Halloween Kleeare #2

Postby canis, » Sat Oct 03, 2015 2:49 pm

Halloween Kleeare are a special event Kleeare. They have something unique that sets them apart from others. They may have irregular markings, an odd mutation, etc. Halloween Kleeare are breedable and have varying chances of passing whatever trait on to their foals. They each have an accompanying riddle to give a hint as to their appearance. Halloween Kleeare are judged on October 29th, and on October 30th they will all be revealed.

I light the night with my eerie glow. My wretched smile scares away even the dark.

Looks like something really carved into this stallion...

Person:It was sundown. The sky was painted vividly of oranges, purples, and pinks. The Kleeare band was just starting to stir. Sitting on the hill, looking down, you could make out the bioluminescent spots. Like a fingerprint allowing you to identify the members of the small band. The air was crisp. It was October 13,which also happened to be a Friday. As nightfall decended and the full moon rose higher into the sky, I noticed one of the mares was not with the others. I was worried about a predator attacked and killed the mare. Normally the herd occupied the area of about 10 miles. In it frequent spots of the band was the large apple tree,a medium sized pond,a field of daisies and clovers. I got up and walked over toward the area of clovers thinking maybe she was just lagging behind and had grown tired of apples. As I was walking I spooked an old mare, her daughter and the daughters newest foal. Foaling season was well over by now. The little one was fat and sassy from his mothers milk. He carried his father, the dominant stallion, blaze and dark bat color. Yet his bioluminescents were the color of his mother and grandmother. He kicked up his heels. His mother whined and the three of them were off at a canters speed. When I finally arrived in the field, I saw the mare on her side. I knew how shy these creatures were from documenting them. She was built like a fine raceing thoroughbred, her size was impressive. Her eyes were a soft yellow, mirroring a cats eye. She let a soft nicker, adknowleding my presence from afar. Her belly looked more descended then before. Maybe she ate some rhubarb. Her features were delicate and she had a beautiful dished face. Her legs were non feathered and she bore a dark bay coat. She was Kleeare # 445C Morning Song of Joy in my document book. She was 4 years old,the daughter of Wind Song, roaming stallion, and Morning Tide,a well ranked mare to the Lantern Band. It was bright due to the full moons glow. She let out a whiny of discontent, sighed, then her whole body seemed to heave. Then a small little wet and steaming foal appeared. She was pregnant? This late in the season? It was her first foal. She swung her delicate face over toward the tiny creature that had just appeared. She nuzzled and licked the foal. Who by now had opened its eyes. His firsts sights of the world must have been quite interesting. For that night everything was vivid. The first thing he saw was his mother of coarse. Her dark bay head with a blaze, the yellow cats eyes and elongated ears. The mare then rose. Time passed and the foal then struggled to stand, falling over a few times. Once he got his feet beneath him,he walked over to nurse. Looking up he saw the moon and stars twinkling. All around him his eyes drank in the muted colors of the field and the shadows all around. The mare was already back to grazing. The little foal nursed full heartedly, like it knew that the substance from its mother contained life. I looked closer at the foal. It was a stunning colt.. He had a whiskered primitive nose. Which was twitching in delight as he took in the smell of his mother and the rest of his new world. His legs were long like a cartoon character compared to his small body. He was the perfect Kleeara built foal. I quickly updated the mares info while adding him to the catalog. He was impressively feathered and his little lights were Orange. "How fitting I thought" then I wonderd if the light color for Kleera's came from the combination of the parents. Quickly I skimmed to the back of my research book, indeed the pattern and color of the lights can be a combination of the parents. The only stallion I knew that was read was from a rival band called the Lights. A bit of a renegade,it must also be where the foals leg markings came from as the mare carried the muzzle lights. He had the heavy feathering like his father. The one trait the foal had all to himself was the lovely lights above his eyes. It was still to early to know a lot about the foal. It was a peaceful night, the mare decided it was now time to rejoin the herd. Walking with the little foal on her heels she went under the large apple tree. She whined a hello. A few mares with their older foals came to examine them. They smelled him with their noses and felt him with the whiskers, the little foal was unsure what to do,his curiosity soon took over and he began to examine them as well. It was clear he was now an accepted member. The lead stallion then wondered over at the comotion. The mare stood her ground. The stallion understood and looked from afar. He was a kind ruler, the foal would not be in any danger.Soom the tiny creature grew tired and hungry, the mare motioned for the others to leave except a smaller black mare with light blue lights and her grey yearling filly. The foal nursed again. Milk lined his muzzle giving him the appearance of a moustache. His eyes were vibrant and filled with life. He fell asleep underneath his mother. The mare ate some fallen apples. It was time for me to leave,I would return the next night to see the foal. Maybe then I would learn the color of his coat. I knew he would grow up wild and free. I couldn't wait to track his story because he was the first foal I had seen been born since I started research . I had high hopes and the dream that one day he would become the lead stallion. And maybe he could pass on the wonderful orange color and the lights above the eyes. I left without a word. I knew he would need a name. After walking for what seemed like forever I got into my car and drove. My mind occupied with names.

