They tried to catch me, they really tried to catch me?! Thankfully, it was almost dark , meaning they'd have to light their torches, and whatever else they had to do. The village people, oh gosh. They had been after me for almost 3 months now, did they really think they were going to catch me? Alright, alright, let me explain what had happened. Usually, in the village, there was a kid that was always trying to fight off the other, much older, villagers the would try to catch me, or any other DAM that would come wandering in. Sometimes, he'd be the first one to spot me, he'd usually sneak out of his hut, and try to come to me, he'd usually have some kind of treat, like some radishes his family had planted for their crops or some hay from the live stock they had, which considered of cattle and a few goats. He knew I wouldn't come to him, so he'd usually leave them somewhere and watch me come to eat them. One of the villagers must have found out or something, because instead of the usual thing, there 3 of the villagers came, all three had ropes and a whip. I took my time, eating the radishes he had brought, and stood there. They would attempt, but they would fail... like always. As they approached, I flattened my ears and stood up taller, trying to make myself look bigger and more dominant to try to scare them off. They kept coming. I let out a loud snort and decided to go ahead and head back, but before I could turn, one lashed their rope at me. I let out a loud whinny and tried to turn away, but the rope, it had already made it's way onto my neck. I had been caught. I let out a loud whinny but then the next two people threw their ropes and successfully made it around my neck. They began pulling me and I tried to pull away, but these villagers were stronger then they looked. Eventually, they had pulled me into a paddock. After a ton of failed escape attempts, I gave out and laid down. " Hey " I heard out of no where. I flattened my ears and looked around, finally, my eyes set on him. It was the boy. " You don't deserve this.." he muttered and opened the gate. I narrowed my eyes at him and stood up, looking at the now open gate then back at him. This was a trick... After what seemed like forever, but was actually a few seconds, he walked in and up to me. I turned away from him and he gently laid his hand on my shoulder. I let out a loud huff as a warning and felt his hand leave my shoulder and gently make it's way to the ropes. He untied them and threw them on the ground. " Go. " he whispered. My ears twitched up and I turned back to the gate. " Go " he snorted. Finally, I made a mad dash for it, running as fast and as far as I could go.

Extra: Worshipped as a deity by various local towns to where she roams, she's careful to only appear when rain is going to fall, as she delights in the myth about DAMs and herself, nothing is more fun to her than teasing and stringing along the humans and other creatures that fall for it. When on an off chance she encounters another DAM, she's secretly flustered, though all she appears outwardly is prim and proper and that she's one cut above all the rest of the world.
She goes out of her way to come off as ethereal, taking delight in the awe she receives when successful at this which is more often than not. Even some DAMs have described her as ethereal before. Whether this is a compliment, mockery, or something worse Chantelle's not sure. To be perfectly honest she doesn't know how to socialize normally or pick up properly on social ques.
Secretly longs for a friend; pretending to be a goddess gets rather lonely.
