Call Name: Cooper "Coop"
Sex: Male
Mate:
Eye color: Blue
Collar color: Pale blue
Phenotype: Black tan point with ticked irish spotting
Genotype: kk/BB/DB/ata/EE/gg/sisi/TT/mm/XX/ZZ
Parent: ---
Parent: ---
Event/Competitions: Agility
Why: Before being introduced to agility, Coop was a very difficult, unruly animal. He was passed from handler to handler, hoping to find someone capable of bringing him to heel (literally and figuratively). His current handler had been at his wits end when he brought Cooper with him to do practice runs on an agility course with a different dog. Instead of staying penned up, Cooper was relentless at trying to get out and investigate the what all the fuss was about. Leery but seeing no harm in letting Coop sniff around, his handler let him wander about, only to find him attempting to mimic what the other dog had been doing. He lacked finesse but was excited and eager. From that point on, his handler focused Coop's training in agility and has since found him to have some serious potential. Despite his skill on the agility course, Cooper remains a stubborn dog who selectively obeys commands off the course. Regardless, Cooper now thrives on agility trials. He's highly attentive toward his handler when they're practicing or running a course. Tearing through obstacles sparks such extraordinary adrenaline rushes in him, especially when he's competing.

Show Name: (Retired) Art of the Bird
Call Name: Artisan
Sex: Male (Neutered after 5 puppies)
Mate: --
Eye color: Blue
Collar color: Beige to dark brown gradient with dark brown to white stripes, resembling a prairie chicken.
Phenotype: Black tan point with ticked irish spotting
Genotype: kk/BB/DB/ata/EE/gg/sisi/TT/mm/XX/ZZ
Parent: ---
Parent: ---
Event/Competitions: Retired Flushing Dog, mainly used for flushing and retrieving Tympanuchus, otherwise known as a prairie chicken - more specifically, the Lesser Prairie Chicken, Tympanuchus pallidicinctus. Although for the NBDCA, he was also raised to love pheasant hunting.
Why: As a younger puppy and throughout his adolescence, Artisan had always been fascinated with fowl. Raised from a litter birthed from two of the finest conformation showing dogs, it was quite a odd occurrence that Artisan had a strong natural instinct for hunting birds. Deciding to embrace this instinctive gift, Artisan was trained to follow his true calling, Flushing, and registered in the NBDCA (National Bird Dog Challenge Association). For 8 long years Artisan reined as an unbeatable competitor, winning many prizes and titles before peacefully retiring at the pleasant and current age of 11.

Call Name: Kuparr (Indigenous Australian; meaning "red earth, burnt earth," referring to the red ochre)
        Sex: Male
        Mate: N/A
        Eye color: Blue
Collar color: Faded/worn black leather collar.
Phenotype: Black tan point with ticked irish spotting

        Parent: ---
        Event/Competitions: Herding/Livestock work
Why: Kuparr is most active in herding, as it is the most physical & mentally stimulating arena in which to work. He thrives on working long hours & jobs that require the stamina Australia insists on testing daily. Matching movements with whistled instructions, Kuparr must be quick to respond to secure his objective. Though the task may always be somewhat the same, the procedure provides the intrigue as it is always different.

I think music is about our internal life.
It's part of the way people touch each other.
That's very precious to me. And astronomy is,
in a sense, the very opposite thing. Instead of
looking inwards, you are looking out, to things
beyond our grasp.
