Extras:
Song (10%): Two Steps From Hell - Color The Sky

Likes (10%) : Mares, apples, hay, grass, a select few people, most animals, reptiles, birds, the smell of citrus fruits, tree bark, music, sounds of water

Dislikes (included with likes for 10%) : Stallions, carrots, sugar lumps/cubes, oats, cats, thunderstorms

Personality (10%) : She’s an extremely curious mare by nature, inclined to stick her nose where it doesn’t belong. Serene is a real sweetie, always ready to at least try meeting someone new before turning her nose up at them. Always extremely bright and upbeat, nothing ever seems to get her down. Serene is highly intelligent, there aren’t many who pull one over on her.

Backstory (20%) : Serene came into world during a vicious storm but while it raged on around her and her mother. The tiny Celestial remained perfectly calm and simply huddled close to the warm body that had given her life. When the dawn came and the storm died, the grand mare

Her foalhood was uneventful of trauma or tragedy. She lived quite happily alongside her mother and the other mares of the small herd.

Life was quiet in the crater, with the occasional appearance of a strange creature atop of a horse. Other than that nothing really ever happened, so Serene grew in quiet happiness. Avoiding the territorial stallions and playing with the foals as they grew unafraid of other Tharkja mares.

Merely living her life until one day the strange being brought another up to the crater with her. Serene had watched as they communicated with their strange sounds and had snuck toward the forests edge to get a better look at the odd creatures and their horses. The Celestial had not been impressed with the stallion but the raven black mare had drawn her attention and held it. With gentle motions and kind gestures, the other mare had brought the Tharkja out of the forest and into the open. While the odd creature on her back made strange quiet sounds that strangely eased the nerves of Serene.

Future Story (15%) : I stood watching the beautiful form of Serene, my Celestial Tharkja, as she interacted with some of my other equines. The ever watchful form of Diabolo by her side as always. The two of them had been constant, almost instantly from their first meeting up in the crater.

I hummed a tune to myself and hopped up onto the fence resting my feet on one of the lower sections before resuming my watch of the horses. Serene cautiously investigated the shortest of my Tekes, Duriel, the 13 hands stallion having to stretch slightly to snuffle at the Celestial mare.

The two seemed quite content within the presence of one another so I merely remained where I was and turned my gaze skyward. It must have been some time since the sky had caught my attention as I felt something warm and heavy come to rest atop my legs. I blinked and looked down seeing beautiful green eyes gazing up at me. I ran my fingers down the beautiful sable coated face that came with those eyes, making sure to be mindful of the two horns that sat in the middle of her face.

Serene had become increasingly proficient at dressage and I had hopes on entering her in one of the local shows. It was a good thing that organisers had gotten used to me bringing these strange and exotic equines to the shows they often held.

“Hello pretty lady and how are you finding this day so far?” I asked calmly. Serene didn’t respond other than lipping at my fingers as they came to rest in front of her mouth. “As good as that eh?” I laughed in response and slid my arms around her neck to hug the gentle mare.

It wasn’t long before a familiar black form trotted her way up to the fence and joined in the hugging and affection.

Preparations

Postby Queen Vivane » Sat Oct 10, 2015 8:23 pm

I thoughtfully tapped my chin as I ran over the list of things I thought I'd need on my adventure to locate a Tharkja to catch and tame.

"Let's see, a small bag of various dried meats, a bottle of water, a note book and pencil, good strong boots, various tasty things to use as bait annnd" I trailed off with a sigh. "Now I can't think of anything else I might need" I grumbled and scraped my dark hair back into a messy ponytail before plopping the various things I'd listed other than the boots into the rucksack I'd grabbed.

Turning to the warden I decided to ask her, see if she had any good ideas for necessary things or even common Tharkja locations.

"Any ideas on other things I may possibly need and the best place to locate a TPH?" I asked her with a smile.

i studied the map, red circles showing the Tharkja herds and red points showing sightings of rare breeds. Not that i think i would find some in these locations, but it would be the best chances to begin there. The new customer hopes to find a rare one, this will be hard, but maybe we can manage it. Not that i know how to tame a celestial or even a demon, but let's try.

