Life of a Geek
Looking the way she does Shinigami often gets mistaken as an emo girl. To be honest she is quite different than the emo type of Plumerians. See, there are several types of plumerians at her high-school. There are the jocks, the emos, the nerds and then there are the geeks. Where is Shinigami in all this? Well of course she in the geek section. Being a know-it-all in most TV shows and video games she is the perfect image of geek. With the sight of a bat and the teeth of a ogre Shinigami indeed need both glasses and braces, rarely does she wear her contacts. She even wears nothing but her Fandom shirts, skinny jeans and converse. Her hair is pitch black which is usually let down and straightened or up in a messy bun. As for friends, Shinigami doesn't have many; just a few fellow geek friends to fangirl or fanboy over their own little geeky fandoms. Shinigami does quite well in her highschool classes, mostly math and computer education. So well in fact that Shinigami may know more about computers than her teacher does. One thing that most people don't know about her is that she can hack into anything, at any given time. She first got into this hobby when she saw an episode of her favorite TV show Supernatural. When she saw a new character in this show that resembled much of her personality but was a hard-core hacker, she immediately researched all there was to know about computers and how to hack into different hard-wares and programs. Even with this skill Shinigami doesn't hack into things that could get her into jail. Sure she has hacked into websites and strangers personal social media accounts but she would never hack into something as big as jail security or NASA's blueprints.
Relationships
Disney: Disney and Shinigami are very close friends. With both being so close ,most may say they are soul mates. Most of Shinigami's high-school classmates categorize them as an item (aka.. a couple), though they are not dating. With Disney being a mythological enthusiast and Shinigmai being such a fandom freak and computer geek ,they love to exchange information about their own interests. Shinigmai is usually fascinated by all the myths and legends Disney knows about his mythological creatures and such. By far her favorite is the one about the sirens. Shinigami once attempted to teach Disney how to hack into a simple 300GB hard-drive; but all she did was make his head spin. Disney and Shinigami met after Shinigami dropped her glasses in the middle of the isle in Target; having her hands full with new computer supplies Shinigami was unable to pick her glasses up. Disney was in the isle with Shingami when she dropped her glasses and politely picked them up for her. In a non-weird way Disney set them on Shinigami's face; and while in the process poked her in the eye with the end of the pair of glasses. That's when their friendship began.
Akira: Being the twin sister of Akira, Shinigami is indeed very very close to her. Shinigami may be a bit shy but not as shy as her twin Every time Akira gets make fun of or picked on either in her face or behind her back Shinigami makes sure that the Plumerian who was picking on her sister pays for it. Before Shinigami knew about the mysteries behind computers she would measly just beat the kid up but now, she embarrasses them online without her sister and parents knowing. Shinigami knows that her sister would do the same thing for her if Shinigami was in a pickle. As kids Shinigami and Akira join a spooks-club with their friends Kahea but as they mature and grow up they close connection to the club and just become spooky friends. Akira is closer to Kahea during middle-school/ high-school than Shinigami is. Throughout their childhood Shinigami and Akira rarely get in fights together. They get along very well and look out for each other.
Kurotasu: Shinigami and her dad have quite the relationship. Shinigami gets a bit of her geekiness from her father; mostly the music Shinigami listens to. She and her dad often bond over songs by older artists, such as Kansas and Asia and a bunch of old movies such as Back to the Future and Ghost Busters. One would often hear them add song lyrics to their conversations or the two would randomly start singing some of their favorite songs. Whenever Shinigami gets a bad grade or has trouble with her sister, Kurotasu would sweep his arms around his daughters shoulders and begin to sing Carry on my Wayward Son by Kansas, to comfort her. Often she would join him and the bad moment would turn into a bundle of laughter.
Akemi:Shinigami and her mother have a close relationship. Akemi is the reason why Shinigami is such a good student in school. She pushes her to do more during school so once Shinigami graduates she can be accepted into a great technology college and later and major in computer science. Although Shinigami will eventually change those plans by going her own way and work for the government by hacking into enemies data bases.; her mom will support her even though her plan wasn't carried out the way she wanted.
My Future For Her
I chose a different path for Shinigami than the other participants. Most want her to be related to the underworld or some type of mythical career. Instead I wanted her to have a normal life like the rest of her family; just a bit on a higher level though. I plan to have her go through college and major in computer science and have a degree in advanced math. At first Shinigami will get a job in Harvard college as a mathematics professor. A year or so into teaching Shinigami's supervisor will recognize how skilled she is in mathematics and computer science and he will send out a good word about her to a government organization used to hack into other countries secret files. That's when her life gets interesting.
