so i've had the robot in my saved drawings for a super long time, as in months and I decided to post it as it seems spooky enough for the halloween event <3

this contest is going to be a mini impress me. The word limit is 1500 words and the art limit is 2 pieces.
I will be judging based on character development and how well you write them as a character. There may be ru's for this, but thats unknown and depends on how many enter..

Reserving! My idea so far is that they were a vocaloid of some sort (maybe Chinese because of the red), and had the software + artificial intelligence downloaded into a robot.

"Agent Lion, you have been terminated."

I had been working for the government for four and a half years. The words of my termination continued to ring in my ears as I walked into the cafe. A latte was one of the main things that would calm me down in any terrible situation. As I ordered my drink and went to sit down, I could see another wolf moving towards the counter. Their voice stuttered as they ordered their drink, but when they handed over the money to pay for the hot beverage, the barista's expression turned into one of anger, and they began to yell at the wolf, telling them to get out. I didn't do anything. I sat and sipped at my drink. It wasn't my problem.

"Agent Lion, please hand over your pass."

The park was my next area of interest. Pulling out my headphones, I sat under a tree and began blasting my music. Unknown to me, there was another wolf on the opposite side of the tree. I heard the other wolf speaking to me, but it didn't make me budge. It's a free country, right? Through all of the loud music, I could hear the quiet tapping of keys on a keyboard. After a while, the tapping stopped. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the other wolf walk off, quite visibly angry. I didn't care about them. I wanted to listen to my music in an environment I was comfortable in. They should be in an office if they want to work.

"Agent Lion, what do you think you're doing?"

I headed home after I visited the park. I knew my bed was neatly made, and as soon as I stepped through that door, I'd be able to snuggle up and watch some television or something. As I put my hand on the door handle, I heard a loud scream from behind. I whipped my head around and saw that one of the local pups had fallen off their scooter. One of their parents had rushed to their aid. It might have been where I was standing, but it looked like the kid had broken their leg. The parent patted down their pockets, looking for a mobile to call an ambulance. I had my phone on me. That doesn't mean that I wanted to use it.

"Agent Lion!"

I never meant to hurt anyone. My dreams...my dreams were filled with nightmares that night. I could see the other agents laughing at me, telling me how I'd done wrong. I failed to hack the computer, I know. When one of them went to touch me, I fought back. I only had one weapon on me, but...well, it did the job. The room was free of laughter in no time. I had to run though. I could see red. Red. Just red. Everything became red. Their faces were blurred as I ran, feeling my heart race. I knew I had to stay undercover from now on. If the government found me now... I'd be dead.

It had been three weeks since that incident, but I hadn't been caught yet. I could feel the wind blowing through my hair. The hillside was one of my favourite places; nobody came here. Glancing up at the sky, I deducted that it was approximately 1 in the afternoon. But to be honest, it felt like time was standing still. I could hear footsteps behind me, but it didn't make me flinch. I knew who it would be; one of my only friends, Miyuki. I felt a hand on my shoulder, which made me turn around. Looking up, I could see two dark blue eyes piercing down into my own. "N...Noit..." I couldn't speak properly. Noitcelfer; my old colleague and...friend. I knew that this was my time. I knew I wouldn't be able to run forever.

"Agent Lion. Your time is up."

"So, Eleven. You've been placed here due to a..." I watched the other man look down at his notes, before raising his head and speaking again. "...murderous incident." I nodded, slowly, watching him with eagle eyes. "Okay, can you please tell me a bit about yourself?" I thought carefully before choosing my words.
"Well, my name is Eleven. I don't know my surname. I am a female with the body of an approximately 24-year-old. I can snap quickly, and I advise anyone who comes in contact with me to not speak much and essentially leave me alone. I don't like contact with other people. I was manufactured by a company for the government, so they could hack any and all systems they wanted to. I was used." My voice cracked.
"Okay, that's good. How long were you working for the government?"
"I worked there for about 5 years. I made one mistake, and they laughed. They didn't care about my feelings!" My voice rose sharply, and I stood up, clenching the table. The other man looked at me, not overly surprised at my outburst.
"You shouldn't have feelings, Eleven. You're a robot." I sat myself back down, feeling embarrassed and extremely uncomfortable. "You'll need to be restored to your factory settings."

"No."

