enough
to win Harper Orpheus Sithia through an adoption contest
several months ago, and have since been gifted Kailani "Kai" Rain Panium. I am so, so
incredibly lucky to own these beans, and they are my reason to smile on a daily basis.
They are both roleplayed daily, drawn during particularly dreary lectures, written into stories,
daydreamed about and cared for well. I strictly only tryout for beans, and other characters, that
I feel a connection with, and Wendell is no exception. The real reason I'm applying for this lovely
is that once I saw he was up for adoption, I hesitantly marked the thread, only to find myself with
a fully formed character less than half an hour later. I certainly harbor a strong connection with him,
and I will do my best to breathe life into him throughout this form. For information about my current
beans or how I care for them, please don't hesitate to message me, although I may talk your ear off,
since I can go on for hours about each of 'em ♥

⇞ Wendell's Habitat ⇞

➻ Description ➻ When entering Wendell's room, the first thing you'd notice would be the spaciousness. Almost all of the room is empty, and with its high ceilings and hardwood floors, as well as beautiful windows that let in boundless amounts of sunlight, claustrophobia is not an issue in this room. While the room has many strikingly odd features, its first would the the piece of glass installed in the hardwood floors. The glass is industrial strength, very durable and sturdy. As one side of Wendell's room actually juts out from the side of the main house, by standing over the glass you are able to view the world below, at least, a small section of Wendell's backyard. The rug in the center of the room is ocean themed, contributing to the room's blue and brown color scheme. To the right of the entryway is a surprisingly uncluttered gaming set up, designed to accommodate only one player. A bookshelf sits to the side of the rug, in front of the windows and, shockingly, a plastic yellow slide serves as an exit from the loft that is home to Wendell's bed. The room smells distinctly of apple spice - a scent that Wendell insists is calming - and is lit through the windows and a glass lamp atop the loft. The wall behind the doorway, closest to the glass pane in the floor, is decked out with mario wall decals, showcasing Wendell's love of video games. The far wall, which is mainly composed of windows, holds a travel board, filled with blue pins for each place Wendell has been and red pins for each place he would like to go.

➻ Specifics ➻ 1. || The entryway. The entrance to Wendell's room is in the corner, off a staircase that leads into the rest of the home. When entering Wendell's room, one might find him seated in his gaming chair, watching television or playing Super Mario, or spot the bean lying on the glass inset to the floor, his muzzle pressed to the cool material as he watched the world go by below. A small, hemispherical rug lies on the floor beneath the door, framing the entrance. Wendell will insist you wipe your feet on said rug before stepping any further into the room, so please be sure to do so before we proceed.

2. || Gaming chair. This chair was acquired by the young bean through his own means, involving almost hours of work in the garden doing chores. Days upon days were spent weeding beds in exchange for a small sum of money, which was all put towards the chair. Almost ironically, Wendell rarely uses the chair for gaming, preferring to sit on the floor next to it. Instead, he sits in the comfortable chair as he reads or daydreams, rocking back and forth in a calming manner.

3 + 4. || Speakers and bookshelves combined, these two towers stand adjacent to the television screen. The one closest to the room's corner holds game cases on the bottom - each game in its proper, alphabetically assigned position, of course. The other tower's base contains books rather than games. As you'll come to find out, Wendell has a special love for adventure books - shown by this meticulously organized stand. This tower holds his very, very favorite novels.

5. || A television screen that is rarely used to broadcast television media, Wendell received this as a hand-me-down form one of his siblings. It was in very poor shape when he received it, but after several weeks of training himself in television system repair, Wendell was able to make it even better than before. The television, which is a small flat screen, sits atop a small cabinet that contains gaming consoles and a few controllers, as well as cords for his chair's speakers and electrical extension wires.

6. || A rug woven to look similar to the ocean, this carpet sits adjacent to the glass pane in the floor. The young bean can frequently be found lying on it, gazing or picking at the strands, daydreaming about being a merciless pirate who sails the seven seas in search of gold.

7. || A glass window pane inset within the varnished hardwood floors of Wendell's room, the pane is industrial grade and is so clear that many are afraid to step on it - worrying that it's simply a hole in the floor. Wendell's second floor room extends off the back of the home, and from this glass pane he can see the grass and cobblestone below, mainly that of his backyard. Wendell will often lie on his stomach atop the pane, tracing his claws up and down the glass as he watches the world below and thinks. The glass pane is also involved in one of Wendell's obsessive habits, specifically his cleaning. Whenever Wendell is deep in thought, worried about something or nervous, he'll whip out the good ol' Windex and go at this glass pane like crazy. There is some deep seeded symbolism to this reaction, one that Wendell himself realizes. By cleaning the glass floor, which acts as almost a window to another wold below, Wendell is transporting himself elsewhere - away form his thoughts, away from reality. That is, if you believe those things. Regardless, it results in a spotless glass pane much of the time.

