Name: Anchors in a Storm // Hakuran
Name meaning: 'White Storm' in Japanese, while "Anchors in a Storm" comes from this song
Gender: Mare
Eye color: green/red
Halter color: Based off of this somehow
Fun fact about a lesser known thoroughbred race horse: My mare, Sparkle, started out as a race horse. Through her carrier, she did very well and did win about four races. Towards the end of her carrier, she became very slow out of the gate, so she eventually was retired due to the fact she hated other horses close to her. Even though she isn't well known at all, she is my winner is my heart.
Your opinion about horse races: Honestly, I do not mind racing much. As long as the horses are treated well and enjoy running, the sport can be very fun for the horses and allow them to be happy. Some horses are just not cut out to be racers, but I have nothing against the sport as long as the horses are happy with their job. However, I am against the use of illegal tasers used to shock horses as they run and drugs used to make them faster.
Fact about the Icelandic horse breed: Icelandic horses have very sturdy, heavy builds for their small size because they were bred for the vikings. Being on a small island with almost no contact with other breeds, Icelandics had little cross breeding so they are considered the "purest" breed of horse. These pure horses kept their smooth gates and a consistent body shape, so they became very popular with royals and gained popularity because of their smooth gates. Even thought they were in higher demand, they continued a strict line of breeding.
Your favorite horse coat and why: I love all horse colors, because each have their own charms, but these two stand out to me the most.
Grey Dapple- When I first began riding, I loved all the horses, but at the barn I was always drawn to a tall grey dapple named Greyfox. As a beginner, I could not handle a large thoroughbred like him, but always stopped by to pet him and say hi. After a year He was clumsy and goofy, but took care of me. I started leasing him from my trainer and he taught me more then any horse could have. He had a few bad habits, but we taught each other. He was popular because of his color, but even though it was hard to keep clean I loved him. I was with him for about two years, before a lot of family issues came up and I had to live with my dad full time. My dad's house was a lot farther away from the stable, so I had to switch barns. I switched barns a lot after that, since I never found a horse or trainer I clicked with. Eventually I found my current stable, but discovered that Greyfox was taken out on a trail ride and the girl riding him decided to canter through the muddy fields. The mud was too much for him and he tripped and fell, breaking his leg in the process. He had to be put down, but he is still alive in my memory. Even now that I found my true soulmate (soulhorse?), I learned a lot from him and I'm thankful for the time we had together. They are definitely not very common, like chestnuts and bays, but have an elegant glow. Greys are light, so you can practically see every fleck of dirt on them.. but it's worth it to see the gorgeous dappling. ((Well that was deep owo..))
Dark Bay- Dark bay is a color I consider "common charisma". My mare, Sparkle, is a dark bay with bird catcher spots after all.. She would kill me if I didn't like dark bays..For one, you don't have to brush them when a fleck of dirt touches them owo..... The dark coat look extremely well in any color, even though dark hair will destroy a saddle pad. The darker coat always stands out among the other horses and once taken care of and groomed (A lot), it looks like a smooth, dark chocolate brown. I have always admired how pretty dark bays look as they graze across the bright green grass or roll in the light, powdery snow. Even without any markings, it's a nice simple coat that brings in a lot of attention.
Horse coat suggestion: A simple dark bay would be nice with a irregular blaze
Your favorite horse breed cross and why: Dutch Warmblood x Thoroughbred. Each horse posses unique characteristics, yet are almost polar opposites. Dutch Warmbloods are heavy built horses, but are excellent dressage and show jumping horses. They have great upwards movements that allow them to make dramatic movements in the dressage ring. Many Warmbloods are featured in the Olympics, including show jumping. Even with a heavy build, they can easily use the muscle to launch them selves in an arch over the jumps. Thoroughbreds were originally bred for racing, so the breed usually shows long legs, high withers, long necks, and deep chests. This breed has great stamina, but has a flatter canter and gallop. Combining these two horses creates a gorgeous mix between the two body types, but will have great stamina, speed, and movement.
Fun fact about alligators: Unlike many reptiles, alligators live in groups called congregations. Congregations of alligators will team up on large prey animals and will often be seen bathing in the sun together or hunting in the water together.

