Her parents died when she was still a baby, so she doesn't remember them. She lived in foster homes until she was 8, when a lovely older lesbian couple took her in and adopted her as their own. They told her to call them grandma, and she was allowed many privileges. She was happy with them for 10 years, and picked up many various quirks that the other schoolchildren found quite odd. They both passed away when she was 19, and although it was 5 years ago she thinks of them often.

Asriel loves his mother very much. He's always home to help around the house, and always helps her out after she gets home from her job. He sometimes even helps grade papers...
When he was younger, she helped him with his schoolwork, later on inspiring her to become a teacher

Asriel enjoyed his father's company when he was around. When he disappeared, Asriel was absolutely devastated, and he still hopes that his father is still alive.

Chara - Pet
Asriel absolutely ADORES his pet Rottweiler, Chara. He finds her to be adorable company, and she makes for a good companion. Now if she would stop digging up the garden...

Kodiak Camillo - Friend
Asriel and Kodiak get along well most of the time. The two enjoy talking about plants and their pets. While Kodiak does find Asriel's garden to be quite stunning, allergies prevent him from actually seeing it. Oh well, it's the thought that counts.

Asriel tends to go off on his own, oftentimes getting himself lost (both in thought and literally..). Oftentimes he has to call back home for help, but his mother doesn't mind coming to his rescue.

His father never really gave details about his job, but still tried his best to be there for Asriel until something happened one day and he never came home. After an active search for nearly three months with no sign of him, they determined that he was most likely not coming home.