The question interrupted my thoughts and i looked up. "I think the first day will only result in searching for this little fellow. it will be hard to locate the one you are hoping for. but we can try to approach some herds, maybe we can find one that you like. We will head out in the morning and go back as soon as it gets dark. It is to dangerous to stay in the crater after the sun sets. so your current preparations should be enough for the first try. But don't forget to bring a rope and some good cloves with you."
I searched in my equipment and dugged out a pair of walky-talkys. "We should try to stay in contact, cell phones will not have connections, but these little friends should be enough for the task", i handed one over to her.

"Then, let's head over to the barns. Our horses are a tough breed, they know the rugged path and we will be quicker with them. and the best point: approaching a Tharkja herd with a wild stallion by foot would be suicide."

Set out

Postby Queen Vivane » Sun Oct 11, 2015 4:00 am

"All the best things take time, if we found one on the first day I'd consider it to be some strange sort of magic, either that or my luck is being bent. Great! Though I think my bait may end up as tasty treats for our trusty horses" I replied with a quiet laugh.

I quite happily took the walkie talkie she handed me and stuck it into the breast pocket of my jacket. Then I began to rummage around for my riding gloves, they would do the job nicely. I located them after a few moments and quickly tucked them into my pocket before going in search of some rope. It evaded me for several minutes before I found it lurking under a pile of rugs, I hung it over my shoulder and followed on after the warden as she lead the way to the barns. I left my backpack lying against the wall before heading inside.

The building was warm in the morning sunlight and smelled of horses and hay.

"If I could go everywhere by horse, that would be the greatest thing in the world" I mumbled to myself and moved further into the barn to look for suitable horse that I could take with me. I passed by a good few stalls before a black head popped over one of the doors and began to bob instantly up and down as its owner caught sight of me. The owner was a familiar stunning black mare who whinnied loudly at me and stamped her hooves in an effort to make me hurry up.

"Alright alright, I'm going, I'm going" I laughed and sped up slightly until I stood in front of her stall. "Hello my lady, Diabolo" I said and pretended to bow to her. She seemed to be pleased by this and happily allowed me to gently scratch her neck. Leaning down I swiftly collected a few grooming essentials before setting about giving her a good groom. I steadily ran the brush over her raven black coat, cleaned her hooves and gently ran a soft brush over her face.

"Come on you, let's go get you your tack and then finish getting ready" I murmured and led the way toward the tack room, Diabolo following steadily after me. I browsed the wall for her tack and after finding it, moved out of the room to sort her out. humming quietly as I gently slipped the bit into her mouth and sorted her ears before settling the saddle on her back. Swiftly doing up the girth, I led her toward the front of the barn. The gentle sound of her hooves on the stone echoed around us and I sighed happily as we stepped out into the sunlight. I quickly grabbed my rucksack from where I'd left it and unzipped it removing the rope from its place on my shoulder and tucking it into my rucksack before closing the bag and hefting it onto my back.

Slipping my gloves on, I placed my foot into the stirrup and hopped up into the saddle. Nudging my raven colored steed forward a few steps, I moved my leg forward and tightened the girth. Happy with the result, I moved my leg back and pulled out the walkie talkie.

"Hey, I'm ready to set off when you are" I chirped into the little device and then set about doing a few last minute checks.

"Yes you're right. Even if we don't find anything, it would at least be a beautifull ride", i replied after her words. I grabbed my own bag and started to get out first. But i waited for her and then we headed to the barn together. "Oh yes, it would be great no need for cars or such things. By the way, you can use any horse you want for this ride", i answered her serious and entered the building.

My goal was a red chestnut tobiano stallion in one of the first boxes. Armageddon, despite his name he's a very friendly fellow and gets along with many of the other hoses. he waited quietly for me, as i entered his box. "Hey little boy, up for a new fight against hibari?", i joked happily and putted his halter on. He turned his white and brown head up and down, like he wanted to say: "yes!" giving me a good laugh. Then i began to groom him thoroughly and finished the task with putting the tack on his head and the saddle on his back. A little noise from my belt interrupted me and i grabbed the walkie talkie.
"I'm finished, i will be there in a minute", i answered the phone, then putted it back in the hanger.

