General Info
Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.
Orphan Rescue Event wrote:The story goes like this;
A human trapper had stolen many chrysaora foals and was selling them in a underground black market. A organization of people stopped him and rescued the foals, and are now trying to adopt them out. Each of the foals needs an experienced owner to love and raise them. We're counting on you, the members of the chry community, to give these babes a second chance at life.

When i had signed up to the program of saving a bunch of foals from the black market I had expected to be given one foal to care for, I had not expected taking on another one. granted it was by my own choice since even with the sheer amount of people who had signed up for the saving of the young ones there were still a lot more in need of a home and thus everyone had been allowed if they found it possible to take on one or two of those who was left so that all of them could get a home in which they could grow up and be happy. Even though I had already done what was expected form me i still felt like my duty to if needed take on another one if only just to give them an opportunity to a good life even if it meant I would have to have my stable extended. I had found myself falling for a snowcapped little foal who seemed on the more aggressive side of things as they kept lashing out and trying to bite at those coming closer to it even though from what I could see the bites was only halfhearted and seemed more like a threat than anything else. It had only been a matter of time after that that I had signed up for taking them on and then by the help of some other got the little one loaded up and transported up to my stable.
It hadn't taken all that long to get everything in order for the little one as i still had not bothered to put everything away from when Dia stayed at the stable more permanently, the only thing I had to get together again was the fence, that fenced of a section of the area outside of the actual stalls to leave them able to decide on whether to be outside or inside. I didn't even have to try and get a hold of any one of my other Chrys to keep the little one company as with how the season was changing towards winter, my Chry Down has more or less come to permanently live at the stable with his hate for pretty much everything that the winter brought with it. Even though I had originally thought he would refuse considering his character but he surprisingly seemed quite zealous over keeping the little one company which I made a quick note of to write down in my notebook.
I had left the two of them together in their combined stall and enclosure by themselves just to let the little one settle in and get comfortable with the company of down before I would fully introduce myself into the system. but that time has come and that was why I now, backpack on, was making my way down the stable, quietly glancing over the empty stalls as I went. I came to a halt before the stall put together for the two, leaning up against the door to it and looking in at the two as I put down my backpack. I hadn't really expected anyone of them to be out as it wasn't only starting to get late but also was more or less storming outside. I rested my head on my arms that I balanced on the edge of the door, quietly observing both Down who was laid down resting in one of the corners and the little one who was standing in pretty much the opposite corner picking at the straw. Their small mostly brown head had just poked up briefly to look me over as I moved before going back to what he was doing with a small snort and flicker of his ears. But I just smiled back at him, letting out a small chuckle at his antics before properly taking in his appearance. how is snowcapped body gave him a bit of softness to the otherwise strong brown colour his body consisted of and how his mane in the right light looked like flame caught in the moment, slowly moving about and a soft motion as the little one moved around.
I straightened myself up when a name came to mind for the young one, I smiled in glee before quickly coming to a stand and dropping down beside my backpack, digging out my notebook and a pen. I opened up a new blank page of the book and leaned back against the door as i started to sketch up their page, writing down what little I knew of their past on the next page over as well as some small notes on the young one's appearance, age and also deciding to call them after male pronouns until further notice. I then focused on writing down their name on the top row of the page, "When meteors come crashing down" and also scribbling down Matt as their given nickname as it would be inconvenient to call them after their full name. I smiled at the name I came up for them, finding it fitting with their appearance but also their character. I finish sketching up their page, finalizing certain details before i put the book down again and leaning back on the door more heavily. Just deciding to just keep the two company for some time rather than trying to properly gain the trust of Matt just yet.