Fun fact about a lesser known thoroughbred race horse: Ruffian won her first race by 15 lengths
Your opinion about horse races: They are dangerous for the horses and riders alike but most sports are and as long as those involved are well taken care of physically, I don't have a problem with it.
Fact about the Icelandic horse breed: They have a long lifespan and so they are typically only ridden at 4 years of age and older. They can also breed until 25 and the oldest Icelandic horse lived to 56.
Your favorite horse coat and why: blue roan because ever since I was a kid blue has been my favorite color and horses my favorite animal so it just sort of works c:
Horse coat suggestion: seal brown
Your favorite horse breed cross and why: Thoroughbred Appaloosa crosses because I've always loved both breeds

Name: ARINBJÖRN
Name meaning: A combination of the two Old Norse elements Arin, possibly meaning "Hearth" or "Eagle", and Björn, meaning "Bear"
Gender: stallion
Eye color: green/red
Halter color: same as his eyes
Fun fact about a lesser known thoroughbred race horse: Little Wonder (1837–1843) Little Wonder was one of the smallest Thoroughbreds to win a major race, standing less than 15 hands high.
Your opinion about horse races: I feel like horse races aren't so great, so many horses bred for racing but the bad ones usually end up being taken to slaughterhouses because they aren't needed.
Fact about the Icelandic horse breed: Icelandic law prevents horses from being imported in the country.
Since 982 AD, Iceland has banned the importation of horses. and any horse that has been exported cannot return again. This means that the Icelandic horse living in Iceland today has never been around another breed of horse than its own. This has also led to the native Icelandic horses to have very few diseases
Your favorite horse coat and why: Rose gray, I love the coloring of the rose gray horse.
Horse coat suggestion: Buttermilk Dunskin
Your favorite horse breed cross and why: Probably American Saddlebred and Arabian cross, my buddy has a horse like this and he's super gorgeous
Fun fact about alligators: While on the lookout for alligators, you should remember to occasionally look up. American alligators, as well as several other species of crocodylian, are fairly accomplished climbers. As long as there’s enough of an incline for them to haul themselves up, gators can climb trees to get to a better basking spot, or get the drop on you, as the case may be.

Fun fact about a lesser known thoroughbred race horse:
Spectacular Bid died in 2003 at the age of 27. In a final, ironic twist, he suffered a fatal heart attack on June 9, 24 years to the day that he lost in what was his most famous race, the Belmont Stakes. - See more at:

Your opinion about horse races: I dont know much on horse racing do I feel like I can't have much of an opinion on it. I don't mind it and I've even worked the derby. I know some horses love to run and I know that there are some cruel things that can sometimes happen. But cruel things can happen in all disciplines.
Fact about the Icelandic horse breed:
Their digestive tract is designed to absorb a greater proportion of nutrients than with other breeds. Their stomach volume comprises only 2% of the total digestive volume compared with 9% which is typical in other breeds. The large intestine makes up 61% of the total volume of the digestive tract in other breeds while it takes up 71% in Icelandic Horses.

hereYour favorite horse coat and why: It's changed over the last few years I use to love Bays, especially Blood Bays, but now I'm starting to like deep red chestnuts/sorrels. I love the deep red color. I think it is a beautiful color especially when they have the dark noses. I just find a beauty in the richness of dark sorrels and blood bays that's beautiful beyond belief. I also really love black horses. I am partial to black animals I think. Black is just so sleek and stunning. Sorry I can't decide!
Horse coat suggestion: Red sorrel dappled
Your favorite horse breed cross and why: I was raised in a family that lover Quater Horses cause my grandpa use to train them. And the horse I use to ride is a quarter horse. So I love quarter horses. And then the barn I use to ride at the owner loved Arabians. I use to hate Arabians till I started riding there. They sorta grew on me. Now I love them cause they are amazing horses for endurance which I really wish to get into one day. Both horse breeds seem to do well in both English and Western disciplines. So I guess my favorite cross would be a Quarab. They still have that compact body cause both horses are sorta short. And I think putting the two together could make a good horse for any dicipline. That or an Appendix. I love them cause they are adorable.
Fun fact about alligators:
Spanish sailors visiting the New World thought the unfamiliar alligator was a huge lizard. In Spanish, el lagarto means the lizard. English sailors took the name as allagarter and in time it has become alligator.

