hes,, very interesting and easy to talk to, though he never manages to start conversations and has a hard time finishing sentences, so there's a lot of 'dot-dot-dot' in conversations with him. even so, he usually ends up being the kind of guy others come to for comfort, so he knows a lot of secrets about others. he doesnt usually speak much for himself, being a more observing type, so good luck trying to learn anything about him. sometimes he'll outright ignore your questions, though it's not because he doesnt like you or anything. for the most part he just gets distracted or cant find the voice needed to speak up.

nico's closest friend isn't even a viscet - instead, his best friend is dante the vaiki. while nico doesn't mind other viscets, he does sometimes get self-conscious about his markings. because of this, he prefers to spend time with the eccentric, excitable demiboy who is dante. because dante is still young, he usually sees past the markings and will actually make nico feel more comfortable about them, even if he did comment on them when they first met. it's a good thing dante ended up not talking about the markings as much anymore.

although nico doesn't really like cabbages, he'll gladly accept them from the little vaiki's hydroponics garden - something else that greatly fascinates the viscet. it's always a wonder why a young kiddo like dante took interest in plants and growing them through the use of pipes instead of something other kids would do, but nowadays he doesn't question it much. sometimes he helps dante out with all the waterworks and such, since he's taller and all. as a summary, the duo are great friends, despite their very noticeable size differences. in fact, it's actually a thing in their friendship - dante really loves piggyback rides!

relationship with hyperion;
while he loves his father, some of nico actually resents him, mostly because he had the unlucky opportunity of
inheriting his markings. he doesn't blame him much, but rather lets his feelings ball up inside of him,
occasionally letting it out on his friend dante the vaiki instead. he doesn't talk to hype very much anymore; again,
not because he hates his father, but because of those annoying, endlessly changing markings splashed across his
back. it does strain their relationship greatly, and the worst part is he can never truly lie to his father through his
\teeth, when his fur color changes and it's apparent what he's truly feeling. he can't lie and say he's happy.
because he hardly ever is. nowadays, sadly, nico has distanced himself far from hyperion. he doesn't like trying to
lie, he grew sick of it. perhaps it's for the better.

relationship with toxic;
as with hype, nico doesn't spend much time with his mother. while the reason for this is different from the
reason why nico is wary of hyperion, it's still generally the same. resentment. nico loves his mother dearly,
admittedly more than he loves his father; unfortunately, this makes his emotions a bit... mixed, to say. between
love and hatred, his confusion is something he can't deal very well with, especially when he's around his mother.
because of this, nico no longer keeps close contact with her, preferring to shut his doors away from his parents.
inside, he knows he loves them and that he's the reason for his own dysfunctional family, but there's really nothing
he can do about it anymore. he does see toxic once in a while, just to make sure he doesn't tear the family apart
any more.

relationship with ajax
ajax is a sort of mentor to nico. while he understands nico well, and can help offer comfort for the whole markings
ordeal, ajax knows he can't feel what nico feels - and he admits that in a way that makes nico feel like he truly
understands, albeit being in a different way. ajax may be more of a teacher in terms of knowledge than just being
some guy ready to sit down for a pep talk, but that doesn't mean nico feels both ways for ajax. all in all he's
extremely thankful to have met the kind viscet, despite his short temper and tendency to cut nico with his sharp
tongue once in a while.

relationship with yu
in all honesty nico doesn't really know what to make of this guy, and it shows. nico doesn't really remember how he
came to know the introverted, closed off viscet, but he does drop by to read his books sometimes, mostly when it's
something about photography or painting or whatever interests him most. yu himself doesn't seem to mind nico so
basically they're... friends in some sense? they tolerate each other, that's for sure, but other than that they don't
seem to go any further. nico hopes to get to know yu more, though.

