Name: Sandrine
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual. After seeing the result of her parents' marriage, Sandrine has always feared that she would end up with a tyrant spouse and living in poverty if she ever dated a female.*
Personality: Sandrine is naturally protective, ready to defend at a moment's notice. Some may call her overprotective, or even possessive, especially with Eluvian. However, Sandrine doesn't let it get to her. She doesn't care what they say - defending her twin is her natural instinct.
In work, Sandrine is ruthless. She mercilessly crushes all her opponents, and devises numerous plans to rise to the top. However, her work has also blurred her ability to take care of herself. No matter how sick she is, Sandrine would always go to work early and stay late. Her determination has always been a positive trait when she was young, allowing her to participate in many clubs and competitions, but she never once thought it would harm herself. Sandrine, however, holds her family at a high place in her heart. Whenever she has time, she goes to visit them and buys them numerous items that they need. She has a strong sense of responsibility, thinking that she must repay her siblings and mother for all the hard work they have done for her. She also does not want them staying in a stressful environment anymore.
Though Sandrine is responsible, she constantly makes rash decisions. She almost never thinks things through, and when she does, she still acts according to her instinct.
Sandrine speaks in an eloquent manner, and usually in a calm voice. Unlike when she was young, raising her voice easily hurts her throat. However, she is able to make herself heard and gather everyone's attention easily. Sandrine is easily angered due to stress, but she would only argue and make snappish remarks, never raising her voice. She enjoys spacious areas, as she is slightly claustrophobic. With weak physical health, she is also prone to collapsing if she walks around too much. However, with her natural charm and persuasive skills, Sandrine is often able to get others to run around for her.

Appearance: Sandrine has a mature and rather menacing aura emitting from her. She dresses in sharp, clean work clothes, and simple pieces of jewelry. She rarely wears anything else, as Sandrine is constantly working. When she is able to relax, Sandrine either lazes around in pajamas or other loose clothing. A white flower crown adorns her head, and she takes special care to make sure it's out of sight when she sees her family.

Childhood; Sandrine was loved by nearly all who met her. She entertained many with her acting, trying to imitate what she saw on TV. Without a sense of care in the world, she was also arrogant and spoiled. She didn't know what hardships her family endured. She only knew what she had - the food in her plate, the clothes she wore, the toys she had. She thought everything was given, and was never thankful. Sandrine hated Fantasia for being so strict on her, not knowing it was because of her own personality.
However, it all changed when she first saw Anora. A pretty figure that was supposed to be her mother. Someone who could give her all she wanted with her money, unlike Fantasia. Sandrine begged, she pleaded, to let Eluvian and herself go live with Anora. Fantasia, naturally, refused, and the small kiamara screamed and shouted, threw all kinds of tantrums until she realized that Anora didn't love her. Unlike the others, she didn't laugh when Sandrine acted out sappy love scenes, dramatic deaths. She didn't even smile when Sandrine brought her flowers that she had grown herself. It was a shock to her - no one had ever disliked her. Everyone had praised her and showered her with smiles and gifts. But this new pretty mother? She paid no attention. For once in her life, Sandrine was nothing.
As Anora left, so did her arrogant habits.

During her teenage years, Sandrine developed a deep feeling of dislike, though not black enough to be called hatred, for Anora. Anora was not there at most of her birthdays, nor any other holidays. Due to this lack of attention, Sandrine began devising ways to make Anora notice her. She signed up for nearly a hundred competitions, won most of them, won awards in many different instruments, sports, interned for big companies, got scholarships to many different universities, yet Anora still paid more attention to her twin. After studying her sister, the adolescent knew why Anora liked her better. That was when she made a new persona - instead of acting like her usual self, she became more obedient. Sandrine was no longer the annoying kid who was possessive and had anger issues. She was a timid, yet firm girl, able to follow orders. Sandrine was the type to easily persuade big clients into agreeing to contracts. She wasn't nothing after all - she just needed to be molded a bit more.
Fantasia saw right through her daughter. It was obvious that though at first all Sandrine wanted was to garner attention, she became obsessed with becoming heir to the wealth. Sandrine was changing - she suddenly became more like her twin and Thane. How did the social and rebellious girl become quiet and obedient? Sandrine saw her mother's distaste in her actions, yet she wouldn't stop acting. Her old self was still there, but it was only let out in front of her twin. It was locked underneath a facade. The kiamara was obsessed in becoming heir - she had finally realized all the hard work Fantasia had to do to support them, and she believed that money would make life better for all of them. She accepted scorn from her elder sister, all the rebukes, all the rants and arguments. Because Sandrine believed that if she had to endure just a little bit of pain to earn an entire life's happiness, it would be worth it.