Fun fact about a lesser known thoroughbred race horse: Black Caviar isn't actually black.
Your opinion about horse races: I truly hate horse races because they injure and traumatise so many young horses, and it's cruel to make a horse run under saddle when it hasn't matured. The treatment of the horses behind the scenes isn't much better, and I despise people who make a big event out of going to see the races just for fun. Although watching the horses is sometimes nice, because they're all muscle and sleek beauty, there's always that thought at the back of my mind that says 'wrong'.
Fact about the Icelandic horse breed: They come from Iceland. Though they are usually pony-sized, most registries and people refer to them as horses.
Your favorite horse coat and why: Bay. It's a staple colour and one I've been in love with since I was a lot younger. Although there are more pretty or interesting coats, I can't get away from the simple beauty of the bay.
Horse coat suggestion: Palomino sabino
Your favorite horse breed cross and why: Man, I love Arab crosses, particularly thoroughbred x Arab. Their spunky natures and overall affection is so adorable, and their dipped faces are too cute! Give me an Anglo Arab anytime!
Fun fact about alligators: Raccoons are natural enemies of the alligator (alligator eggs, that is).

Name: Winter Is Coming // Stark
Name meaning: His coat reminded me of Winter, and I've been searching for the perfect tolter to name in the image of House Stark from the Game Of Thrones books :)
Gender: Stallion
Eye color: green/red
Halter color: Black Leather with golden buckles
Fun fact about a lesser known thoroughbred race horse: Kauto Star was voted the 3rd best steeplechaser in history before been retired; he then went on to become a successful dressage horse - proving that racehorses can turn their talents to many different disciplines.
Your opinion about horse races: When ran correctly, I think they are fine. The horse should always be top priority though, not money or winning. Overuse of the whip or ill fitting equipment should most definitely be penalised.
Fact about the Icelandic horse breed: There are around 80,000 Icelandic horse's in Iceland, which when compared to the human population of 317,000 is pretty impressive. That's just about one horse to every three people!
Your favorite horse coat and why: I'm the type of person who appreciates most horse coats. I love a classic bay with four white socks, yet a nice chestnut flaxen is also hard to beat. I also have a thing for buckskin's, dun skins and chocolate palominos. Oh - and basically anything with dapples!
Horse coat suggestion: Something simple, perhaps a flaxen liver chestnut roan would be interesting?
Your favorite horse breed cross and why: At our riding school, we have a lovely two-year old Shire X Thoroughbred. Although she's not backed yet, she has a wonderfully gentle personality. She is as tall as a Shire, with the light legs and elegant carriage of a Throughbred. I think she's going to make a brilliant riding horse, with the mix of build and personality.
Fun fact about alligators: Those most carnivores only eat meat, alligators can often also be seen munching on fruit.

Fun fact about a lesser known thoroughbred race horse:
First recorded winner of the Grand National was named Lottery.
Your opinion about horse races:
I, to be honest, do not mind horse racing. You may think it's cruel and unnecessary but that's only in a few rare cases. Not all of Horse Racing is bad. Yeah, horses die but they also die in showjumping, eventing and many other equestrian sports. It's just that you hear about horse racing more.
Fact about the Icelandic horse breed:
The state runs an selective breeding program, having breeding evaluations in many places in Iceland each year, and sending judges to other countries. Breeding programs are based principally on the quality of the five gaits peculiar to the Icelandic horse, along with temperament and conformation
Your favorite horse coat and why:
I love black based coats especially Silver Black. I find it unique and eye catching.
Horse coat suggestion:
Classic Champagne
Your favorite horse breed cross and why:
My horse is a cross of unknown proportions... So yeah. Whatever he is because he's cheeky, versatile, calm and he is basically bombproof. He's really safe and you can just do anything on him and he'll let you.
Fun fact about alligators:
The temperature of the alligator's nest determines what sex the offspring will be. Females are produced when the temperatures are below 82.4 degrees Fahrenheit (28 degrees Celsius), and males are produced at temperatures above 91.4 F (33 C). A temperature of 87.8 F (31 C) will produce an even number of males and females.

