Art by me! Username: Hi! I'm
Firedancer77, here to try out for this sorrowful soul.
Do you own any keetins?: Not at the moment, so
no! I have tried out for a few different ones (somehow I don't think I've ever managed to finish my form though ;-; woops), but I have never gotten one myself! I am hoping that I can finally win one though!
Her Name: Her first name is Deidre, meaning "sad one." Her middle name is Etsuko, meaning "joyful child." Her last name is Trystman, meaning "sadness." Therefor, her full name is
Deidre Etsuko Trystman. There is some meaning behind her name. Deidre and Trystman obviously have to do with her sadness. But what about Etsuko, which seems so contrary? Well, that is because of the fact that she was - once upon a time - a very happy child. But something has changed since then.
Her Personality: Deidre's personality is very deeply affected by one thing. Depression. Her depression - yes, she's not just sad, but is actually depressed - go hand in hand with why she's sad, so some of these you may see again later. She is generally apathetic in most cases - not really being enthusiastic, concerned, or interested in things - and is also bored very easily. She is generally very discontented, and also feels guilty. This would be because of her condition that makes her so sad, as she feels that it is her fault. She also feels quite a bit of hopelessness and loneliness, and often has mood swings that generally make her go from something to sadness. She just suffers from emotional distress in general. Deidre is severely lacking when it comes in concentration. She just can't find a way to focus on something in such a manner. She also is very easily agitated and irritated, and tends to excessively cry. Her mood swings can sometimes stop this, but because she is sad a lot of the time, she generally cries a lot. She also tends to be socially isolated. While she will watch other Keetins from a distance, she seems to subconsciously seclude and distance herself from the rest. As for sleeping? Well, this probably sparks a bit of Deidre's irritability. She has insomnia, and the sleep she does manage to get is restless. Not only this, but she wakes up very early. This adding altogether just doesn't go well. She tends to just be restless even when she's awake, and suffers from fatigue because of her insomnia. She also seems to be very anxious, and doesn't eat a lot from loss of appetite. Not only this, but she will be repeatedly going over certain thoughts. Overall, Deidre's depression definitely impacts what she's like, and because of this she's very different from her younger self.
Why is she so completely and very sad?: Deidre is very sad and depressed because of the fact that she suffers from dementia. Actually, her depression is caused by her dementia, as it is a symptom people can suffer when they have it. She didn't have this as a child, but around the age of eighteen it sprung up. She actually has quite a few symptoms from this. Firstly? Memory loss. Deidre often forgets things, and it's a wonder that she hasn't forgotten her own name yet. That - and a hand full of other things, such as remembering her dementia and depression - are the only things she hasn't managed to forget. Along with this, she is extremely disoriented. Her sense of direction is completely out of whack, and she finds herself getting lost all the time because of this. Her forgetfulness works along with her disorientation, because she finds herself losing things or forgetting things that she's supposed to do. Going hand in hand with her mental confusion is making things up. She often finds herself inventing things to make up for the gaps in her memory. She also has a problem identifying common things, and it can take a lot to coax it out of her. Not only this, but Deidre is prone to be being irritated. Irritation is just a part of who she is. Along with this, her disorientation often causes her to when she wanders, get lost. Deidre often is very apathetic. She just is often not very enthusiastic, concerned, or interested in matters. She's also just generally discontented with what's going on, and lonely. She doesn't like being by herself, and tends to suffer from mood swings as well. Sometimes she may be happy (rarely, it takes a lot) but this will quickly shift to anger or sadness. Because of her dementia, Deidre tends to be unsteady when she's walking, and her dementia helps her depression keep her up at night. She finds it very, very difficult to fall asleep. She also has difficulty swallowing, tends to fall a lot, has slightly jumbled speech, tends to be very restless, and also can be found trembling a lot.
Her Crush: Deidre's crush happens to be
Sirius. She has never actually spoken a word to him - and wouldn't dare to because just the thought frightens her - but she does know quite a bit about him. It's actually quite surprising that she has managed to hold on to what she knows about him so far, although some details are lost.
I looked up all information on depression and dementia. I wouldn't use them otherwise. I also have permission from Skywishes21 to use Sirius.
