______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Personality;
Ruxy is the outgoing, straight-shooting types. She; being Enthusiastic and excitable, is a "doer" who lives in the world of action. Also known to be a blunt, straight-forward, risk-taker, she is always willing to plunge right into things and get her hooves dirty. She lives in the here-and-now, and place little importance on introspection or theory. Ruxy likes to look at the facts of a situation, quickly decide what should be done, execute the action, and move on to the next thing, meanwhile she will not give a single fuss about what others think of her.
Ruxy has an uncanny ability to perceive people's attitudes and motivations. She picks up on little cues which go completely unnoticed by most others, such as facial expressions and stance. she's typically a couple of steps ahead of whoever she is interacting with and likes to lead the way when they stumble. Ruxy uses this ability to get what she wants out of a situation. Rules and laws are seen as guidelines for behavior, rather than mandates. If Ruxy has decided that something needs to be done, then her "do it and get on with it" attitude takes precendence over the rules. Hence her name! However, Ruxy tends to have her own strong belief in what's right and what's wrong, and will doggedly stick to those principles.
Ruxy has a strong flair for drama and style. she is a fast-moving, fast-talking Tolter who has an appreciation for the finer things in life. She is some what of gambler. she's usually very good at story telling and improvising. Ruxy typically makes things up as she goes along, rather than following a plan. She love to have fun, and is a fun Tolter to be around. But she can sometimes be hurtful to others without being aware of it, as she generally does not know and may not care about the effect her words have on others. It's not that she doesn't care about others, it's that her decision-making process does not involve taking others feelings into account. she make decisions based on facts and logic.

Username: GhiraWar.
Name: Sand in the Hourglass, "Sahara."
Gender: Mare.
Halter Color: Pale yellow with lighter spots.
Personality: Sahara has a dry sense of humor and a royal sense of forbiddance. She hates doing things on her own and forces others to do it for her, not wanting to get her hooves dirty. She is stuck up and rude and will not hesitate to throw a queenly fit. She is caring under all that snootiness, thank the lord.
1 Extra:

and my dear who ever said it was going to be easy?

From August 23rd to August 31st, 2005, Hurricane Katrina swept through most of eastern North America. Among the many places it ravaged was a young filly’s home-tearing her mother, eyesight, and everything she had ever held dear to her away. Even though the storm blinded her, she still found a way to truly see.
Katrina huddled closer to her mother’s belly, aching for warmth and comfort. As another fierce flash of lightning tore through the dark sky and thunder roared like a maddened lion, the filly shivered and pushed closer against her dam, who stood strong and calm. It’s just a storm, Katrina assured herself, but something about the way torrents of rain crashed down and threatened to flood through the barn convinced her otherwise. This is no normal storm.
Fiery lightning flashed down even closer than normal, and a gelding on the far end of the barn thrashed about in his stall. The sound of hooves slamming against the wood only served to rile the horses up more, and Katrina closed her eyes. Only a storm. Only a storm.
Wood snapping next to her ear startled her from her thoughts and Katrina stumbled as the stall partition beside her and her mother partially broke under the weight of their neighboring horse, who had thrown himself repeatedly against the wall. Katrina only caught a glimpse of his eyes for a second, but there was no mistaking the look in his eyes; wild, crazed, and very, very fearful. Katrina’s mother stepped threateningly towards the larger horse and bared her teeth, but he paid no attention to her and flung himself at the wall on his other side.
Though the panicked cries of equines filled her ears, Katrina could hear the storm begin to diminish. The rain fell quieter, the lightning touched down seemingly further. The roaring thunder quieted to an annoyed snarl, and rarely pierced the night. Slowly, little by little, the horses lost their looks of wild fear and stopped destroying their stalls in an attempt to escape.
And just when it could have been considered calm, everything collapsed.

Katrina shifted slightly, opening her eyes. Only darkness greeted her, and even after blinking, black was all she saw. Ignoring the mild stinging pain she felt behind her eyes, she extended her four legs and stood up, fighting to keep her balance. Strangely, she couldn’t hear it, but she could feel a slight breeze whistling past her.
The filly went to take a step forward, but instead of stepping down on soft straw, she hit damp, splintered wood. What? she thought, stepping forward again. There was something wrong-she couldn’t see, she couldn’t hear, she didn’t appear to be in her stall.
Then, everything came crashing back.
The screams. The storm. The whole barn seemingly dissipating, taking some along with it. Now, as Katrina stepped further into the mangled remains of her stall, she could feel the sunlight on her back, she could feel her hooves splash in small puddles.
But in no way could she hear or see it.
The scents had hit her like a train-water and rot and death. She was overwhelmed, and it took all of her strength just to drag her broken body out of the barn, limping with her shoulder along the mangled wood. When her front hooves hit flooded grass, she collapsed, the reality forcing its way into her mind. She didn’t want to believe it, but deep down, she knew it was true.
Her mother had been in there. And she wasn’t coming out.
Katrina coughed up water, closing her eyes. She didn’t react when a human’s hands ran over her coat, or when they lifted her up and into a space. She could feel their breath on her-they were singing, speaking, screaming. But she didn’t care.
As the torn filly finally succumbed to sleep, all she could think about was what she lost.
years later
After the hurricane, vets had managed to restore the hearing in one of her ears, but her blindness could not be cured. Due to shrapnel damaging her left eye, they had to remove it, leaving Katrina with less and less.
The mare had sunk into horrible depression- she allowed the humans to do whatever, but she didn’t react. She just stood there, her one eye glazed over, dull expression. No matter what they tried, she just didn’t move; she couldn’t bring herself to when scenes from the hurricane were the only thing that crossed her vision, playing over and over again in her mind all day.
Once, the humans had put her in the trailer, and had gone to take her somewhere; on the way, they had passed a zoo. Katrina had experienced something she never had before-she could suddenly feel the animals’ sadness, and though she couldn’t see them, she suddenly knew all about them. One in particular struck her- a lion. She could feel the king’s power radiating off of him; she could see the sadness in his eyes. Katrina filtered through his memories, how he was a wild king once; but captured and held prisoner by the zoo.
Katrina soon found she could do this with many animals-even humans- and she learned to help the ones she felt in greatest need. Maybe the storm had taken her eyes, but it had also given her the opportunity to really see what was going on.