relationship with maddox
while dante is the true smol to his tol, nico still spends a lot of time with the optimistic jellybean dragon known
as maddox. their positive energy is always there, as though maddox radiated it and all nico needed to do was sit
nearby and he would feel better right away. a kid like maddox somehow manages to understand nico's family
problems - the young bean themself knows firsthand what a dysfunctional family can be like. while their
circumstances for a family are different from nico's, maddox still manages to provide comfort for nico whenever
it's needed - which is admittedly almost all the time.





quad form;
nico's quad form is shown on his reference image. he has dark gray fur and markings splashed across his back
resembling his mother's, while said markings have his father's legendary trait that cause them to constantly change
color whenever nico's emotions change. nico is roughly shorter than the average viscet, and will probably stay that
way as he has already reached his peak in terms of growing. he is of average weight and fur length, but his build is
skinnier.

anthro form;
nico, in anthro, has a more human-like build than a viscet. he still retains most of his features, but now instead of
the spikes on his back stretching from head to tail tip, he has hair on his head that reaches the base of the back of
his neck and still has the rest of his spikes, only much smaller. most of these actually depend on an artist's preference,
but this is how i see him anyway.

human form;
retaining his physical traits such as height, weight, build and so on, as a human he sometimes still retains his ears.
he always wears his biromantic beanie and usually has a scarf with him and prefers wearing long sleeved clothing and
jeans - anything covering most of his skin. his patterns of color changing markings have moved to mostly his back,
shoulders, legs, wrists and ankles. they still have a similar marking flow and change color, so that nico tends to wear
lots of thick bands on his wrists. all in all he tries his best to hide his markings, sometimes wearing bandages wrapped
around his arms.





all in all ? nico is a very flawed young viscet, though he would never let his fears define him. he surrounds himself
with the people he knows and trusts, generally making sure he's leading a good life. while he doesn't see his parents
as much anymore he tries to please them, trying his best to replicate his father's personality in himself. if he can try
his best to act confident, say things hyperion would say, he hopes he'll be able to stand on his own two feet. become
independent. that's who he wants to be.

nico does of course have his ambitions outside of simply being an independent viscet. for one he aspires to become
an artist, and/or a photographer. being who he is, with his color-changing markings and all, nico feels like he can
draw the line that connects colors with emotions, and later on mix and match them into his pictures and photos. this
way he can let his feelings flow, turn them into a sort of art that is both self-indulgent and enjoyable to do. he simply
wishes to let others know how he feels, despite it being in a subtle, silenced way. as long as they understood color,
then other could understand him.

while he only has a small, low quality camera and little experience using a paintbrush, nico has already begun to work
on his skills. he has started to learn watercolor techniques, which are in his opinion very pretty. it's not a rare sight to
see his markings flush into a deep blue and signal his exhaustion. screwing his eyes to a near-close to get a glimpse at
how many drops of one color can be mixed into another isn't something easy. sometimes he gets up, calls it a day and
fumes before realizing he's got all the time in the world and as such continues to do his work, sitting back down, picking
up the brush and hoping his motivation doesn't burn out. it's not an easy thing, especially when you can see your wrists
change color and signal your tiredness in front of your eyes. sometimes they show other emotions like the brown-black
of frustration or the red of his fury. when this happens, nico decides to resort to using the camera instead.

he walks outside, he thinks for a moment, he sees what inspires him most: normal viscets. no color changing markings
for them to hide, nothing that spoils out their emotions and makes it clear how they feel. nico has an interest in
photographing what he calls a normal life. he never takes pictures without others' consent however, so sometimes
t's hard to get a subject to be willing to pose for him. sometimes he needs ajax to help ask others politely, which
proves to somehow be more effective. maybe it's because nico's color changing is too distracting to others. either
way, nico still finds muse in other things, and his aesthetic really has no limits at best. one minute he's photographing
the cat on his window sill and by the next dante's vegetables become his object of interest.

The time limit for readoption is just so that people don't try to cheat the ownership limit by claiming it's up for adoption but never choosing a winner. It's still kind of new and flexible/revisable.
