honestly, i have no idea what inspired me to make this one ; v ; hope you guys like them, though !
this rpw has some... rather strange markings. are those tattoos, or were they born with them? not to mention their various stitches.

for this one, i'm looking for a short personality and an explanation on this rpw's markings [ namely the legs markings and the dragon skeleton markings ] and stitches - as a hint, i would love to see some of their personality incorporated into your explanation <3 prettying up and extras are allowed, though i'll mostly focus on the personality and explanations ; v ;

Caelum Ryder is a wolf with a double part name. Depending on the meaning, it means 'the sky knight' or 'knight's chisel'. Caelum likes to go with the latter- after all, there isn't any wolf who would want to stay on earth more than archaeologist and surfer Caelum Ryder himself.

Caelum was named not after the latin word 'caelum' but instead after the constellation, Caelum. Formerly Caelum Scalptorium, meaning "the engravers' chisel", it is a faint constellation in the southern sky, named and brought into the knowledge of astrologers in the 1750's by a man named Nicolas Louis de Lacaille.
Nicolas Louis de Lacaille was a French man, and originally named the constellation Burin- which translates into the former Caelum Scalptorium. A burin is a tool used ''in archaeology, meaning a special type of lithic flake with a chisel-like edge which was used for engraving, or for carving wood or bone''. This is why some archaeologist friends often joke and call Caelum a 'Burin'.
How he got his name is an interesting story he's always far to excited to tell: one that'll be covered later. However, he was named due to the incident, and was considered a 'gift from heaven' there-forth, and is now considered the resident guardian for the island.

What do these words have in common?
Absolutely nothing.

We're not sure why Caelum Ryder has been a participant in all the above things. In fact, we're not sure what is so appealing about a chef who doesn't wash his hands before he eats: nonetheless, somehow our hero Caelum Ryder is beloved and reigning guardian over the island in which he resides.

Caelum is a casual guy. He loves cracking jokes [but not cracking bones], and finds himself often helping others with whatever ridiculous tasks they need assistance with. Basically, he's the main character who decides that side quest helping the farmer is more important than the main quest of saving a princess or slaying a dragon. Caelum is known for bad jokes, especially ones concerning skeletons par his love of archaeology, and known for being a fighter for what is right. This is both literally and figuratively. You see, being the guardian of the island is a hell of a lot of work. And thanks to lots of strifing with the vacationing Strider family, Caelum is now skilled in sword fighting. So, literally, Caelum is a fighter for what is right.

Don't get Caelum confused for a mean, buff, macho guy though. Caelum is a legitimate sweetheart and is one of the kindest on the island. He has a passion for cooking, predominantly pasta, and will more than happily invite you into his 'humble adobe' to share a plate... or five. No one minds, though. After all, no one can cook a better plate of pasta than Caelum Ryder himself.

Caelum has a few interesting hobbies. He loves to explore, surf, cook, and dig up bones. [Of course, one of these is not like the other]. Caelum is actually admired for his skills... which is odd, considering his job is being an archeologist who goes surfing.
Surfing, yes. When he's not spending his time nose deep in skeletons or trapped in a tomb, Caelum has a passion for surfing. In fact, if asked about the correlation between archeology and surfing, he cheekily replies that its so he can, "Travel the world exploring both land, and sea! You know, its remarkable the waters on the coast of Australia! All you gotta do is say, 'Hey Jacob, there's a super neat tomb in some place in Fiji' and he's already packing! Free surfing trips whenever I want!"
Of course, Caelum does genuinely love archeology. When he's not breaking things or tripping into caverns, he specializes in seaside runes, and obviously bones and fossils. He enjoys aquatic skeletons the most, and dinosaur skeletons second best. And back on the topic of tripping things... Caelum is incredibly clumsy. In fact, a third of his scars are purely from expeditions. It could just be him sometimes tripping and getting impaled by an embalmer... in which case he just calls over the doctor to stitch him up, which is normally Jake. Its not even a big deal anymore. He's a super bad archeologist to be frank, but no one tells him that.