"No? You don't have a say in it."

"No!"

I ran out quickly, letting them chase me. They might think my time was up, but to be honest...

My time was only just beginning.

----You could've sworn you'd been in a different place only a few mere moments ago. It felt similar, but it was just..not the same. The people were different too. A few of them were staring at you intently, while some of them were watching screens. Upon you stirring a couple of the oglers scurried off, prodding those watching the screens. You could hear a soft murmur of the words 'it worked' and you couldn't quite process what exactly had worked. You looked over towards the screen, and a rush of memories flooded your senses. You vaguely remembered agreeing to an experimental process in which a scan of your brain would be saved to a computer. It..it felt like just hours ago that those events had transpired. You watched as one of them approached you. He was a curious looking young man, perhaps nearing his 20s, his long hair tied carefully back into a bun, that looked neat and professional. He introduced himself to you as Maximilano, but implored that you call him Max.
"Do you remember who you are?" It was a simple question, but it took you a long time to come up with an answer.
"H-Harlow." You stammered for a moment, the name felt foreign.
"Good. How do you feel?" The question caused another pause. You had to sit and consider for a moment, and you let the gentle hum of the nearby computers help relax you and aid your thought process.
"Fine, I suppose." Your response was simple, and shouldn't have taken so much consideration, but you felt like something..something major was amiss. Max nodded quietly.
"Can you stand?" You looked at him quizzically. You just shrugged and pulled yourself to your feet. It felt much more apparent how much was wrong upon your standing.
"I feel like something's wrong." You murmured.
"To be expected," Max replied simply "We knew the first transfer was going to be difficult."
For some reason, that sentence made it click. You looked at your hands in a strange stunned awe, a mild sense of fear quickly overtaking you. You sat back down and looked around.
"I'm...still me?" You asked the question as if you feared the answer.
"Yes, you're still you, Harlow." Max reassured you, his calm, professional tone putting you at ease.
You were led around the facility by Maximilano, and he seemed content to not be doing any 'actual' work. He led you to the quarters where the researchers working there lived, and offered you one of the vacant rooms. He explained that while biologically you didn't need sleep, as a piece of technology, you'd need to recharge, similarly to how a normal person slept. He just kind of smiled softly and reassuringly, as if he wanted you to be comfortable. He left without saying much else.
You walked into the room, your legs still felt unnatural, and all of it felt mildly surreal. You sat on the edge of the bed, and stared at the blank wall.
You'd been slightly moving what little decor there was in the room, and trying to make it feel a little more cozy, before Max came back. He offered you some small little things he'd scrounged up for you to decorate the room with. His kindness was really..welcoming.
You stayed with the researchers for weeks, and you noticed a new researcher, a man whose face looked young, but eyes looked old, like they had seen much more than his young appearance suggested.His hair was long, and was tied in a loose bun, however unlike Max's bun, it rested near the bottom of his head.
Max quietly informed you that his name was Rito, and he requested that you be his assistant. You slowly walked up to the tall man and swallowed your nerves, carefully extending a hand.
"H-hello. My name's Harlow, it's nice to meet y-you." Rito smiled softly and shook your extended hand with a slightly elegant air.
"Likewise. My name's Rito." He spoke in a soft deep voice, it seemed to flow like velvet. He quietly gestured in a direction and led you off elsewhere in the facility, seeming to go where his research was being done.
You looked back towards Maximilano, who smiled at you, but his furrowed brow gave him a slightly troubled look, and it worried you.
Rito seemed quiet, and rarely asked for your actual assistance, mostly just with holding things in place, or having a double check on data.
He seemed to remind you of someone, a memory buried deep in your mind..it felt like it was before the transfer. You tried hard to remember the person, staring at Rito as you did. You felt a slight twinge of sadness, but it was nigh impossible to place. You could vaguely remember a face, but it didn't have a name.

Harlow is a very inquisitive individual, often finding themselves trying to learn how things work, and what makes people, or things, tick. They're highly adaptable, and seem to size up situations at a glance, making their observation skills seem extraordinary. Harlow as of late seems to be slowly getting better at forging relationships, but their difficulty with connecting emotionally seems to be a lingering issue from before they became what they are. They seem to be logical, but try to place logic upon their emotions as well, even when they just start feeling upset for no discernible reason.
