At the stables, Masato is known to be a lively stallion that many can't ride. He's very much so a prankster and pulls his pranks on horses and humans a like. Those who know him, know that it's not very often that this stallion is calm, but those close to him know that when he's not pulling pranks and is by himself, he's one of the calmest stallions. He only pulls these pranks around other horses and humans because he enjoys the company of others, but doesn't know how to correctly act. Sometimes his pranks hurt feelings and he wants to feel bad, but he doesn't know how to show those emotions.

Personality: Rising is a strange mare. She'll only be nice during the night and at dawn, and after that she's a little devil. She kicks and bucks and screams during the day, snapping at anyone who comes near her. But as soon as the sun sets she's as docile as a stuffed toy, melting under anyone's touch, giving sweet nickers and loving on everyone. Her behavior often confuses newcomers to the stables, as she's got nearly a split personality, but she'll never change, and many people have fallen in love with her sweet side, only to be very surprised once she takes a bite at their hand during the day.

Raijin's name fits him. Like thunder, he is brash and loud; like lightning, he is flighty and flashy. He's unlikely to stay in one place for long, a true explorer at heart, and often trades stalls at the stables to appease his wanderlust. He's liable to bite if cornered, and bite hard; he spares no one's feelings when his own are at stake. To that end, Raijin is also incredibly selfish. But it's not impossible to win him over, and he does have a small scattering of friends, in particular Bird. Their personalities slot together like they were meant to be; Bird is also self-assured and showy. They build one another up perfectly, and once Raijin has a friend he keeps them.

He always seems to know what needs to be done to resolve a situation and then immediately does it; he's fantastic at disarming temper tantrums and putting other horses in their places. He butts heads often with Bird's son Lark, usually because the latter is trying to tell Raijin what to do and he disagrees with it. He doesn't have enough umph to be a lead horse but he also doesn't appreciate being dragged about by his nose. Since Lark is incredibly aggressive with his demands, Raijin finds him on the whole distasteful. He's fine on his own and that makes him almost entirely independent on the Clovercliff herd, functioning separately from the group. He doesn't mind this. Raijin has always prided himself on being like a storm, and storms do not need a full-blown hurricane to survive.
