I hold diabolo at her place, but moved the same time when rose moved knight. i didn't want to put any more pressure on the rope then needed. Otherwise it could happen that he will go against the lead rope in the future and the consequence would be a horse that would go against the reins. "I don't want to break his spirit, far away from that, i just don't want him to hurt us", i said and looked at the sharp horn on his forhead. "i would like to put something around his horn for the start, so that he can't pierce us or the horses, but it would be incredible dangerous to get near his head", i mentioned. Rose called her sister and i moved around the stallion a little bit, just to see if he will start to go at knight again, the moment the rope got a little loose. But he just stood there, staring in turns to knight and diabolo. It seemed like he calmed down again and his quiet unicorn behavior got him back.
"you wanted a stallion and now you have one, i wish you good luck in taming this little boy", i said while looking at him with a soft smile. He was a real beauty and for a tharkja stallion he had a good character, wild but not immensely aggressive. His attack against knight was a normal behavior for a wild stallion. "i will try to move a little bit nearer to him, diabolo should help me getting near him, she is still a mare, maybe i can get a little cloth around his horn, just to be sure." Diabolo stepped nearer to the stallion. He looked at her and then he lowered his head to put his nose against hers, taking a smell at her scent. I needed to be quick, before diabolo or the stallion begins flinching. I wraped a little bit of cloth around the tip of his horn, he was so busy with diabolo that it seemed like he didn't even recognised it. Diabolo flinched back a little and letted out a high pitched whinny, great... was she in heat?
"But no mounting while i'm on her back boy", the moment he heard my voice he pulled his head into the air and looked at me in irritation. "Man... seeing a girl and your brain moves to another place?", i said in a soft, laughing tone, then i moved diabolo back again. Seeing the stallion following after me. "Oh my... i think i have a problem here. But a positive fact: it will be easyer to take him back. the negative fact: i must try to prevent him from mounting that girl while i'm still on her back". But i nodded at roses words, time to take this guy back with us. she leaded with knight and i moved diabolo between knight and the stallion, to distract him from the other stallion.

As we neared home, Knight got much preppier, happy to get some rest after the trip. When we got home, we set the stallion loose in a large, empty pasture, to let off some steam. The stallion was a bit confused, but after the gate was closed and Knight was let loose on the other side of the stable, he darted off toward the center, curious about the shelter and troughs. He kicked at them, to see what they were. When water splashed on him, he reared up, and then took a little sip. I stood on the lower rail of the fence, watching my new unicorn run around and explore. I let him be for an hour or so, to let him adjust a little to his new home. When I came back to see him, he was back by the gate sniffing around. He gave me a bit of a look as I approached, a bit scared and a bit curious about me. I let him sniff my hand, and he ran the other direction afterward. It was understandable, he was in a new place, and I brought him here. He would be nervous. I went ahead and looked at my halters, picking out a deep red rope halter I use for wild horses received from BLM. It was the best way to get strong horses around the stable easily, as much as I didn't like to use them. After Shadow learned to respond better, his halter would be changed to a nylon halter. I picked out a song I liked, using the title as his new Show Name: The Kids In The Dark by All Time Low, and that song became his theme song. I set the halter on the fence, letting him get used to it, and let him see it before I'd put it on him the next day. I checked on him every now and then, just to be sure that he was okay. I set my helmet on the fence with the halter, so he'd get used to my scent a bit more.

They way back was and easy one. The stallion behaved himself and the weather stayed calm and sunny. i helped rose putting the stallion into the pasture, then i took care of Diabolo. We were soon done and i leaded my mare to the meadow, watching her welcoming her friends and playing a little bit. Then she settled down and began to browse on the grass.
I soon decided me to take a look on the stallion, it was the best to watch a new horse a little bit to see if it acclimatized itself and that it wont get hurt. I was sure rose would be at his side and looking after him, so i wasn't worried, she would call me if the stallion would behave strange or uneasy.
I came to the pasture and saw her looking after her new stallion. It seemed like he was still a bit shy, a normal reaction after all what he got through the last hours and considering the new environment. he would need some days till he would settle down to a grade were he wouldn't be on a raised stresslevel anymore. Till then it could help him to make positive impression and the best impression would be food and peace. The first one was already there and he could nibble at the hay anytime, the other point shouldn't be a problem too.
I came back here and there, registering the halter and helmet at the unicorns fence. It was a good idea, he would connect her scent with the calm enviroment, it would help that she could get near him the next time. But this should be all for today.

The next day i got eraly out of the house and helped out in the barn. The stallion was calm on his pasture, nothing to worry about. I was curious what Rose would try with him today.

