personality: Rúrí can be a little difficult to
handle. Feeling unwanted and rejected, Roo
can appear to be a sullen, withdrawn creature, who
lashes out when under pressure and appears to want
to be left alone. Sometimes, in his weaker moments,
the young brute appears a little lost in life - without
guidance from his father or any particular care from
his mother, and no potential adopters to speak of, the
beginnings of his life were almost wildly lonely, and
Rúrí is more than a little bitter for such a young dog.
Once given the time, attention, and patience he needs,
though, Rúrí softens a little. Dog sports - with his big
frame and powerful hindquarters, he was born for them
- can help him settle, and he has just the right mixture
of intelligence and energy for agility. Roobear is almost
goofy when he feels secure and content (and most importantly,
loved), and has a serious soft spot for toys of all kinds,
most of all stuffed animals. He interacts politely with the
horses he lives with, and is friendly at least with the other
dogs, even if he hasn't quite let them into his heart quite
yet.

Aphrodite is a very high maintenance pup, and comes off as very conceded when you first get to know her. She tends to be cruel and cynical, especially if you've gotten on her bad side. However, beneath that cold demeanor, hides a caring and sweet fae. One who's loyal and trusting, one who doesn't care about flaws because she has tons of her own. No one knows why Aphrodite is so bitter when you first stumble across her path, and not many people have stood with the snappy fae enough to get to know the diamond that's hidden away beneath a mass of long hair and demeaning attitude.

Aphrodite was born a mix-breed, which is terrible in the show dog world. Even if her parents were two well respected breeds, she would never be able to jump into the show ring and bring her owner ribbons like her mother could, she would never be able to show off her agility and compete in trails like her father. All because there is rules, and she breaks one of them, she's not a purebred. Which meant not many people wanted her, even if she was a beauty. Day by day, she would watch as people came by and adopted purebred dogs, no one noticing the five pups that weren't up to code. The days stretched by, until finally someone had adopted the young fae, however the place that was supposed to be her forever home didn't last more then a few months.

• personality: Though Junior is still fairly new we got a bit of knowledge about him from the house keeper and found he's rather different than expected. He doesn't seem to have high energy (or well, the house keeper said he was rather hyper in his younger months but he generally calmed down) yet he does have the average 'man's best friend' attitude. So we've just watched him for a bit and slowly put pieces of the puzzle together.

--- Junior is a mostly calm and collected dog.. which is almost strange to see considering he's still a pup. He has never tried to jump on new people, instead he stands and will just wag his tail in the slightest as a greeting. We guess he got this behavior when he was living in the main house and he was just sorta.. isolated and kept under control ? We aren't sure if someone perhaps broke him out of jumping but it's definitely a possibility in our minds. This manner also shows through with other dogs unless the other dog is threatening to him.. although its highly rare he'll wag his tail for other dogs, as mostly he's in a tense stance bristling and/or holding his tail up despite it's curlyness. He's just a bit more cautious around new dogs rather new people.

--- We have decided that yes, he wants to be dominant in most situations (and this was because he is not used to being around other dogs, he wasn't around his siblings for too long before being taken away and being raised at the main house for awhile must've put a toll on his.. openness ?) but thats mostly because he just wants some kind of respect from you to him. When he gets his desire he'll leave you alone, though same goes for humans in a different way. For humans he just wants some kind of acknowledgement and for them to just.. not pet him really. After that he'll go lay down in his own comfy corner.

--- But if you don't fulfill what he wants he'll pester you for it, rub up against you like a cat would, lick you constantly, all of that. Just for that acknowledgment. For dogs he'll just be super aggressive and tense until they submit. After they submit, depending on how the dog was before, he'd let them just go lay down as he'd do the same. His own return of respect to humans is listening and being an obedient dog, for other dogs its giving them a freedom in his kennels. It's a win win situation if everyone cooperates appropriately in the actual situation at hand. Moral of the story, just fill his needs so he's good.

--- Though Junior does have his faultiness.. and that's if he spots damage/weakness/something bad in a thing, he'll (try to) take advantage of it. He tries to take an advantage of Rin's disability (his blindness) and though he can't seem to do it he tries anyway. If there's a hole in his cage's fencing he'd use that to his advantage somehow. Though he might be one of the most calm and obedient dog you've ever seen, he is definitely one of the most sly. He seems to be able to find a fault in most things and he just.. uses them. Since Teddy seems to be fearful of him he just stands up and keeps a straight stance when the other comes around if he doesn't want Ted to mess with him. Sometimes it is challenging for him to find a weakness and sometimes not.