Part of the reason no one tells him is because Caelum is actually fragile. Both physically and mentally. If described in five words, it would be 'save me from the world'. He's incredibly innocent despite his position as guardian and his heart is in the right place. The best way to win against him would be mental warfare, because there's no possible way Caelum can handle such things. Thankfully for everyone, Caelum is a forgiving soul who's forgetful.

Its an interesting story about Caelum's markings. When questions, the reply is often that his 'tattoos' represent the waves in which he surfs, and the skeletal remains as well as ruins represent the archaeology. He remarks its like he was 'born to explore and surf'.
Its always questioned whether they're natural or not. He always replies that it is tattoos, and you can't deter him from believing so. Some believe its because he's lying, and those who know him well enough that know he can't tell a lie say that he's just made himself forget the truth of the situation.

Caelum's markings have caused more than enough trouble. Its often taken as a joke that Caelum is his parents legitimate child: and giggled that he's 'secretly adopted'. This is not so. Much like a color and genes have mutations, Caelum's markings are mutations themselves.

Its rumored in his culture that every century, a figure of immense power- should this be good, or evil, will emerge. And as everyone saw the day Caelum was born, he was different. Living on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean, different is bad: different gets you killed. There was no exception to the little pup. The leader of the clan living on the island decided that the tradition had been fulfilled, that Caelum was this figure of immense power: one of malice and evil. While his back markings and the darkest brown markings were the traditional ones that were of his clan, the rest were not. Considered taboo by his coat, Caelum was taken from his parents and brought to be given to the volcano of the island as a payment for whatever sins had been committed.

The volcano was inactive and had been for hundreds of years: leaving behind rubble and a structure called a lava tube. These lava tubes made a large labyrinth, now cooled after the long recess of not being touched by the lava. Carved away by the inhabitants of the island long ago, they now had a massive maze: and it was here Caelum had been dropped off, left to perish.


Fortunately a lovely archaeologist family frequented this set of ruins. They came upon Caelum, finding his hair not brown but now a magnificent shining silver, and with scrapes all over his body. Taking him in, they raised him with their older and only son, Jacob English, one of the natives of the island. They were living in complete isolation, hiding Caelum and spending their time fighting the monsters on the island and watching movies till their hearts content.

Caelum lived like this until one day visitors came to the island. Things Caelum had only seen in the movies- such as the princes and their knights- had come to visit.

Caelum looked up to them and knew he wanted to be one: one of those knights in shining armor, armor shiny enough to match his hair. Running up to the smallest prince, he immediately started trying to prove himself. Caelum was unable: every single time he went for a hit, he felt some overwhelming force fighting him back, unable to swing his sword! The prince, named Lewis, laughed and excused himself to instead see Jake instead. Caelum was attempted to become deterred, his family not wanting to risk him in such a deadly position. Nonetheless, he didn't give up. Not an inch.


After lots of training and convincing, he realized it was Jake's power of hope radiating that blocked him from using attacks. The first day he was able to hit Jake, Jake laughed and praised Caelum for his efforts. Caelum got better with swords and blocking, but not without accidentally giving himself more than enough scars first.

When Jake had set off on archaeology missions, Caelum followed around, much like an apprentice: the two had a lot of fun, but upon Jake leaving to visit his friends and Caelum stayed back at the island, he realized his calling. When there was a rampant problem with one of the inhabitant's Guardians on the island, Caelum was the one who jumped to the call.

It was a while before Caelum was convinced to stay. Now taught how to surf, Caelum stays on the island as the resident guardian and to surf in some of the best waters in the world. Caelum is the protector and guardian of the island, there to keep everyone safe and fit. He still travels with Jake and follows his love of archaeology, but his heart lies with his home, back at the island.

His stitches are very important to him. In fact, so important that each one has its own name- ranging from serious like 'The Terminator' to 'Potato Chip', each one holds its own story. Most of them are from surfing or archaeology accidents; surprisingly, not much from fighting.