Fun fact about a lesser known thoroughbred race horse:[WIP, I don't know anything about race horses XD]
Your opinion about horse races: I don't really know much about horse races, but what I have heard hasn't been very positive, as it seems that some jockeys will go to extreme lengths to win a race.
Fact about the Icelandic horse breed: Despite the Icelandic horses' small size, sometimes being pony sized, most registries for the breed refer to it as a horse.
Your favorite horse coat and why: Grullo, I love the primitive markings that show with these coats
Horse coat suggestion: Roan with blanket?
Your favorite horse breed cross and why: Friesian Saddlebred cross, they just look really cute in my opinion
Fun fact about alligators: Alligators can swim silently through the water to sneak up on prey but can also swim up to 20 mph and sprint at 11 mph on land in short bursts.

Name: i see life in black and white - gray
Name meaning: well, due to his colorations, i thought of the whole thing about some animals, such as dogs, seeing in black and white. and while horses can see the blue/green spectrum, they cannot see the red spectrum, so they partially see the world in shades of gray. plus, his coat color kind of made me think of this name as well.
Gender: stallion
Eye color: green/red
Halter color: black with silver gems/spots(:
Fun fact about a lesser known thoroughbred race horse Hallowed Dreamsdidn't seem like she was going to win anything when she was first taken to the racing track. She was so nervous she couldn't sleep and would barely eat. To calm her down they put a big paint gelding named Buck in with her and that calmed her down enough that she won her first major race. To this day, Buck still stays close and takes her to all her races, due to his calming influence.
Your opinion about horse races: I strongly dislike them. The horses are pushed too far at too young; so many end up breaking their legs and thusly having to be broken down; since they are still so young, their bones are still very brittle and breakable. Plus, many jockeys have gone to extreme lengths to win, and have hurt the horses in the process.
Fact about the Icelandic horse breed: 1000 years of no cross breeding makes the Icelandic Horse the purest breed in the world. Because of this, once a horse leaves Iceland it can never go back. This rule was made to keep the breed pure and keep diseases out. But, due to this pureness, for a horse to be registered Icelandic they must go through serious DNA testing to ensure that the parents are purebreds as well.
Your favorite horse coat and why: roan. any sort of roan. red roan, blue roan, bay roan, etc etc. they are all gorgeous to me. back in California, when I was a child, my mom had an appaloosa mare staying at a boarding stable. at that stable, the owner had a red roan mare. it was gorgeous to me, the way that she seemed to change color in different seasons. this makes sense, since "roan" in Icelandic translates to "always changing color". this said mare once had a blue roan baby, and I fell in love with that thing; I was so happy that the owner let me go in the stall every time I was out to play with it; I was also lucky that the mommy horse was nice and not too overprotective.
Horse coat suggestion: I would absolutely die of happiness if you did this! austin is a gypsy vanner show horse known for his gorgeous/unique coloration. he is considered a tobiano snowflake dapple silver.
Your favorite horse breed cross and why: Arabian x Quarter Horse. I've always loved the delicate way that Arabians look, how gorgeous and royal they hold themselves. And then my mother got a Quarab about eight years ago. I fell in love with him. But not for the reasons that most people would. Oh no. He is the funniest looking thing in the world. That's why I love him. He has a quarter like body covered in lean arab muscles. His legs are far too long and gangly for his stocky body. And his face.. Oh Gosh. It's my favorite thing. He has a quarter horse jaw and cheeks, but he has the dip in his head that arabs have. And then his eyes. That's the best part. They are too far apart. He looks kind of like a frog. It makes me laugh. But he's the sweetest thing, with the most loving personality. That's why I love Quarabs.
Fun fact about alligators: Alligators eyes are bigger than their stomachs. However, thanks to a special blood vessel—their second aorta—they’re able to shunt blood away from their lungs and towards their stomachs, stimulating the production of strong stomach acids to break down their meals faster. Juvenile alligators are capable of eating about 23 percent of their body weight in a sitting, which is equivalent to a 180 pound person eating over 41 pounds of steak at a meal.