--- Junior also judges heavily on first appearances ? What you do at their meeting could send you onto good or bad terms with Junior. He doesn't know much about words but if he did 'don't judge another person's choices without knowing the person' wouldn't be a thing in his mind. Humans don't really fall under this heavy judging to Junior as he can't really snap at them due to his knowledge that humans are strange upright creatures that change over time so ? But as for dogs, he has his tense greeting stance and depending on how the other dog reacts he throws them under a submissive or fighter category per se. Though yes a miracle might happen and he could shift attitudes towards you though its.. rare. If another dog started submitting to him after refusing to do so many times he just calms, doesn't mean he's not weary around that dog, though he isn't too aggressive.



• relationships: Since Junior came to the kennels he's met the other two dogs and seems to have developed some kind of emotion for him. Though we don't know what a dog may think of another we simply observe behavior and watch while waiting for dogs to talk. He's sorta on bad terms with Rin and Teddy seems to just be.. too hyper for him. Frankly, we don't think he will be changing opinions for either dogs anytime soon.. same goes for dogs outside the kennel. Junior judges mostly on first appearances it seems so ? It would be hard to sway his thoughts we guess.

--- Rin: At first meeting both dogs had their hackles raised; at first we though Rin was just a bit alarmed since he couldn't see the new dog and it was confusing but we later concluded he was just plain out uncomfortable with Junior. Junior at once showed his own 'power' side, wanting to be in control over the other dog. Having both on leases we tried to let them just.. meet each other but Junior lashed out and starting nipping at Rin's ears and muzzle, wanting submission that he never got. Rin snapped right back and we had to separate the two rather quickly. Everyone in the Kennel's already knew that Rin was the dominant dog of the kennels, though Junior didn't seem to get that idea. We tried countless times with both dogs on leashes; we went from normal collars to chokers and still nothing positive resulted from any of our attempts. Mind you, we weren't surprised at Junior's alpha-dog behavior as he naturally had that though we didn't really get why he hadn't realized yet that he wouldn't be getting a top slot anytime soon.. we just assumed Junior might've realized Rin had a disability of some sort and was trying to take advantage of that though that was simply an assumption. We concluded that we'd just keep these two separated and made sure they were put under supervision.

--- Ted: Teddy didn't have as rough as a start with Junior as Rin did, he was excited and happy to see a new dog and when Junior was presented to him he didn't seem as.. unsettled with Ted. He didn't really have his hackles raised and when he did give a low warning snap to Ted Ted just rolled over on his back in a simple submissive position.. and Junior was all good with that. It wasn't until Ted started to really jump around in a playful manner and accidentally bounce into Junior a few times that Junior started to get into a tense state. We had already taken Teddy off of the leash; both dogs were off the leash but on a last string Junior charged at Teddy and had the pup down on the ground. He didn't bite hard enough anywhere to hurt Ted though he definitely gave him a scare. After he got off of Ted after a bit he was all good again.. just sitting around and being a lax Junior. Flash forward just a bit there were indeed more small tussles over Teddy getting too hyped up and Junior just snapping but he never really hurt Ted and Ted, after a few times of being pinned, took the hint and generally learned how to keep a.. calm and cautious manner around Junior. Overall, they don't need to be watched, Junior is mostly good with Ted, so these two are on a good companion level. For a most part.

--- Jasp: Jasper was from a neighboring kennels and Junior met him when Jasper was coming to meet Teddy for a future breeding. Junior and him were both outside at the time and they just sorta got that look before tails were being held up high and hackles were raised. We tried to sorta keep Jasper away behind his own keeper but Junior just bypassed the keeper and ran at Jasper before getting choked and held back by his lead.. though Jasper didn't help much by snapping and tugging at his own leash. They had just been a few inches away from biting each other's noses off which prevented us from talking with Jasper's own keeper; so we locked Junior up in his own kennel and just talked there. Jasper was let off of his own leash to run around and the first thing he started doing was urinating on the cage poles of each kennel, seemingly taking his precious time with marking Junior's kennel which really pressed the other dog's buttons. In the end he came back and sat down beside his kennel's keeper, tongue hanging out and tail wagging slightly while he stared up at us as he watched us talk. We tried to let these two meet again and it went bad so we did Jasper like we did Rin; just kept the two separated and under close supervision. We often try to keep Junior out of his kennel and away from Jasper when the other dog is around, to eliminate any ideas that Jasper gets more freedom than Junior himself. Fun relationship gosh...