As soon as she came of age, the first thing Sandrine went to do was find Thane. He was once the only worthy candidate, and she needed to copy him like she did with her sister. After a few visits with furious yelling on both sides, she still wouldn't give up. Somehow managing to see him on a monthly basis, Sandrine has yet to figure out what exactly is so good about a criminal.
Sandrine picked up a job at Anora's company, desperate to prove herself. No matter how hard the work was, she endured it. Just a little bit of pain for an entire lifetime of happiness. So that Fantasia and Kieran, who both had worked so hard to raise her, could finally rest. So that her twin wouldn't need to be in a stressful, chaotic family. Sandrine worked her head off, constantly taking up other people's work and working late. She overworked herself - but also made time for family. She still lived with Eluvian, knowing her sister's disorder. Sandrine needed to be her protector, no matter how old she was. Eluvian was her twin, after all. She had to look out for her.
With so much burden on her shoulders, however, Sandrine grew more distant from the family, though she was with them daily. She was obsessed with reaching the top, and was able to successfully get many other employees out of the way by manipulation. Though Sandrine thought she would never be as distant and attached to wealth as her flower-wearing mother was, she became her. Sandrine detested Anora, and swore she would never be like her, yet she became just as manipulative. Right now, she needs someone to wake her up. Because if she continues to be buried in her goal, she would either die trying, or become as heartless as Anora.
There were many days when her head hurt, when her world started spinning, and she could barely walk. There were days where she couldn't distinguish her true self from the facade she had put up. But she endured it. Because pain could be traded for an entire lifetime of happiness.

Thane; Sandrine knows little to nothing about her brother. She has visited him many times to get information on Anora out of him, but there is little fruition. She detests him - blood is thicker than water, that was the saying, wasn't it? Yet he turned on his own family. The only reason why Sandrine takes interest in him is because he was a worthy heir in Anora's eyes. If she was going to inherit the wealth, she might as well start by investigating what made her mother desire a psychopath as her heir.
Cailan; Sandrine doesn't hate her, but doesn't exactly like her either. Cailan's bitterness towards all the heir business and how she and Eluvian clash makes Sandrine like her a lot less. She often argues with her sister, and earns scorn and distaste for planning to be the heir. However, Sandrine still plans to repay Cailan for working outside to raise her.
Kieran; Kieran is like a father figure to Sandrine. She adores him, and constantly made him play pretend with her as a young Kia. He was the one she would run crying to, if anything terrible happened to her. He was her rock, her sword, her throne. However, the two became more distant as Sandrine grew more involved in the Anora business. In her siblings' eyes, she merely wants the wealth - another Thane. But it's not the whole truth. Sandrine wants the wealth to repay those who had worked so hard to support her, and for those she had caused trouble for with her arrogant ways.
Zaira; When Sandrine first met her aunt, she did everything she could to get close to her. Because here was a purple flowery kiamara, who looked like her rich pretty mother. Maybe if Zaira loved her, Anora would pay attention to her too. Sandrine used to go to Tranquility everyday as a child, but then it became every few days, every week, every month, until she was rarely seen by Zaira. Her obsession with the family wealth let her know that Anora hated Zaira, and it was best to not associate with her if she wanted the money. However, she can be occasionally found in Tranquility, with the excuse that 'I was hungry and it was nearby'. Sandrine has no idea what her mother had done to her aunt, but still plans to repay Zaira for her kindness. She has left a letter with one of the employees, explaining why she would prefer not to associate with her aunt now.
Anora;
It was first 'notice me Senpai', then dislike, then detest, then 'I'm only talking to you because I want your money'. Anora is a distant figure to Sandrine, and merely a pawn in her scheme to become the heir. She has tried her best to be unlike her; going back to see her family members everyday, putting more effort in making them happy, but she only became more like her flower-wearing mother. Sandrine rarely associates with Anora, except for work. Most of her interests are from her trying to please Anora - keeping up with the latest trends, flashing her money around, etc. in her teenage years, however, her interest to garner attention gradually thinned out, as Zaira, someone who looked like Anora, gave it to her. From then on, Sandrine had detested Anora for not being there for her and not caring about her at all. She felt the need to usurp the tyrant that had left her mother living in poverty, and who was the entire cause of her messed up family.
Eluvian; in short, mess with her, mess with Sandrine. Sandrine is overprotective of her twin, and will defend her with her life. When they were young, Sandrine constantly went out of her way to give Eluvian gifts to make her happy. However, as much as she hates to admit it, Sandrine sort of ignores her sister nowadays, becoming more obsessed with her work.

In the corner of a cafe, a lone kiamara sits with a laptop and stack of papers in front of her. A white crown of flowers adorn her head, and makeup cleverly conceals the dark bags under her eyes. Soft music plays in the background, giving the idea of sleep. It was near dinner time, and the kiamara had only ordered a coffee. If you watched her, you would see regular yawns and constant rubbing of eyes, hear annoyed tapping on the computer and curses spoken in a low voice. She moved through the stack of papers like a machine, but it wasn't fast enough. No normal person could do that much work in so little time.
Footsteps neared the kiamara. "Sorry, ma'am, we're closing now." The bartender earned a sharp glance from the working kiamara, but she gave a curt nod and began to pack up her papers. She stood up slowly, shaking slightly, as if she couldn't quite find her balance. There was no life in her eyes; only the papers tucked neatly in her briefcase. As she walked out, the kiamara grabbed the flower crown off of her head and stuffed it into her case, seemingly trying to hide it. Though she walked with her back straight and an almost regal aura, you could not help but think that she looked worn out from fatigue. And though she maintains a sharp look in an eye, it seems as though she is always mourning – of past days lost? Of regrets left behind? Or of a childhood she was never able to have?
*I'm sincerely sorry if the sexuality part offends anyone, but this is how I'm developing the character.
