Why I Would Like Him & Use:

I'm not even sure where to begin on how much I love him. First of all, I love his species! It's very unique and I've never been one for normality anyways. His coloring/design seems simple yet complex at the same time. I find it neat how the design is under the coloring and not overwhelming or bright. His tail reminds me of snow or a blizzard while his body coloring reminds me of a fire or a sunset/sunrise. I adore the way he was created as well, with his cute floppy ears and rather chubby legs. I definitely plan on getting more art of him and showing him to the people of CS! I will never let him collect dust, he will always be used either in my signature, trade settings or both! I may even create a little story using him.

Josiah has a small coin-shaped piece of steel with a 3-D Lotus Flower stamped into it. Although it's not worth anything in the way of wealth it has great meaning to him. He got it from a beloved family in a town with a lot of good memories. Since then he has taken it with him on his travels adding even more meaning to it.

Personality:

Josiah is extremely light-hearted and reasonable making him genuine and real. He loves having fun and will risk any embarrassment for a good laugh. His jokes tend to be corny but people love him anyways. He tends to be somewhat of a clown and when in the mood is a talented wordsmith. Josiah is also very athletic and will challenge anyone to a competition, but he won't let them win easily. He takes defeat well but doesn't appreciate it being brought back up unless it included good memories. Josiah comes off as confident, masculine, and attractive to everyone he meets although he is short in height. He is very spiritual and when he seeks after spiritual truth he finds it. Josiah also enjoys flashing lights and colors and at night he can be seen dancing or doing flips under the stars.

History/Background to Now:

I grew up in a dysfunctional family with parents I couldn't stand. My parents were wealthy and I was spoiled with anything I ever wanted with a few exceptions of course! The problem with that was I never had what I needed and what I needed was love, not acceptance, merely love. Because of this I found God and I clung to him making me rather spiritual. As a child, things had been simple enough until I started getting into trouble. I would steal anything I could get my hands on. I was a little troublemaker but I'm not going to go into anymore detail on any of that, because I prefer to stay positive now. Anyways I've grown out of that! I have a brother and sister who I've mostly always gotten along with except for the little skirmishes every now and then. We like to play board games and card games and occasionally we play pranks on each other!

My friendships throughout the years weren't much better than my home life. They were filled with a lot of betrayal and back-stabbing. I only have one friend that I've kept from when I was little, Remmy, and he never once has gotten into a fight with me although we have our disagreements at times. Remmy is even shorter than me! He didn't have a great home life either and each year we had a week to "get away" from it all. We went to a rather large gathering filled with friends whom I consider family, a.k.a. a camp! This camp was centered around Jesus Christ in which most everyone there believed in, especially me. I got the opportunity to play in the band there; I relate to Jesus and most other people through music. Although this camp was great, it didn't last long and the rest of my year was much different and less exciting than that week.

The rest of the year was spent in the same dull routine which I filled with hobbies, and lots of them! Mostly I filled extra time with sports including soccer, basketball, football, track, and cross-country to stay in shape from all the food I eat. That's not all I would do though; I really like to stay as occupied as possible to keep my focus off of the bad things in life. I also enjoyed playing instruments like the guitar and piano. Music is one of the greatest escapes in my life and I use it quite often as I'm sure other people do too. My other escape was my beautiful princess, Syndica.

Syndica was and still is what you might call my girlfriend, I consider her my future wife, same thing right? Anyways, I told her everything about me and she was my shelter when things got rough at home. Before I opened up to her I wronged her, I abandoned her for other things. She hadn't come to me at a good time in my life and I wasn't ready for her, yet when I was she welcomed me back with open arms. Since then we've been together for four years and hopefully many more! The only bad trait about her is she can be a know-it-all and not realize it.

I consider myself to be friends with everyone although I don't really enjoy a lot of peoples' company I would never tell them. Lately I've thrown my childhood to the wind and taken to kindness to help me through the world. I like to be completely honest with people unlike during my childhood in which I would lie every time I had the chance. Now I treat everyone with humble kindness because everyone has been through something in their past that they struggled through.

What do you wish to get out of this critique?: Please be outright and frank with me if there is something unpleasing in my form or something I could do better. This is the first time I've done something like this and I would like to make sure it is done correctly and to the best of my abilities. I'd like to know if my word choice is alright and if the length of my personality portion is okay; for some reason I can't seem to make it longer. Also are the colors too much? Why him:
I was looking through the characters, and I hadn't really liked any of them enough to stop scrolling. I just remembered their kennel numbers, and kept on going. Then I saw Terrestidoth, and stopped completely. Going to find the form and filling it out. His name is perfect for him, and in my care it will not change.


Use:
If I win Terrestidoth, I'll put him in stories of mine. I'm writing a story with my adoptables and characters, and he seems perfect for one of the parts. He also seems quite melancholy which I will explain later in the form. He will be loved and cherished, and his absence of wings is no problem.