--- Hach: Hachi was one of the few dogs Junior actually wagged his tail at for first meetings. Maybe it was the fact Hachi crouched right when Junior walked over, as he also made no real aggressive advances. The fact he wasn't as hyper as Teddy was probably what put Junior most at ease. Hachi simply sat down and made no mockery of Junior and just let Junior be the dominant dog. This all happening Junior didn't do much.. he got what he wanted from Hachi so he sat down and left the other dog alone. They both just keep to their self for most part and if their paths really cross Hachi just gets in some kind of submissive position and Junior leaves the other dog alone. We don't really need to watch them at all. It's almost like Junior and Teddy though we don't need to worry about another dog getting pinned down. For once Junior has a real easy-going relationship.. as well as they both seem to give each other what they want; some kind of respect. Junior does dip down sometimes and give Hachi a lick on the head to tell him everything's just good between them and he can be him. Its an equal respect really. Hach gives Junior the dominant feeling he wants and Junior just lets Hachi be, leaves him alone and just let him do as he pleases since he gets what he desires. Make sense ? Okay.



• preferences: All things living have some kind of preference.. or should. This is something that defines a persons comfort and.. what you could do to make someone feel at ease. Dog's have their own personal wants and stuff and out of most dogs Junior isn't too picky with what goes down around him.. although there are a few things he digs more than others and this is where you can find out about all that stuff. Take your time and learn something.

--- • Things need to be neat: As picky as it sounds Junior always wants things to be straight and just tidy.. he doesn't like toys everywhere, especially not lego building blocks, and he just sorta wants room to walk around. This is basically just saying he wants a spacey environment.. he always needs a place to sleep or lay down and relax. This doesn't mean you need a huge mansion with sky high ceilings to please him though if he doesn't receive this space and neatness he will be fidgety and won't find a way to settle down. A way to make sure he's good with your area is just to pick up any small toys or objects and be sure no blankets, pillows or anything is on the floor.. and if you have an open center area with a rug down it'll please him and he'll probably lay right down on your rug. Forewarning that he sheds a lot. But yeah ? Just be sure nothings on the ground and that its neat.

--- • The AC needs to be on: Exactly. With all of his thick fur he likes things to be cool where he is; which is why he has a fan outside of his own kennel. His fur is much like a blanket to him and if anything it really helps him sleep or relax better if he has some kind of cold air blasting on him and making him feel warmer. Its like cuddling up under a blanket while you have some kind of cold air blowing on you. It's a strange and yet welcomed and homely feeling to Junior. Besides, Junior does easily overheat if you aren't careful as his spots do get a fair bit of attention from the sun directly so.. he just likes his environment to be more cold than warm. This is much preferred for his own comfort and safety even, so just keep everything breezy.

--- • You there shut your yap: Calm and quiet, calm and quiet, thats all you seem to get to hear out of this form. Must I explain this one ? He doesn't like kids running about yelling, he doesn't like loud noises, he doesn't like people moving around a lot, Junior just wants a nice and peaceful environment. Light some scented candles and play some instrumental covers of classical songs, just relax. He gets rather confused when things are loud and all over the place and confusion means he could snap at someone due to his mind being mixed so. Just make sure things are simple when he's around. It's advised to not bring small children, thirteen and under, around him or be cleaning and blasting music as.. he could get confused and just don't do it. Okay ?



• interesting quirks/habits: Everyone has a few special somethings that separate them from a sea of unoriginal things. It makes a character a unique individual. Junior in this case has.. quite a few different things about him and though they are nothing big they are definitely something new.

--- • Tilts his head when people are talking: Honestly unless he's zoned out and laying down or majorly distracted he will come up and sit down in front of two people conversing and tilt his head, trying to understand what they're saying. It's quite weird and distracting almost to have a massive dog just watch you talking but it's.. sorta neat to know he tries to understand English ? If something is directly said to him he'll make sure to do something after you're done speaking whether it be prancing around slightly or something.. he just wants to prove that he gets you were speaking towards him somehow no matter what. This is something he learned to do.. as a puppy he picked this up, always intently listening to any human at all. This was not something that came to him accidentally. We have concluded that this is the most weirdest, interesting and only good quirk that Junior has.

--- • Rubs and licks people like a cat almost: It's if he wants attention or something that he does this. He never licks people usually.. mostly just rubs up against them. Now this would all be an a okay quirk though he does it so much and he has long fur so fur gets everywhere and its sorta just a huge mess sadly. He gets quite annoying with this after awhile and ends up making the person he's rubbing on quite upset.. though this was a natural habit. He has his high energy like any other dog of his mixed breed and though he doesn't enter any competitions he has to use this energy up on something.. why not annoy other people with it ? This is singularly one of his most bothersome and annoying quirks, no doubt, and he doesn't want to stop.

--- • Chews on his back when he's anxious: Flat out this is his worst trait, in all negative manners. This was no learned trait as it went from chewing on multiple items to chewing on his nails to chewing on his own back. Though it was not an instantly noticed quirk he made it through all of his before stages and stress pushed him to this. After multiple flea check-ups we found nothing on him and after some observing caught him gnawing himself hairless and raw. We have tried treatments to get him out of this habit yet nothing has worked so far.. as well as gnawing on his back he also loses appetite which is quite worrying for all of us. Though now that we have learned that when he is anxious or nervous he does this we.. try to keep the stress low on him to try and prevent him from eating himself and yet our attempts are slowly starting to fall behind and we're sorta doin' bad.

