We chose to name these little guys after Artemis, the goddess of the moon, and Apollo, god of the sun in Greek Mythology. They are twins who are the children of Zeus and Leto.

Apollo is an overachiever. No wonder his father favors him out of all him children. However, Zeus had had enough when Apollo tracked down the giant python that bothered his mother and killed him. Zeus felt his son needed to be punished, so he sent him to Earth to do work there. Apollo, outraged, went to take a walk elsewhere. On his way, he found Eros, a somewhat bratty cupid playing with silver bow and arrows.
Apollo eyed the young cupid suspiciously. "You shouldn't play with those. They aren't toys." Apollo chastised.
Eros, filled with rage, smiled sweetly. "Alright! You can have it, then." He then dipped the arrow into aphrodisiac, took aim, and shot Apollo with it. Eros smiled. Apollo would now fall in love with the first person he saw once out of his daze. At that moment, beautiful daughter of a well-known river god was walking by. Her name was Daphne, and Apollo was instantly in love. Eros grinned mischievously. He took another arrow and dipped it in lead. He carefully aimed it towards Daphne and shot her with the arrow. Instead of falling in love with Apollo, the lead made her completely repulsed. Apollo would not let go. He loved Daphne far too much. So when she'd finally had enough of this disgusting idea called "love," she went to mother nature and begged her to kill her or turn her into something unattractive, so she would not have to deal with Apollo's love anymore. Mother nature turned Daphne into a Laurel tree.
Apollo was heartbroken. His first true love had found him so repulsive that she would rather be a tree than be with him. However he wouldn't let go. He tore off leaves of the Laurel tree, promising Daphne that her memory would live on.
Although he hadn't had much luck with his first crush, he was able to seduce many, and had many lovers that were mortal women and even men.

Orion. Oh how Artemis loved him. He was a hunter- a gorgeous one- who often liked to swim in the lake. Artemis spent so much time trying to seduce Orion, that she had completely been ignoring her brother. Apollo was definitely the jealous type, and missed her sister's affection. He wished for her presence every day that she would go out with that hunter. And so he decided to do something about it.
Apollo had convinced his sister to play a game that they used to play all the time. They would each get a specific number of arrows, and one of them would pick a far away object to hit. Apollo was aware of his sister's great aim, even though he was better. So he decided to challenge her.
"Hey Artemis, I bet you you can't hit that shiny object out there in the lake!" Apollo pointed at the object, which was barely a speck in the distance.
Artemis snorted. "I bet you I can!" She replied, as she took aim with her arrow.
However, there was one thing that Artemis didn't know. It was that that shiny object wasn't an object. It was the head of Orion. By the time Artemis had released the arrow, it perfectly hit Orion straight through his head. It was only then Artemis had realized what she had done, and she fell in grief.
Apollo looked down at his sister. He knows she would have done the same thing. It isn't as if she hadn't killed before.
He knelt down to his sister's level and embraced her.
"Don't worry Artemis, you have me."

(I apologize if the twins seem a bit twisted- but that's because these stories are based off actual greek mythology involving these twins, and I tried to keep them in character c:)