He gets a lot of questions about them: mostly how he got them, and if they hurt. Caelum replies proudly with the name of the scar and stitch, but replies no with the hurting problem.
Most assume Caelum must be some sort of ghost, or deceased creature: the fading coloration of his hair, the strange markings, seemingly lost memory from his childhood incident...
The truth is, Caelum has a condition called 'Congenital insensitivity to pain'- also known as 'CIP' or congenital analgesia. Its a condition where the individual cannot, nor ever has, felt physical pain. This is partly why he has so many scratches and scars: he cannot judge distance perception well and its not like it has physically given him pain. While this might seem beneficial, Caelum is a perfect example of why its not. He has to constantly be monitored in order to make sure he's not sick without knowing it, and he's bitten the tip of his own tongue off by accident. It is unknown if Caelum suffers from any other conditions or illnesses.

weather it be guys, girls, people in between - he's even been known to attempt with
inanimate objects, when he has enough in his system. however, this is usually just a
ruse; dallon has an inability to settle down and is an incredibly flaky and uncertain
rpw. however, he just loves the attention he receives because of his antics - being
the name on everyone's lips tends to be his favourite hobby, besides art.
if he finds an rpw pretty or handsome enough for his attention, dallon will do
literally anything to gain their attention and attraction; from dying his hair
to learning a new language or instrument, dallon is desperate for love and
attention from somebody or rather new. however, due to his flakiness
and general inability to stay committed [i mean, literally EVERYONE is

are natural; the rest are tattoos made by a water-based tattoo ink that washes off.
in detail ; dallon is working as a tattoo artist's apprentice; because of this,
he needs something to practise on, and he can't legally use other rpws. so what
does he use, then? himself!
the ink dallon uses is applied like real tattoo ink, complete with the pain, but isn't
permanent and will wash off in rain or a shower.
all of his "markings" that aren't from his muzzle down to his tail, running down
his back [plus the shoulder marking] are of this ink.
dallon mainly keeps them, because, well, he thinks they look cool. and they
impress cute people, so that's always a perk. i mean, who isn't a sucker for
a boy with pretty tattoos?

dallon was met by a shiny light and a tiny rpw with fearsome horns,
claws and sabre-sharp teeth. after begging and bargaining to keep
his soul, the reaper brendon found himself being shadowed by the
flirty, fluffy-haired male with the stitches and the pretty tattoos.
they became unlikely friends as dallon became more and more fond
of the tiny reaper who tried so hard to be intimidating. their friendship
grew, and the two became an unlikely duo; running around together
and finding rpws who deserved to pass early - evil rpws with no mercy,
or vicious, monstrous rpws who had killed and would kill again. dallon
drew them in with his pretty eyes and fake giggles, and brendon
killed them, reaping their souls and allowing them to repent.
nowadays, they're still reaping together, although now they prefer
the more neutral terms of roommates, and best friends.
they're confidants; partners in crime, a dynamic duo - never to be
split.. or until death do they part.

why do i want him? ; as soon as i saw his design, i fell
in love and gained a connection almost instantly. his design is
immaculate, and i've become incredibly comfortable with drawing
it now [i mean, i have drawn it multiple times!] and i really enjoy
drawing it up.
as a transboy myself, i found it important to create a character i
could connect to. a lot of the traits and quirks i gave dallon are ones
i have myself; it's true, i do say tbh in casual conversation, and i do
reference memes too often. they're traits i'm fond of, and i'm very fond
of dallon, trust me.
after trying out for brendon at the same time, i decided i would try and
make them have a friendship. initially, i was going for a romantic
relationship, however after thinking it over i decided against it, and that
the two would instead be best friends. their friendship is heavily inspired
by the bond i share with my own best friend ryan; we've been friends since
i had a similar.. incident [although i didn't nearly die, and they didn't end up
being a grim reaper] and living out the bond we have through these characters
was a joint effort; i texted them about it a lot and they helped me to create
brendon's character and develop his bond with dallon.

if i won him, you can definitely be assured that he would be loved. he's such
a beautiful boy and i wouldn't trade him for the world - or any other rpw, for
that matter. i understand my form might not be as flashy as the others you might
have seen through your time while judging, but i've poured my heart into it, and i
am determined to show how much i love dallon and want him. i didn't exactly have
much time for art due to exams going on, but once exams are over, in the occassion
that i win him, he will be smothered in art, and love.

in the event that i don't win him, the winner may keep all my art; however i would
prefer if i was credited justly, and that it wasn't used offsite without linking to my