--- • Hates being touched by anyone/thing: One of his other worst traits. This was actually something that showed up in his systems as he aged up from five months; when he was a wee pup he loved to be pat and now he despises it. We have guessed that it's most likely because he doesn't like his fur being messed with and that children, little children before, would pull on his long hairs and hurt him. He usually doesn't snap or even growl yet he does get up and move away from you even if you try to touch him, no matter how comfy. It took weeks, months maybe, before he was even slightly comfortable with us man handling him. Even now he seems to keep his head lowered on a chain and always just stares us in the eyes with his pale blue ones when we pat his side in a praising manner. Its quite obvious that he won't get rid of this quirk ever, his trust for being touched has truly vanished. The only time he is truly okay with any physical contact is when he is rubbing up against someone, when he is doing all the physical touching.

--- • Is very picky when it comes to any food: Aha this is a picky dog when it comes to food brands.. we aren't sure if he's just picky and wanting something different from the other dogs or he is just really judging in taste. We assume the latter. Allergies aren't in the picture as he doesn't have any issues with eating the food.. just he has a tiny variety out of all of the dog food brands. This was not a learned habit or quirk and he has been dealing with this since he started eating hard food. There is no way we can change his tastes speaking honestly so we let him be as he is with no problem.. besides the idea we spend countless coins on him trying to find a brand he enjoys.. though he seems pretty settled with his current provider. So. Problem fin.




Junior, to start off, was never really Junior. His previous owner (keeper of the bearing Mudi) had no set name for him as they simply called him 'runt', though it was quite improper as he was not a runt in any way shape or form. He was born as a scruffy, long furred rowdy bundle of fur and yet his paws were quite large, proving what future size he would be growing into. He liked to hop about and just investigate honestly, he was the all-curious puppy.. though he would usually rely on his own paths. He would stray away from his small amount of other siblings and would almost never follow them around in the large yard he was provided with. He wasn't exactly always solitary, just it seemed he liked to keep to himself and didn't like being surrounded by his fuzz-ball siblings. Like said though, he wasn't always solitary.. it just depended per se. Either way though, he loved getting pats from people at this age, he would sit in your lap if it meant you'd stroke his back while he's sitting. He was a loving little puppy honestly. He still is if you look at him closely. He wasn't pushed around by his siblings either; all of them got along. He never would pick on his runt sibling, nobody would. The family was almost close knit ? Junior did hold his head higher and all the pups knew his ticks and we could assume this is why he is so dominant but.. going on. He was a well cared for pup overall, he got loved on and everything.

He trotted around the yard, sniffing the air, ground, whatever his nose could reach he sniffed. It was a summery-autumn day and he.. was just out in the yard. His siblings were aways away, on the whole other side of the yard digging. Dad already told them to not dig at the ground ! When they would come inside all muddy and wet from the damp dirt their papa would stand up and scold them with those eyes.. papa was scary, but loving. He would scold them as needed and yet there were those times he'd pop outside to play with them and pull them away from the multiple digging spots his siblings had. Turning his head up to the sky he almost yapped out loud at the drop of water that hit his nose; he hadn't paid any mind to the growing dark clouds up in the sky ! His siblings had alreayd darted in to the open door; he was the last pup out here. Turning up on his back feet he hopped awkwardly over, feeling rain start to pat his back like his owners would do ever so often when he was laying in their laps..

Flash forward and he was old enough to leave his bearers home. To move on. Well, he didn't move far.. only to the main headquarters of the Belgian Kelpie species. He was a beautiful pup, one of the few that had been promised to be returned to the sires species. No matter how pretty he was, his attracting looks could not hide the fact he was indeed a crossbreed. It was almost sad to see such a dog not be allowed in main shows. Of course, his family ties also affected how much he was given away for and what kind of interest lied in him. Many people passed over him when looking for a new dog, wanting a main show dog. Being left uncared for emotionally by everyone just.. gave him cautious stance. He hadn't gotten real proper love where he stayed in the HQ's, as they had many other dogs to attend to as well, but sooner or later Whiterun interested in him and took him at once. It was shamed, looked upon almost, that there was a crossbreed in the kennels but.. we weren't show kennels really. We had a single show dog and he was acing his contests so.. we weren't bothered with getting disowned. He was a lovely dog in our kennels and we didn't need any other opinions.

He's a great dog; and that is as much as we can say in words for him. It wasn't soon before we decided he wouldn't be doing any kind of competition and that he would stay at the house and serve as a simple guard dog. That's all we really know about with his past before us. He hasn't stayed with us long but we are hoping he has a forever home.
