First meeting:
As the big black duely truck with the camoflauge trim roared down the highway from Cherokee to the pick up ranch in Wyoming, a young, Native American girl sang to the radio, Country Girl shake It For Me, by Luke Bryan was on and it was one of her favorite songs. She looked at the rearview mirror and smiled at the thought of the trip back home. Only a couple of more hours, then she would get to meet the wild horse she had signed up for. Little did she know how rocky a road this would be.
"There we go!" she said to the little black Min Pin puppy named Remington as the truck pulled into the drive with the big overhang sign that read CottonWood Horse Ranch. She pulled into a loading area and put the truck in park. She opened the door and hopped out, Remington hopping into her arms. The young girl wore right fitting black jeans with a buckskin vest, covering a black tank top. Her long black braid shone against her darker skin as she walked to the office.
"Ah! I'll show you to your mare!" the last at the desk said as she showed them the papers. The lady led her past several pens holding wild horses that were frightened at every little noise.
