What is a Makoatl?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the Greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

His tail drew crimson soaked lines in the mud.
It had been years since he had visited this god forsaken place, but it still looked the same.
If he squinted, the rocks and mounds of dirt and clay became the bodies that had lain there,
awaiting their fate, not deep below the earth, but at the beaks of the carrion birds that had
started circling long before the battle had even began.

Will I ever get their blood off my paws?

He looked down at the rusted dog tags that hung around his neck, its printed words screaming out at him.
ARSEN, ARES. GENERAL.
The crest of those who he fought for hung to the other side like a bad curse, and for the first time, as he
stood in the place that had changed him, broken him, he wondered… Was I ever on the right side?

It started with Rage taking a stroll on a moonless night, mainly to only calm himself down I suppose. Rage was always one to have anger issues and he always seemed a lot more calm at night. Night had always been his favourite time, since no other Makoatl was out other than him.

Rage was definitely wrong when it came to thinking he was always alone, he was never alone. In the shadows, another, golden and black Makoatl stalked Rage, no intro was known for this mysterious Makoatl. Yet, something seemed off about this gold Makoatl. This Makoatl always seemed to have a look of curiosity to his facial expression when he watched Rage go on his nightly strolls. The Makoatl took such interest in Rage, it was clear this Mako had such a crush on him.

“Hi!” The Mako called, “I’m Curaxu!” The Golden Mako smiled warmly, eyes gleaming.

“I’m Rage..”