8. || A wooden varnished bookshelf, this furniture piece is stuffed full of books, most of them adventure books. The few that aren't categorized under the "adventure" genre are "do it yourself" books that relate to Wendell's life, showing his adoration of self-instruction and absorbing new information.

9. || A pirate-themed bed within his loft, this is where Wendell spends a significant amount of his time. The mattress is inset in a wooden frame shaped to look like a pirate ship. Cliche, yes, but it makes Wendell happy nonetheless. Wendell's sheets and comforter are blue, sticking with the pastel blue theme of the room.

10. || Yet another bookshelf, this one holds kick-knacks that the young bean has collected over the years. The wooden frame is home to several seashells, snow globes, and framed images of his family.
Now, please exit the loft using either the ladder or the slide, but watch your step! Be sure to avoid disturbing any of Wendell's objects as you do so...

⇞ Extra 1 || Journal ⇞
I chose this as my first and primary extra due to the insight on Wendell's life and personality that it provides. It was also quite fun for me to brainstorm activities that Wendell would partake in on a day-to-day basis, and it gave me some ideas as to how his relationships with other beans will work out. I chose to only due four journal entries due to the time restraints that I was facing, in addition to not wanting to burden the judges with unnecessary information.

⇞ Extra 2 || Relationships ⇞
For my second extras, I chose to showcase Wendell's relationships with the individuals that compose his family, in addition to his relationships with other beans. If I were to be awarded Wendell, these relationships would be expanded through roleplaying, writing, art pieces and more.

Raynavin ["Mum"]
Wendell is certainly a 'momma's boy'. Raynavin is the one Wendell will come running to when he needs advice, comfort, suggestions, or even simply snuggles. Wendell enjoys baking, and will often try to find time to help his mother out if she's baking. Wendell will ask her to read some of his adventure books to him, and has even attempted to play some of his video games with her. Raynavin is responsible for a portion of Wendell's hipster behaviors [such as his enjoyment of the site called tumblr] and enjoys dressing her son up in beanies, bow ties, and more. She passed to him her love of scarves, beanies, and several bands, and even enjoys tucking her son in at night. This duo is seemingly inseparable, judging by the way Wendell hugs her each day before he leaves for school.

Whimsic
While Wendell is certainly closer to his mother in terms of their bonds, Wendell certainly adores his father. Whimsic is responsible for Wendell's sightly irritable side, albeit a less than desirable trait. Whimsic is the one Wendell will go to when he wants to tell a joke or pull a prank, reflecting Wendell's less than serious relationship with his father. Whimsic passed down his love of reading to Wendell, and Wendell never fails to remind his father around the holiday season just how much of a miser he was. Whimsic's bond with Wendell is less strong than the bond between Wendell and Raynavin, but it's still an unbreakable one of father-son love and kindness.

Jack Frost ["Jack" or "Jacque"]
Wendell and Jack are more of playmates than anything else. Jack is Wendell's favorite male sibling, and probably second overall sibling. You'll often find these two whiling away their weekends by running around outside, sparring with a wooden pirate sword and wooden staff, each in turn. These two never fail to entertain one another, and Jack is one of the very few that Wendell will allow to sit in his precious gaming chair or slide down the yellow playscape item from his loft. Jack and Wendell reflect one another significantly, their compatible personalities resulting in playful, frequent interactions.

Ircabeth ["Ircey"]
If Wendell had to boil it down, Ircabeth would likely be his least favorite sibling. It's not that he doesn't enjoy her presence, it's that she terrifies and intimidates the young bean. Her snappy, bullying personality simply doesn't fit well with Wendell's kind-hearted one, and at a young age he would often find himself cowering from and avoiding the bean he was forced to call a sibling. He's tried numerous times to make her happier and more pleasurable, even to simply befirned her, but each time the attempt blows up in his face. Her grumpy, introverted nature means that Wendell will often get the shivers if he hears that she's visiting home - thankfully a rare occurrence for the introverted, cynical older sister.

Bruce ["Brew"]
Similarly to Ircabeth, Bruce's aloof and haughty nature tends to push Wendell away, even just a little bit. Wendell acts significantly more anxious around him than normal, and has trouble talking to the bean. Of course, every once in awhile there will be some siblingly love, typically involving Wendell riding around on Bruce's back in a piggyback ride, but these occasions are rare and usually end with Wendell tumbling off the older brother's back and landing unceremoniously on the hard ground with a thud. All in all, Bruce is a little intimidating to Wendell, but he loves his older brother all the same.

