Are they normal animals or demons? Familiars witch-wise are demons. As in what the dictionary says.

a demon supposedly attending and obeying a witch, often said to assume the form of an animal.

Or are they familiars in this sense? You know like a friend or pet in general.

I want to try out for some of these, but I do not like demon characters, so are their animal companions normal animals or what?

Well, I didn't look at the dictionary definition when writing the rules, but I suppose they are more companions in this case >w<
So, unless a demon is specifically designed for a cat's familiar, I'm going to say they're closer to the second definition
