why: There is a legend of long ago, a man finding gold in the Superstition Mountains near Phoenix. Many people know this as the Lost Dutchman's Goldmine. She went to hike in search of the gold, mostly for the trip than finding the gold. With no luck, this is still a powerful experience to her because she made a lot of memories along the way.

Ever since she was a young girl, China had always fascinated her with its beautiful culture and land. She finds these two places extremely beautiful, and she liked when she went there so she could paint the images she saw to show others.

Why:
Scotland is one of the most beautiful places to visit and knowing Iris she loves to take pictures shes a photographer and couldn't pass up the opportunity and what she saw could only be explained in person. When she first arrived in Scotland she instantly went to Loch Ness hoping to catch a glimpse of the so called creature of the lake but instead what she got was a gorgeous view from the lake. But thats not all she went to see Iris also got to hike around the lakeside after words she went to visit the ruins of one of Scotland's largest castles, Urquhart Castle, perched on its banks. Being exacted from that day arriving and taking many photos and seen many breath taking views she turned into her hotel for some well earned rest. Knowing tomorrow Scotland has many more things awaiting her. The next day she went to Orkney Islands known for its chance to spot puffin and seal colonies, giant Arctic seabirds and even dolphins you don't have to just sail you can hike or cycle through the islands as well. Iris was over joyed almost to over joyed on the ride their almost knocking her camera into the water! All was well tho cause over her quick reflects she managed to keep her camera at bay this was a two day trip so she had to camp out their for the night the stars out their where amazing at night and she got some pretty amazing shots their. The next day she tried to get up close to the seal colonies until her guide stopped her from getting very close in-person with teeth! Thus ending that day and heading back to the motel. The next and finale day she stayed in the city Edinburgh the historical capital. It is Encircled by 7 hills, both the city's old and new towns are UNESCO World Heritage sites, with the famous Royal Mile framed by Edinburgh Castle and the splendid Holyrood Palace. Iris being her last day their she enjoyed some of their homemade foods and drinks and made many friends. Iris last place she went before she had to go to the air port was the banks of Arthur's Peak to watch the sun set over one of Europe's most undeniably picturesque city skylines.

Why:
Since Iris is bilingual she has no problems getting around and thus is why she is free to travel to places like Japan, France, USA, Germany, and Kuwait. But she likes Japan she arrived at the perfect time for Cherry blossom parties they start sometime in April all the way through to May she stays here for a week. Iris personal favorite places when this happens is the famous areas Ueno Park in Tokyo and Maruyama Park in Kyoto. This time is when all the cherry trees blossom all around Japan and the city's become lively and is beautiful in day time as well as the night time! But Iris does need her sleep and place she can collect herself when she gets over worked or over ran so when she stays in Japan she goes to a Ryokan Inn they are traditional Japanese Inns that haven't changed much since the Edo-era. Everything is traditional at a Ryokan including the building, garden, rooms, bedding, onsen, food and clothing. It's like traveling in time to experience the charm of old Japan! Iris got into her yukata the inn provides and went for the onsen to relax befor she called it a night. As she went up to her room she noticed welcoming notes in her room as she layed down and sipped her tea she dozed off. Next day Iris went to Nikko. It is a ancient town that's filled with temples and shrines up in the mountains north of Tokyo. It took a will but she managed to hike her way up their and man was it gorgeous the shrines where old from the Edo era. Iris then hit the roads to Hakone it is a misty village in the mountains near Mount Fuji. It's known for its nature, scenic lake, onsen and historical sites. when she arrived at Hakone she went straight to the Hakone Shrine to pay her respects The forest path leading to the shrine is lined with lanterns its almost as magical as the shrine itself. Iris ran into Max on the way to Lake Ashinoko. That is where her and Max first met starting a never ending friendship. They where on a bus as the tour guide was explain about the lakes history. Iris sitting down going through her pictures on her camera when Max looked right over her side (sitting next to her) gaped in amazement " WOW those are stunning pictures!" Iris looked up and chuckled "Thank you, this is just from Japan I take way more than just this!" thus starting their journey. As Iris headed back to her inn she found out Max was staying in a inn not to far from hers so she decided to promise that the next day they would hang out in main parts of Japan. The Parras at the Yukata greeted her as she got some tea and headed back to her room and went to sleep. The 2nd to last day she woke up and waited for Max to hurry up. Iris is and Earlie bird like really earlier Max however takes his time.Iris ate breakfast all ready at her inn and was ready to go explore Max finally caught up they went to arcades and watched sumo wrestling. Iris insisted to go look at Japans beautiful gardens and castles like the Aizu Wakamatsu Castle after words and for lunch they ate sushi and went to watch Kabuki which is traditional Japanese theater that incorporates dance into performances. They traveled on Shinkansen to go to Tokyo Disneyland after that they went to a Ninja Village where they got to explore hidden door ways and traps and they both headed back to their separate inns thanking eachother for the fun time they had. on Iris last day she enjoyed a tea sermonie and visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. That night she left on her airplane to go meet more people and take more pictures.

Why:
No one knows where Iris exactly grew up in fact she doesnt really talk about it much but the hints all point to America. She loves going here in the summer or winter but mostly summer because of all the cool stuff she gets to do. Arizona’s Grand Canyon is one of the many places she goes to when she comes to America scouring up and down their walls and finding great shots and views. One thing Iris realizes when she visits here is that you can ALL ways find a theme park her personal favorite are six flags and Universal's Islands of Adventure is a theme park in Orlando, her least favorite she trys to avoid is Sea world a little known fact about her is she is some what of an animal rights activist but to the point where she doesn't judges or dissed out things she doesn't under stand. Which leads to another thing shes kind of a book worm/geek about a bunch of stuff. But don't worrie she wont hassle you into what she believes! Iris has also seen the Golden gate bridge and from their went to Washington D.C where she walked past the white house she also paid her respects to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. On the same day she went to visit the tomb of the unknown soldier. Going to a bunch of memorials is also something Iris does every few years to pay her respects to people around the world. She also enjoys going to the central park on New years eve to hear the bands some good other not so much but Iris doesn't just go there for music she also enjoys the peoples enthusiasm she meets a lot of parras their as well.

Traveling to her is like a breath of fresh air in a dank room she didn't always love to travel she was once afraid to travel because she never saw the parras that she loved come back through her home door. she didnt realize she was missing out on a whole new world and adventures she never thought she could have until now. She wanted out of the house out of the same boring city and routine.