Mare: the air was still,a small breeze drifted. My stomach distended and uncomfortable I knew my time was near. It had been 11months since the radavoue with Renegade. I was hoping to settle down and start a new band, but that was dashed when Cloud chased him off. I still had my band to raise the baby in though and that was okay. As the kicks from the foal and the contractions grew stronger I went off into the field to be alone. My first foal. From what I knew of the others everything would happen naturally in time and instincts would lead the way. I lasted down upon my side hoping to catch some relief. Something told me my foal would be here any minute. I caught the scent of a human,I recognized it from before. My mind distracted I didn't feel it would be a threat. One last push and then the pain was over. I looked toward the foal. I saw him,a tiny mixture of features. He smelled of newborn and was still wet. I nuzzled and licked him to stimulate him. Then I stood up. The foal rose to his feet wobbly and falling. Soon her caught on and wonderd by my side as I grazed. He began to suckle and I knew we made it. It was the start of a journey. His feet were strong. After a while, with him in tow, I returned to my herd. They accepted him in the way we do. Them cloud came inquisitively, I knew he meant to harm but he was still a stallion, I made it clear to stay away. The little one then slept under my hoofs. My pal StarDust and her foal gypsy stayed with me through the first night.

Foal: the world was black as it had always been,I kicked uncomfortably as I felt a squeezing sensation every so often. Then in one giant motion I found myself outside of where I had been. It was a bit chilly and I was covered in a something and wet. I let out a large breath then air filled my lungs for the first time.i felt something go over me and then became warm and dry. It was still dark and and my eyes were trying to focus. Just as my eyes focused a huge figures head appeared infront of me. She smelled sweet and safe. She had lights lighter then mine around her muzzle. Instincts told me that she was my mother and I should stay close. She got up and began to mouth things on the ground,I would later learn this was called grazing. I tried to imitate her, my legs wobbly and to big for my body,I fell a few times before they stayed under me. I took my first steps looking up I saw Twinkling objects and a really big round thing in the sky. The world was new and I was filled with a lovely sensation. There were other smells but the only one I cared about was my momma. I then found where a yummy substance came from and began to drink. It filled my body with even more life and energy. Momma began to walk toward then was under a large thing called a tree. Other animals that looked like her came over and began to smell and touch me. They all looked like my momma but they had different colors, smells and patterns. I was nervous r but momma told me it was okay. I was tried from my adventures and my belly rumbled telling me to eat. Another animals that looked like me came over but momma wasn't happy and told it to go away. I drank a little more then layed down. Another animal like my mamma and a smaller one stayed with us for a while. I fell alseep. My world went black again like before the time I breathed air.

[stike]Year 1.
The weeks that followed everyone kept a tabs on the late born foal. He grew fat and sassy off of his mother milk. For a first time mother she did a great job. Red was always a bit smaller than the other foals. He made up for it with his happy demeanor. He was a gentle soul. Rolling in the grass under the warm sunshine was his main pass time if he wasn't playing or eating or sleeping for that matter. He became a member in the herd. You would find him near his mother, never wondering to far. The lead stallion never bothered with him. When he was 3 months old I returned. It was winter time and his coat along with the rest of the groups was thick and fluffy. He would prance at the snow. Noted in his book was the first time he had seen snow. He licked up to the sky and would do a little dance as snowflakes fell around him. When they fell on him he would shake with great night until it didn't even bother him. When one got on his younger he was joyous until it disappeared leaving the foal confused. When I found him amoungdy the group, To my surprise he was a cherry bay. Firey and bright. He had grown a considerable amount and now was the size of the rest of the foals from the year, even being 5 months younger. He started to try grazing by imitating his mother. He didn't understand but he learned and ate any way. Milk would still line his mouth for a few more weeks. At 6months old,his mother was found to be pregnant again. This time by a different Casanova stallion. It was weaning time for the little one and the lesson came harsh. The mare would kick slightly at him or whiny her distest. He was persistent but it was no avail. He would go over and eat the grass. He was confused and sorrowrd but that didn't last long. He went back to his normally routine except he would now eat the grass full time. It took 3 days but it stayed. A part of growing up. His baby coat was now almost fully gone and he was becoming sleek. His legs and head still made him look like a cartoon character. Spring was around. He would splash in the water and eat the fresh buds off the low branches. Distance between him and his mother grew, yet he was still dependent upon her. 8 months old he lost all remnets of his baby coat. He grew into his legs and head. It was now summer. The heat would bear down and the lake was low. He would zoom around wishing the mini heard that was all the weanlings. Racing to and fro testing his strength, stamina, and speed. They would often play flight. Developing skills he had know idea he would need later on in his life. Finally he was a year old. 12 months. I returned again to visit. His mother was growing bigger and bigger at 7 months pregnant. He would still go to her for protection. His days consisted of playing,eating/drinking,sleeping. Not a big change from what he was. Except now he grew into himself a bit more. He was sleek and sturdy but nothing near his two year old self or even his 4 year old self. It was a clear night Friday the 13. He danced with wonder under the night sky in rythmic movement and harmony with the world. He stood under the tree surrounded by the others, not knowing the milestone he reached and how lucky he was to even reach it. His coat glistens reflecting his orange lights. He looked like a walking jack o lantern. I longed to know what his coat would feel like. See I would never feel his coat until he was almost 4. [/strike] wip

Year 2

Red grew strong and ready,it was time for him to leave his herd. He roamed with 2 other males for a while, a cousin and a half brother. Red was by far the most curious and not shaken of the bunch.
