I'm encountering the same sort of problem. I added Chicken Smoothie to the list, and it loaded the Oekaki, but when I hit save drawing, there was a popup saying:

Error:access denied ("java.net.SocketPermission")
"75.101.141.188:80" "connect,resolve")

Your drawing has not been saved

Try switching to Chibipaint V2.0 You can do so here.

Thanks for the help, but it still isn't working. Once I switched, it said I needed to have Lava installed to use the oekaki. But I went to the Java site, and it said I have the recommended version.

Is Java enabled on your browser? That might be the issue if you haven't enabled it.

i've got a question. when i try to use oekaki on firefox, java always blocks chibipaint. how can i get it to stop blocking chibipaint?

Have you whitelisted Chicken Smoothie on the Java Exception list? If not, there're instructions on how to do so here. You'll need to add http://www.chickensmoothie.com/ to the whitelist.

That might be your problem too. Try switching to v2 of chibipaint and making sure java is enabled in your browser