I came out soon after the little call and lifted my hand in a silent gesture. "There we are, these two will make a good team", i said and mounted my horse. "But first: If you see hibari, please call me. I want to give this crazy monster a wide berth", i joked at her again, but i was certain she would know that this was a serious hint. "Then, let's go", i putted my own rope around the horn of the saddle and with a little change of my weight the horse moved forward in a ground-covering walk.

The answer came not soon after I finished my checks and I hummed in an unheard answer as I merely enjoyed the warm weather. The gentle sound of hooves on stone brought me out of my thoughts and I turned to face my companion with a smile. My hand raised in echo of her gesture and Diabolo nickered a greeting to the chestnut tobiano stallion as he and his rider came out into the sunlight.

"I have no doubt they'll be great together" I replied and gently reached forward to pat the raven mare's neck as she stretched slightly underneath me. "If I see him, I'll make sure to call first and then panic second" I laughed but the seriousness of her statement didn't go over my head and I filed that information away just in case it became necessary. "We'll be right behind you" I hummed happily and nudged my mare into a walk. The two of us following on after our traveling companions.

As the four of moved onward toward the trail that lead up the mountain I began to quietly hum as I looked at the surrounding area. Lush greenery that got a little more sparse directly at the base of the mountain and up on the path.

"Wow, it's so beautiful here. No wonder all the Tharja's live up in the crater. They must get truly stunning views of the sky at dawn and dusk" I breathed and promptly got a mouthful of leaves. Blinking in surprise I wrinkled my nose in disgust before spitting the greenery out much to Diabolo's amusement.

It didn't take too long for us to reach the spindly path, the two of us would truly have to ride in single file up the path. Looking at high it wound I became so glad that I was riding and not walking. Mountain climbing was not something I enjoyed.

"Here we go" I whispered. The journey up the mountain didn't take too long, certainly faster considering our horses were strong and familiar with the path under their hooves. I stared in wonder out at the land that stretched out as far as I could currently see, Diabolo and Armageddon looked to be enjoying the mountain air.

After about 15 minutes we moved up the last slope and stopped at the top.

"Woah" I gasped as I stared in wonder down into the crater. I couldn't currently see any Tharkja's but that didn't mean there weren't any around. That changed as colt with a coat of beautiful varying shades of brown charged up to the edge of the small sea and pranced about in the waves. A mare with thick white fog markings moved forward at a more sedate pace, keeping a careful eye on the colt as danced about in the water.

"Good idea", i replied after her answer and we laught together. Then we started our little adventure. The horses seems to looking forward for a good ride too. They moved in a quick pace and we reached the beginning of the mountain path soon.
"They sure get, it's a really amazing scenery, you will see soon. My only thoughts are, that they will not have enough room for to long. There are so many herds and the crater is big, but not big enough. I'm curious if they will leave this place if it get's to crowded and where they will go then.", i expressed my concerns. But after i saw her getting a little mouth full of green, i couldn't hold myself and breaked off in laughter. "Good thing they aren't poisonous".

The end of the path was the hardest part. But the horses climbed up this road as it where nothing. We slackened the reins and leaved the hard way to the horses. They knew what to do and finally we climbed over the last piece. The landscape stretched out before us in all his beauty, with his wide plains, the silent lake and the incredible forests.

I didn't comment here amazement, i was the same the first time i sawed this untouched land and i still are. My eyes looked at the colt and the mare, searching for the rest of the herd. "Let's go down, i'm sure we will be able to see more if we move over to the plains", i said and armageddon moved forward, as he would have readed my mind. We climbed down the path, the descent was easyer as the ascend.

"Hey look, isn't this Nero? Or Vivienne? They really look the same from this distance", i said and pointed out to an grazing appaloosa Tharkja. The moment we looked to it, it's head moved up and it stared back at us. Then the ears layed back and the question was answered. "Okay, it's Nero! Come, we better don't get to near", i turned armageddon and we gave the Tharkja stallion a wide berth. "His herd should be here too, but we better move to the forests, if we want to find a demon or celestial Tharkja".

Diabolo happily followed on behind her friend while I kept my eye on the mare on and colt as we moved. My gaze switched to the Appaloosa Tharkja when it was pointed out. My companion was right when said the appy mare and her father were hard to tell apart. The exact same marking pattern with the only difference being the coloration of their spots but that could easily be mixed up at a distance.

