newborn - early teenage years
"I don't remember much from those years of my life. Then again, no one really does. What I remember most clearly was my parents. Well- their absence from my life. They were business moguls and I've hated it ever since I was a young kid. However, I didn't have to deal with them being intentionally gone for long. They passed away in a private plane crash when I was ten. I hated the rest of my family so I ran away to the streets of Louisiana."
early teens - late teens
"This is when my life gets spiced up. After my parents died I lived on the streets, stealing just enough to get by. I picked up a job at the graveyard for the mortician, digging the graves. It was an easy job and I got paid enough to buy what I needed, though I did steal occasionally.
One night when I happened to be working a late night shift, a man approached me. I felt safe, like he meant me no harm. This guy spoke with a voice that captivated my soul. He had me in the palm of his hand from the first time we met. He promised me a life of fun and trickery, which, at the time, I had no idea that I wanted that. He knew me better than I knew myself. He explained to me what he was and after that, that's all I had my sights on.
Two days later, witchcraft training had begun. It most difficult in every way possible. I had no idea what I had gotten myself into. He was hard on me and I ended up living with him and becoming his full on student. I was taught many lessons and everything that I needed to know- but there was still one factor, could I trick people into believing what they cannot see? Thats where my problem started. I couldn't trick people the way he could. That was until he told me, "Being a witchdoctor is not about being magic, its about tricking others to believe you are." There was something about that saying that worked for me and I could do anything I believed in.
By the time I was eighteen, I could have people believing they were swamp frogs. I was unstoppable."
late teens-today
"Two years ago, I made the decision to work on my own. I formulated my plan and executed it when I turned nineteen. I killed my teacher and took over his store. I did it quickly and easily. It felt right- being on my own that is. As soon as I buried him, I set to work on fining my hopeless and dramatic clients. Everyone needed something, so it wasn't hard to find them, and I suppose that's how I got to where I am now."

nala and yannis wrote:My first impression of Nala was annoying. She was persistent and always just so happy. I couldn't stand it, though she insisted that we be friends. I'm mean but not that mean, so I said whatever. I could only shrug at what she was saying because in reality I never really cared about what she happened to be talking about at that time.
But, what I didn't realise, was that she was my friend. No matter how grumpy or arrogant and standoffish I could be, she still wanted to talk to me. But when it really hit me, was when I figured that she was my only true friend. Even though I went through the previous synopsis, I couldn't see her as my friend. I never felt that way about anyone.
I still don't consider her my friend. I don't want to. I don't have friends.

yannis and shasta wrote:There's one word to describe Shasta Jake; curious. I met her when she was on a trip with her parents visiting Louisiana. She has a keen eye for the supernatural and found my shoppe almost instantly. Her demeanor was kind, yet there was something more to her behind those eyes. Passion. We she looked at me, at felt a fire run through my soul, something of which I've never felt before.
I was intrigued by her, something I cannot say about most people. Her time in Louisiana was short, but she kept in touch with me. I cannot describe the feeling I felt around her, or even the feeling she felt towards me. I can tell you it was more that just a friendly stance.
Though my relationship with her should be at the most a friendship, I'd rather consider her my acquaintance. Like I've said before, I don't have friends, nor do I do girlfriends.