Mirana ["Mir"]
Very very opposite of her sibling, Mirana and Wendell have a fairly close relationship. Mirana is the one Wendell will go to for siblingly advice, for hugs, or even to play with if Jack is busy. Every once in awhile, Mir will let Wendell braid her hair, and he'll teach her how to play a game of his, maybe even two. They've always been close, but as Mir grows older, the rift between them widens a bit as Mir branches out with her own life, and her own family.

Jeanette [No nickame cx]
Jeanette and Wendell have a fairly odd relationship, to say the least. These two are constantly vying for Mir's attention each time the duo and their children return home to visit Mirana's family, yet they have a friendly, easy going relationship. One built on trust, their bond is quite strong, considering. Wendell like the fact that Jeanette makes his sister happy, and her overall demeanor clicks well with his. There's a constant, silent battle over who will get the most of Mirana's attention each time they visit, but once it's over they quickly call a truce and return to being mutual friends.

Merle ["Cuz"]
Merle, although Wendell's nephew, is more like a cousin to Wendell. Wendell loves hanging out with the bean every time he's able. Wendell is constantly trying to impress Merle with his games, love of adventuring, and impressive talents. ["Hanging from a tree until your face turns purple, anyone?] Regardless, Wendell loves the bean he refers to as his cousin, and simply cannot wait each time a visit with him is announced.

Zepar ["Zep"]
Wendell's nephew, Zepar, is like a foreign country to the young bean. Wendell, who has trouble reading body language and understanding others to begin with, has no idea how to behave around this bean. Zep' teenage angst is utterly foreign to poor Wendell, who has no idea how to handle Zep's irrational teenage behavior or console him when he's upset. When Wendell reaches his teen years, however, he'll have a much easier time connecting with, understanding, and reaching out to the bean he affectionately calls "Cuz' Zep".

Harper ["Harp"]
Harper, who lives fairly close to Wendell and his family, is a close friend of the young bean. She is, of course, significantly more outgoing than the young male bean, which is refreshing for him, in a way. Wendell has trouble reading the body language of others, but Harper's outspoken and boisterous personality makes things easier for the gamer, and he spends less time focusing on the unspoken rules of social etiquette and more on having fun. Wendell was responsible for introducing The Legend of Zelda to the young Harper, and not a weekend passes by without the two playing a game in the safety of Wendell's room.

Kai [No nickname cx]
Kai and Wendell are something of awkward rivals, each trying desperately to avoid the other for unknown reasons. Nobody knows particularly what caused this rift in the first place - maybe an argument over Xbox versus Wii? Panic! At the Disco versus the NY Symphony? - but they'll certainly avoid one another. It's not that they hate each other, but both have semi-atrocious social skill, causing an awkwardness whenever they see one another on the street. They'll often cross a road and walk on opposite sidewalks, greeting each other with a polite nod, turning to glare daggers into the others back as soon as they've passed.

Kalari ["Calamari"]
Wendell has always had a fondness for this strange bean, who he's affectionately nicknamed "Calamari" (yes, after the culinary dish). These two have been friends for a little while, and, while they have incredibly different personalities, that doesn't seem to matter. Kalari is that one friend who is always ready to push Wendell out of his comfort zone, help him exceed his limits, and forget everything that bugs him - leaving him laughing and happy. Kalari pushes Wendell to his limits and, while she sometimes irritates him, she forces the young bean to leave his teeny tiny comfort zone and learn what the word "fun" means.

aviate || Per my typical standards, in each JBD comp you've been one of my major shout-outs. And I can promise you that will never change. From discussing interestingly judged Viscet contests to pretending to slap people in the face with various aquatic life, you'll always be one of my best friends here on CS. I can't really express my gratitude for support throughout my journey on CS, as it'd get so utterly sappy [and a bit creepy to be honest], but just know I appreciate our slightly odd chats and all the support you've offered me in the past year - in whatever form it may take, be it lending me your beans for usage in forms to screeching about the sexuality of a certain Disney character.

captain swan || Oh, you utterly useless cermet. I feel as though each competition that passes by, each credit section that you're in, I grow as a person. And so do you. We fight, yes, and in epic ways, but that doesn't mean I won't always be here for you. I don't know where life will take me in the next few years, but I do know one thing - I'm never going to let 'this' go. I've lost so many friends to miles and miles of distance, but this.... This one's different, okay? And I always say that, with each tri-year that rolls around, and it always ends the same way, but... Not this time. We've been through too much together for me to pass even the slimmest chance of gaining more time with you up.