Personality:
Terrestidoth has many stories to tell, and with luck you may hear a few. While not physically old for a dragon, his soul is ancient. No one knows his true age, including him. He lost track of it a couple decades back, or was it centuries? No matter, he still has long to go yet. Terrestidoth loves helping people, and should he have advice or a story you need to hear, he will tell you. By no means do you have to follow his advice, but usually it's a good idea to. Sometimes his words don't make any sense, this is just because he needs to rephrase his sentence. His brain goes slightly faster than his mouth can, causing issues at times. Chances are you've done the same.he is also a very gentle beast, never intending to hurt anyone.


History/Background:
When Terrestidoth was young, for a dragon at least, he had a great friend. This friend lived among the mountain tops and played among trees. This friend was an eagle, bright spirited and happy she flew around Terrestidoth as he walked through the mountains. She would talk and talk, though this didn't bother Terrestidoth.

"One day I caught a salmon while it was jumping, it was a big one too! You'd never believe the struggle it put up. It was thrashing the entire way to my perch, I could hardly kill it! Then there was the time I came head to head with a mountain lion. Nasty beast that one was. You could smell meat rotting between it's teeth, and you could see it's ribs. This thing was hungry, and tried to grab me. With a swipe of my talons and quick flap of my wings I got away though. Have you ever seen the sea? A couple years ago I traveled there, having heard rumors about it's huge size. When I first got there I was confused because I could see across it, but then an osprey explained to me that what I was looking at was only a sound. A sound is a mix between fresh and saltwater, it was separating a few islands from the mainland. Do you know how many fish live there? It was glorious hunting for days. The ocean though was even better, the waves would crash and soaring far above you could see dolphins. There was also a whale! That thing was huge, bigger than you even! Then I had to travel back here, and I'm glad I did, because then I met you! Remember how we met?"

"Yes, I was there."

"Silly me! Of course you were." and she would keep talking. Her name was Lizzie, which Terrestidoth learned upon the first few seconds of talking to her in the valley. He had told her his name as well, which she had talked on about for 5 minutes straight. It would annoy some the amount she talked, but Terrestidoth liked it. He didn't speak much, and her talking meant he wouldn't have to.

There was an old abandoned country road running through the mountains, and Terrestidoth never had to worry about cars when he was crossing the road, even less now that it was snowing. He didn't give the gravel under his feet a second thought until he glanced to his right after getting a good ways across the road. Having never seen this road, Lizzie was inspecting something on it. Probably a shiny piece of gravel. What Terrestidoth saw changed everything about this situation. Not ten feet down was a pair of headlights, and heading towards Lizzie.

"LIZZIE GET OVER HERE!" He yelled and tried to run towards her, but the ground he was on had a thick layer of smooth slippery ice. Lizzie looked up, and saw the car mere inches in front of her. The car ran her over, and her wing broke under the tire. When Terrestidoth got to her he saw the wing, he fixed it as best he could and for the rest of her life she rode on his back as they walked through the mountains. She couldn't fly, so Terrestidoth would hunt her favorite foods for her. She was just as talkative as before, but something was always slightly different. It was no matter though, they were still best of friends until Lizzie died of old age. Terrestidoth misses her terribly, but every night on a full moon her spirit will come to talk to him wherever he is.


First sight:
Terrestidoth's first sight was a lake just outside of his cave. His egg was left in the cave by his parents, thinking his egg would never hatch. His siblings had hatched before him, and were excited to get going and explore the world. After awhile his parents gave up on the hope that he would ever hatch, and gave in to their other children's wishes of exploration.


How he chose his name:
Terrestidoth chose his name because of a dragon that came to his cave. The dragon chatted with the intention of stealing Terrestidoth's cave, but he realized from the old shattered egg shell Terrestidoth had lived here his whole life. The dragon asked him where his mother, father, and siblings were and what his name was. Terrestidoth was forced to reply that he didn't know, and that they had left before he hatched. He also told the dragon he didn't have a name. The dragon had decided to let him keep the cave, and to search for another one, but not before telling him a story. A story about the dragons parents leaving behind an egg they thought would never hatch, they didn't know if they were siblings or not but it was possible. The dragon said one more thing before flying away. He suggested several names, and Terrestidoth chose the one that he felt fit him best. Terrestidoth.


Terrestidoth's wings:
While Terrestidoth has never had real wings, and never will have real wings, he had dreams of flight. Terrestidoth built a great structure of wood tied together in the rough shape of wings. He found thin leather to stretch over the structure, and tied that down as well. He found a cliff high enough to give the wings time to work, but low enough that should he fall he wouldn't die. Waiting for good wind, he leapt off the cliff and into the air. He glided slowly downwards for a good time, and then the wind stopped. He dropped faster now, the leather straining itself not to break, before another wind caught his wings and set him gently on the ground. The experience gave him a guess to what it would be like to fly, and every once in a long while he will pull the wings out and look at them remembering his gliding session. He may glide again, for the feeling isn't remembered quite as well now because that happened so long ago.


Why he doesn't speak much:
He knows the dragon language, and english well, all dragons do when they're born, but having no one around to talk to for most of his life he has become a listener more than a speaker. He keeps mostly to himself as well, unless he spots someone in trouble.