My companions question was answered when the Appaloosa lifted its head and upon catching sight of us flicked his ears back.

"We are right behind you" I replied and nudged Diabolo to follow her paint friend once more. "Wonder if we'll see a few more familiar faces as we go, even if they are unfriendly ones" I laughed and turned back to look at Nero's fading form. He had gone back to grazing but looked up every now and then to make sure we were leaving. I grinned but went back to keeping an eye where my raven black mount was going, not that she really needed my help to navigate the crater. "The forest huh, neat" I chirped and gazed at the trees that were drawing closer with every step the horses took.

The leaves were a beautiful bright healthy green and their attached branches were all healthy, no splits from what I could see. The Tharkja's were lucky to have such a nice untouched place to live. My mind drifted and I began to wonder just who lived exactly in the forest, undiscovered TPH's or ones already to those of us who cared about the species.

A pair of golden eyes peered out from amongst the trees and I squinted, trying to get a better look at just what was watching us.

"maybe we will see some more, but like with neros herd, the mares and foals often hides in the forests or the high bushes", i answered her. But it would really be nice to see some more familiar faces. I followed her line of sight and looked at nero one last time, at least for today. He sure is a beautiful stallion.
"can't wait to see what we will find in the forest. It's often a big surprise, like a lucky bag", i joked in anticipation. With every step we made, we got nearer to the forest and the trees. This was the place, where our chances to see a rare Tharkja would be the hightes.

I grazed a little leaf from the tree, its bright color showed its healthiness. No parasites could be seen. "It's the perfect place to study the nature", my voice was low, like a whisper. Then i noticed this gaze too and looked at the owner of these golden eyes. But after i looked closer, they weren't golden, it was just the light reflecting itself in it. The real color of the eyes were green and there she was, incredible with all her dignity. Her maroon colored Tail flickered and she looked at us, as if she didn't know what she should do. Her head with the curved horn on the forehead wasn't moving a inch.

"wouw... this is a sudden encounter. I hope you know how to use that rope. We must lead her out of the forest in an open area. then i will try to catch her neck with the rope and you should try the same. We will be able to catch her if we manage to capture her between our horses", i lowered my voice even more and i tryed not to startle her. It would be the best for us, if we could move around her so that we could lead her straight the way we came, out of this forest.

(the % will decide what horse you will get, but in the story we will use the best chance of horse you can get and this would be a celestial for you ^^)

Approaching

Postby Queen Vivane » Tue Oct 13, 2015 10:38 pm

I focused my gaze and slowly began to see the Tharkja who stood so still, her bright green eyes merely watching us. I slowly withdrew my rope and tucked it onto my lap. She didn't move but kept watching us.

"I'll see if Diabolo and I can't convince her to come out of the trees" I spoke to my companion

"Hey there pretty girl, how about you come out of those trees and say hello" I murmured softly to the hidden Tharkja whose ears pricked as she listened to the sound of my voice. The beautiful Celestial mare seemed unsure about what do so I started up again. "Come on now, we just want to see you more clearly, surely you could come out and investigate these 4 strangers, two strange creatures atop horses. Who could resist?" I kept my voice low and soft as I continued speaking smiling slightly as Diabolo nickered softly to the other mare. "Good girl" I breathed to the black mare beneath me while she communicated with the Tharkja.

Loosening the reins slightly I let my mount do as she wished, the black mare crept slowly forward and slowly stretched her neck out and touched her nose to the Celestial's. They stood that way for a moment and I wondered what was going through their minds, after a while my black mare slowly began to move backward. When she stopped, I watched the Celestial seem to consider everything that had happened.

"Come on sweet girl, we aren't going to hurt you" I breathed as she crept forward a little way out of the bushes, I'm she was wondering just what was going to happen next. Slowly Diablo began to back up, nickering softly every so often, I was fairly sure she was trying to convince the Tharkja to follow. For a moment the other mare remained motionless before moving at an agonizingly slow pace toward us. My mare stopped when she stood next Armageddon, leaving a space that the Celestial would fit in if she came to stand between the two friends. "I think it's working" I whispered to my companion and arranged my rope in preparation.
