Soleil currently lives in an orphanage near the woods. She's rude to all the others there and refuses to listen to anybody. Everybody in the orphanage is annoying to Soleil and she makes no attempts to try and make friends. The orphanage owner has hired a therapist to try and improve her attitude but she either completely ignores them or sneaks into the woods to go exploring and scavenging for new things she can add to her hoard. Since she listens to no one, she never learned what is right and what is wrong. She steals things in an attempt to cheer up Hecate, she will make another cry(unintentionally through prankng) to try and make Hecate laugh.

Sometimes she accidentally makes Hecate feel bad about herself by saying certain things about her appearance. They aren't meant as insults, more like mere statements. When Soleil becomes upset, she will hide somewhere in the woods and she becomes very reserved. Despite Soleil's "tough" demeanor, she cries very easily. Soleil lies a lot and doesn't think much about it. She often doesn't understand why others are upset over something she did, and she doesn't care and only gives them a half-hearted apology. She does however care if she does something to upset Hecate because she is her only friend. When Hecate is upset, Soleil often tries to bribe her with gifts that were either stolen or from her personal hoard. This never works and Hecate must explain to her how she should say sorry and actually mean it. She tells Soleil she can't just expect someone to forgive them using bribery. Soleil tries very hard to change and is slowly improving with her behavior.

Soleil often accidentally insults others because she gives nicknames to everyone. Even if they're a random passerby, if they made a big enough impression on her, she'll give them a nickname. The nickname often depends on their appearance but can also depend on something they did that was interesting to her. Soleil is very insecure about her eyes, as she calls them, "soulless" because they are pitch black. She gets very defensive about them and has been trying to steal contact lenses to hide them(she failed though). Every time someone comes in looking to adopt a kid and she doesn't get picked, she becomes incredibly sad and will mope in a corner. It feels like a stab to the heart to her.

Soleil is very adventurous and curious. She loves exploring caves and other things. Being her reckless self, she comes back often with many scrapes or bruises. Soleil has made a map and is constantly adding more to it. She has an amazing sense of direction and memory so she knows the forest like the back of her paw/hand(?) Soleil desperately wants to impress Hecate and often shows her things Hecate things she might find weird or disturbing, though Soleil finds them cool. Sometimes she does show Hecate things she likes. For example caves or scenery.




It doesn't take an extremely intelligent plumerian to realize just how headstrong little miss Hestia is. More than once has it been stated that there's too much stubbornness to fit in that four foot ten ("almost eleven!") body of hers. A real fast thinker, she's quick to speak her mind and shoot back with an insult the minute someone says "hullo". Now of course, once the girls head is clear of all her comebacks and reciprocations, she can actually get a job done. If only that happened more often. It takes about five people and her old fox plushie to convince Hestia to actually, y'know, focus on one thing at a time. Even then, it's nearly impossible for her to do so for more than fifteen minutes.

Hestia has an intense love to get her hands dirty, just not the best appreciation of those moments where her parents find her in her mud-stained trousers, as opposed to the frilly dresses they would accept a "young lady" like her to wear. "Honestly, sweetheart, you really cannot keep doing this. What will the neighbors think when they see you wearing that? Nothing good, that's for sure." Only Hecate wants to get her hands dirty, she wants to play in the mud with all the other kids and wear overalls and tennis shoes. Not flats, and dresses, and hair appointments where her mother dictates how much needs to be cut off down to the last centimeter. Needless to say, that has lead to the development of her rebellious personality.

It started as a normal little kid thing, sticking her tongue out and putting her hands on her hips. Slowly, it progressed into something bigger, until arguments with her parents were a constant at the dinner table, and her mom no longer came into her room to kiss her goodnight. Hecate could not be happier, and after a while actually felt like she could do something other than what her parents want for her. (Screw what they thought was best, she wasn't ever going to be in the mood to be paraded around at dinner parties. Nuh uh.) But, for anyone who doesn't know her family life, (something she'd prefer to keep private), Hecate can seem like the brat who has everything and doesn't realize it.

Snotty can often be used to describe Hecate by people who don't actually know her that well, for her reputation and her sense of sarcasm that's rather difficult to locate unless you've been around her for a while. Despite not being the ideal plumerian, Hecate's stubbornness and rebellious attitude goes side by side with her sweetness to those she loves most.

Their backgrounds couldn't be anymore different, but it'd be near impossible to have a friend you loved more. Soleil, the trouble making orphan who'd really just appreciate it if everyone would just shut up and let her do whatever the hell she wants. And Hecate, the tomboy who doesn't actually fit the high-society shoes she has to fit. They met (more like found each other) the night that Hecate ran away to get away from it all, and Soleil went exploring. The second they saw each other, they both went still, before slowly falling into conversation. By the time the sun had to rise, Soleil had to go back to the orphanage and Hecate had to go back to her house.

Soleil and Hecate are amazing friends, and spend as much time together as they can, although at times their friendship is difficult because they have to keep it a secret. Hecate's parents don't even know that she sneaks out, and Soleil just wouldn't want anyone to know anymore about her life than they already do. The pair even each other out in the best way, since Hecate was taught to always be a sweet young lady with a truck full of manners, and Soleil never knew right from wrong. As Soleil draws Hecate out of her polite casing, Hecate takes opportunities to show Soleil right from wrong. Several times, Hecate has been upset with Soleil and they've gotten into fights over the fact that Soleil will steal or prank to make Hecate feel better.

When they're not having a learning session, Soleil takes Hecate to places she's mapped out. At the end of the day, they'll come back covered with bruises or scratches with dirt all over them. Of course, this doesn't bode well for Hecate when she tries to get back to her house without letting her parents see her, but the two have so much fun together that no one could stop them from meeting up. Soleil is the friend Hecate always wanted, someone she could have an actual nice relationship with that wasn't set up by her parents, and Soleil finally got a chance to prep for the real world, while meeting someone not from the orphanage, who she would trust with anything. Soleil and Hecate, along with teaching each other many different things, are unknowingly learning how to trust with every moment they spend together.
