Hello everyone,

I just wanted to apologise with the lack of progress I have made since starting this event because, in all honesty, I have not worked on any of this gifts since the beginning of February. I had gravely underestimated the amount of work I would receive this semester and I still have to do for my Zoology degree (as well as a couple of tiny emotional things). I hope that you can all forgive me for my incompetence.

It now looks like I might not be free until the summer, but even then I might struggle to get online depending on a few factors. I have a written plan of what I'm doing for everyone's gifts, but if anybody who hasn't already received a gift has lost interest in receiving a gift from me could get in touch with me via PM I'd be most grateful. I will try and get back to things over the summer holidays if not sooner.

I am deeply sorry to have let everyone down. I hope you all had a lovely Easter though. <3

Helloooooooooo everybody!

My second year of my degree is officially over, which means that my summer break has already begun. Thus it gives me great pleasure to say that I can now continue working on Christmas Gifts from this 2014 event!

However before I go cray-cray and start work on everybody else's gifts, I thought I'd let you know about a few of my plans for the future of this event:

Item 1: No more line edits (for now)

Due to extreme time constraints and my desire to get gifts to everybody A.S.A.P. I will be cutting corners in order to get these guys out by hopefully the end of June. This sadly includes any mane, tail, tack, etc. which I planned to do for people's gifts- basically all gifts from this point onwards will be based on the original lineart of CWHR.

HOWEVER before you sharpen your pitchforks and light your torches, I am planning to allow you to order free edits for your gifts, but only once the event is finished. Keep an eye out on the thread for updates (as I will have all my master-plans by then).

Item 2: Extended claiming time for future gifts

Because I understand time constraints at this time of year, I am abolishing the original claiming time rule and I will instead ask you to claim your horses by the completion of the last horse please!!! (NB- the owner of the last horse will have 72 hours to claim their horse before the original claiming rules apply)

I might make a start now, but it's 3am at the time this was posted, so some sleep might be a good idea! XD

Alright guys, now onto free tack and/or line art edits for gifts!

(Apologies for the delay- been napping to catch up on missed sleep! XD )

Ok, since I did line and tack edits for some people back in the New Year they are not entitled to the free edits on offer (however they are able to order edits via the conventional ordering thread.) These people are (links to their gifts):

Ok, now onto how things are gonna work!

Everybody has two options when it comes to ordering their free line edits and tack:

1. You can get randomised edits by me- for edits to the line art I will make them as accurate to the breed. For 50/50 crossbreeds I will randomise which traits are inherited and for other crossbreeds I will prioritise the . Tack will probably be a halter and blanket based on the favourite colours you listed in your forms. Plus if your stables (archives) have a logo I will incorporate the design into the blanket (NB- you might have to PM me if your logo isn't on your archive page)

2. You can choose the edits- Note that I will not accepted edits that are not accurate to the breed (i.e. no feathering for Thoroughbreds and no Andulasian manes for Appaloosas), so make sure to check over your reference pictures carefully. For tack you may choose whatever you wish (from Dressage sets to Western gear!), but please note that the more complex and intricate the design the longer I will take to draw it


Now one thing I will note is that I will be doing these in my own time, which means that there is probably going to be a delay whilst I focus on the Mustang Makeover and University work (which I should probably look at before the term starts again... ) If this is going to be an issue for you, please let me know via PM and we can work something out (also note that I will prioritise the faster orders in order to keep things moving.) ^^;

If you wish another artist to do one or more edits for you, please PM me so that I can confirm with your selected artist that they are willing to carry out your order for you for free. In the case that your chosen artist is able to do your edits for free, you can either order them as regular edits on the main order thread or choose to have free edits done by myself.

Preferred line edits: it's the mane, kinda like a fjords except a bit more wild and messy, perhaps add a longer forelock as well to give her the feminine look, kinda the same thing with the tail too if possible. Another thing, could she perhaps have a slight bit of feathering? If not it's fine
Preferred tack edits: something like this with matching leg bands/bracelet on each leg