The next day, I woke early and fed the underweight rescues, then walked to the unicorn's pasture. He had the halter knocked off the fence post, suggesting he'd messed with it. I had focused on gaining his trust and working on halter manners to make him easier to catch and desensitize for the next day. I got a strong cotton lead and my gloves from one of the tack rooms, because I knew he'd more than likely pull on the lead. I got the halter and opened the gate, closing it back slowly behind me. The stallion was still pretty shy, but he was more used to me, so he didn't run. I let him see the halter before sliding it over his nose. He threw his head up, but I managed to knot it and connect the lead. I talked to Shadow, keeping him calm so he wouldn't try to bolt or rear up. "Easy boy, come on." I said in a quiet, relaxed tone. I walked him to the corral, and Shadow pulled and resisted a little along the way. I took the lead off and let Shadow run around me in the corral. Knight kept watch, in case the unicorn tried to attack. Shadow cantered around me nervously and twitched his ears as he moved. He slowed down to a trot after a few minutes, and looked at me a little more with curiosity. He stopped as he was clearly getting a bit tired, and turned away from me, occasionally looking at me. I turned my back to him, keeping very relaxed, with my head down and hands behind me. Shadow came up behind me and sniffed my hands. I turned toward him, letting him keep his nose in my hands. I pet his face, being very light with my touch. I wasn't expecting to gain his trust so quickly, but he'd gotten used to my scent overnight, so he was a little bit more used to me already. He was still partially wild, as his face was as much as he'd let me touch. "Can someone get me a medium and large dark red nylon halter, please?" I asked loudly. I wasn't sure of his exact halter size, so I wanted the two sizes I believed would fit best. Once the halters were handed to me over the fence, I put on the large halter over his rope halter. I passed the lead through the rope halter and connected it to the nylon halter. I clucked to him and pulled on the lead until he moved forward. After he took a few steps, I pet him as a reward and released all pressure. I then pulled on his halters again and clucked for him to turn left, not releasing pressure until he turned. I again rewarded him once he gave in. I did the same thing with his right. I then pushed back on his nose and chest while clucking, asking him to back up. When he gave in, I gave him lots of praise and took the nylon halter off, leading Shadow back to his pasture with the rope halter. I once again gave him praise and let him loose. I put his halter back on the fence to remember that it was the one to be used on him.

I went out the next day to catch Shadow, whom was by the fence. I caught him with the nylon halter and lead him to the corral. I decided to get an English saddle for the stallion. Today I planned on saddle breaking him. I knew I had my work cut out for me, but nonetheless I was excited. I grabbed a large bridle and an all purpose saddle, along with a dark red saddle blanket. I set it on the fence, and got a lunge whip. I wanted to take the path of desensitizing training. I let him smell and mess with the whip so he'd get used to it. After he'd messed with it for about five minutes, I started to rub his face with it. I then moved down to his neck, tossing the whip over his neck and rubbing it against him. He was a bit jumpy, but tolerated it as I moved on toward his back. He was a bit unsure of it, and twitched his ears, but stood still. I did the same thing on his legs, and then got the saddle pad, holding it up for him to see. I let him smell it and get used to it, and then I rubbed it on his side to prove it wouldn't hurt him, before tossing it on his back. He moved around a little and pinned his ears, but tolerated. I then got the saddle and let him smell it. I tossed it up onto his back, tightened the girth to wear the saddle wouldn't fall off, and got out of the corral to let him get used to the saddle. He galloped around, throwing a few bucks and rears here and there, but after a good ten minutes he calmed down. I went back into the corral and put on a bridle loosely, and took off the reins. He played around with the bit and threw his head up several times, but calmed down once again. I tightened the bridle up and put his halter on over it. I connected the lead and lunged him around to get used to the tack. He was still a bit unsure of the tack, but he put up with it. "Good boy Shadow. Walk!" I clicked, pointing in the direction I wanted to send him in. He listened, but he twitched his ears a lot. It was understandable, he'd never had tack on, and he wasn't sure what to make of this situation. I clicked again and he picked up a trot. It was beautiful and graceful, even for a wild horse. He stopped for a rest and licked his lips, starting to relax. "There you go! Good boy, Shadow!" I said, rubbing on his face. I took the tack off and led him back out to the pasture. Tomorrow I was going to train him, so I finished up feeding early and got stuff ready.

I woke up the next day and grabbed Shadow's tack, along with my helmet and gloves. I set down the tack on the corral fence and walked to Shadow's pasture. I put on his halter and led him to the corral. I tacked him up, stroking and rewarding him for standing still. Today I was planning on adding weight, and tomorrow, working toward riding aids. If he did well, I would do both today, but adding weight to a once wild horse is tricky, as they tend to think they're in danger. I started by just pressing down on the stirrups with my hand. He was curious, but stayed calm. I got a mounting block, so I could easily out weight on him without getting completely in the saddle. I got up onto the mounting block and pushed down on his back lightly. He twitched his ears and stepped sideways, but didn't have too bad of a reaction. I put more weight on his back, and he moved a little, this time biting at the air. I backed off and went back to where he was more comfortable. This time, he stood still. I added more weight again, and he was unsure, but still cooperative. I pet him as a reward, then mounted up into the saddle. He twitched and moved around a little, but didn't do anything worrisome. I let him run around a little, as I knew he was getting used to me being on him. He was very unsure of what to do. I pet him and grabbed some of his mane, in case he decided to bolt or rear up. He calmed down and came to a halt. "Good boy! Now, walk." I said, clicking and slightly squeezing his sides. He walked, his ears still twitching. He swished his tail a lot, and occasionally side-stepped, but still behaved well. I pet his neck softly and asked him to trot. He was skeptical at first, but picked up a trot. I pulled back on the reins gently and talked to him, asking him to go back into a walk. "Woah, walk. Easy, Shadow." After we worked on aid for about half-an-hour, he learned a bit and I dismounted, patting him and rubbing on him. "Good boy Shadow!" I said enthusiastically. After a few days, he was doing well, and responded to the bit. I wanted to train him a bit further, and decided to teach him to jump. I started by working him over cavaletti poles at a trot, to get him to step higher. He did well, after smelling them and learning that they were harmless. After a couple more days, I worked him over a small jump. At first, he jumped a bit awkwardly and hit the poles with his hind hooves, but he learned when to takeoff and did well afterward. I rode him on trails, to teach him a bit more.

(Hope this isn't too late, my internet crashed *-* the last quest will be posted right after this)
